Yep, but it came from bats, but not a single bat has been found with the version alpha type covid 19 virus. The way it spread to the market was from a lab worker who was infected gave it to a family member who worked at the market and infected people coming to the market. It spread globally when people fearing how the government was treating people who were infected, fled to the UK from china first via roads to border cities then catching flights to the UK and then onto other countries.

The first USA imported case is Strain B/C from a Chinese at Washington State. The leak might be an accident. But what is indisputable is the fact that China intentionally let the Wuhan inhabitants travel out to the rest of the world while locking Wuhan domestically in Feb-Mar 2021. It was a sinister move to spread and impose the misery worldwide. Even with deaths and widespread going on within Wuhan/some in the West, the WHO refused to acknowledge the pandemic so as to protect China's open international border policy. It was until May or so with the worldwide spread finally completed that WHO finally acknowledged the virus status. All these players should be charged to international court. Don't believe? The evidences are on the news in early 2020 for you to verify.

Plus, Chinese scientists had warned the international community and released the sequence of the virus on public servers in January. @@jamesl2590 Not factually correct. France shipped planeloads of people back, this ensuring the virus would propagate with 100 per cent certainty. Imagine the cost of leaving a few hundred people in a city where they chose to live and letting them stay there compared to providing free transport to bring virus carriers to every intelligent, scientific and rational country where millions are dead, the virus will exist for eternity and tens of millions are doomed to die in the future. China managed to contain the outbreak in a large city and if all the European and American countries had left their nationals in place this virus would now be extinct. To defeat my own argument, we know the virus was already spreading in America and Europe before it was in Wuhan and so the above logical step would have shown the virus did not originate in Wuhan but elsewhere. Hence the reason for the so calmed humanity repatriations mentioned. After the obfuscation of this process then people were really locked in the countries they were caught in and had an almost impossible task to get back.

And there are only 3 labs in the entire world that have done such research on coronaviruses: North Carolina, Texas and Wuhan. President Obama stopped gain of function research on coronaviruses because many scientists consider making animal viruses infectious and dangerous to humans a global existential threat due to the risk of causing a pandemic with a virus we created ourselves. There have been many lab leaks, several in China, as well as the US and UK. The 1977 pandemic was caused by a lab leak from China--long story. So acting like the function-gained coronavirus pandemic starting in the exact same city where they were conducting gain of function research on coronaviruses is just an insignificant coincidence is so ridiculous it's insulting. That's the issue when companies grow Ur vegetables and fruits. In my country agriculture is done mainly by individuals using traditional methods, and our vegetables are much more fresh than what is available in the USA and most western countries. Even the companies that do agriculture in my country stick to mainly traditional methods and now our country has even banned artificial fertiliser. In terms of meat, it's the same thing. Majority is done by small local farmers who use traditional methods, no injecting hormones and that kinda nonsense.

It’s a real shame they didn’t mention facts such as how multiple researchers from the lab were hospitalized in December of 2019 or how there are sequences in the genetic code that directly point to human hands having manipulated it. It makes me think they aren’t really out to find the truth, more so to say that the lab leak isn’t true. They could have done a more honest and just better job at presenting the evidence here.

@Criss Sukala That was an interesting development. I feel like was something everyone sort of knew but couldn’t confirm. Many folks fell ill with an “unidentified viral phenomena” in December of 2019. It seemed to be sweeping through apartment blocks and offices like wildfire. This was back before anyone had heard of COVID19.

One item the WSJ conspicuously omits is that the security of the Wuhan lab had been called into question well before the outbreak. This piece also fails to mention the restrictions China placed on the people who were allowed to inspect the Wuhan lab during the WHO investigation. One of the people China approved was a US researcher who was the head of an organization that funneled money from the NIH to help the WIV conduct this gain of function research that the Obama administration had forbidden the US to be involved in. Does anybody smell conflict of interest here on the part of that individual?

Lab leak or not, this should serve as a lesson to Americans (especially white liberals) that brushing something off as racist is not an argument. The prestigious scientific journal Lancet should also be ashamed of itself for accepting the publication of that now infamous 2020 opinion piece. I am 90% Chinese by ethnicity, and I truly do not mind people asking this question because it is an obvious one to ask. Allowing this question left unanswered will actually be more damaging to people like me.

It comes down to common sense. CCP forbidding investigators from full access as they always have each time they have something to hide. SARS COV-2, the virus that causes COVID, has a genome which is 96.1 % the same as RaTG13, the coronavirus Shi chose to use to genetically modify. Both Italy and Spain has shown evident that original Covid was wide spread in Europe before the first case discovered in China. They looks into old blood samples and found many people in Europe was infected with Covid in early 2019. Because the original Covid symptom is so similar to flu, therefore no one in Europe notice about it. The virus likely mutated in Wuhan and became the Wuhan Variant. Just like other UK variant, India variant, etc. Coronavirus mutate all the time and usually get more infectious and deadly. My 'hypothesis': China's government, with the blessing of Washington, starts exploring research regarding the origins of something like SARS. That research leads to the bat caves, and experiments in a lab. In the process of the research (I won't say what the research goals were as they could have been for medical purposes such as to guard against another SARS happening or weaponization for use in wartime), accidents occurred, exposing people to what we now know as COVID-19. China's authorities attempted to conceal the outbreak, as it might lead to questions about what had been going on. Someone put pressure on the WHO to 'thank' China for their 'transparency', when China showed the exact opposite up to that point. It is possible China could have exerted that pressure, but it could have been Washington. It coming from Washington would have made it work more efficiently. That also would have explained why there was plenty of talk about China, but no constructive effort to figure anything out. Washington didn't care to 'find out', because they already knew. So, accidental leak of a pandemic, but sourced from activity that was mired in secrecy. If there hadn't been research, there may not have been a COVID-19.

It’s a possible scenario that they were researching bat coronaviruses and it leaked to a wet market in Wuhan, China infecting people and caused a pandemic.
