im so glad i have never vaped, and i plan not to. i know that addictions can bring your confidence and overall self-esteem down, and i learned that the way to quit certain addictions is to just find a way to be happy or excited

The invention of the vape is a perfect example of unintended consequences. It was designed to help people stop smoking tobacco cigarettes, but it ended up getting another generation of people addicted to nicotine.

Kids at school actually refuse to believe the fact that I don't vape 💀 when i said I never vaped this girl kept trying to say "yes you did we all did" just because YOU did and the people who surround YOU did doesn't mean OTHERS vape, when she tried to start that nonsense again I told her "I have asthma why would I vape" because I actually have asthma, I'm not risking it all over intoxicated flavoured air 💀

A couple years ago I was on a Boy Scout sailing trip with some guys and we were chilling not far from the boat (near the showers/bathrooms) and one of them started vaping, but the thing is he was so freaking polite about it. He stood a few feet away (far enough where the clouds wouldn't bother us, but just close enough to make comfortable conversation). I think he offered me a hit and when I said no he was just like "Oh, okay" and it ended at that. Actually I asked him about it and he said the vape has like almost no nicotine in it because he's trying to gradually ease into quitting vaping altogether. Props to that guy, wherever he is. Hope he's doing better.

Back in the early 2000s, vapes weren't a thing to my knowledge. I dunno if being born in 2000 makes me a Gen Z person but i can proudly say that I came out of high school normal, focusing more on my classes instead of vaping

The worst vaping experience I've had was I was invited to a huge house party midway through high school and instead of anything interesting happening there were just clusters of people in the backyard vaping like neanderthal tribes. I left out of sheer boredom because that's all that happened.

I actually decided to stop vaping and smoking since January 1st be cause it costed me too much money, I couldn’t run as much as I used to (and so I got tired faster while playing basketball) and I always had that regret feeling when I finished a vape. For the money, it costed me like 10 bucks a week (and since I live in Switzerland, it’s very expensive), for the basketball, after only two weeks I was able to run way longer than before which I found just amazing be cause I felt like a new man. And lastly, that regret feeling usually started when I bought a vape. When I took the first hit, in EVERY vape, it made me have headaches for like a minute or so. And I was always hoping for the vape to last at least a week but since they are overproduced, they are very low quality and they usually lasted only 2 or 3 days. I’m happy to have stopped smoking and vaping be cause now I can spare money and lifetime!

I'm straight up annoyed that a friend casually started vaping in my bedroom after admitting they vaped. It took some courage later to ask them to stop and not to do that in my house (they respected that besides using my bathroom that day). I personally hate the smell and the mist with a passion. It's just overly sweet I feel sick and I don't want to breathe in the mist.

I remember one time in senior year of high school when a kid asked me to rip his vape, I took it too literally and almost broke it in half, and he freaked out once he realized what I was doing, cause I didn’t even understand that “rip” was slang for smoke. Just a funny story to share.

The reason it has taken over in schools is because vapor doesn’t leave a smell like actual smoke and doesn’t trigger fire alarms. Its more low profile so there is always someone in the bathroom with it

As a Gen Z, I am proud that I can claim that I have not vaped, not planning on vapping, nor will ever vape in my life.

I know a girl in the 6th grade, and she said in her grade there are TONS of people who vape. FIRST YEAR OF MIDDLE SCHOOL. I have no hope for our future. 😐

I don’t know how my generation went from watching cartoon network to vaping 24/7. I am myself part of the resistance camp and I think I should be proud of it.

I used to vape since I was 16, I had dab pens, disposables, mod kits, pod kits you name it. But I quit after I got extremely sick from it that lasted a week, I didn't vape for the trend I vaped because of extreme stress and it worked till I realized its all a bunch of bs and your problems won't go away magically. I'm now 18 going on 19 and I've been vape free for over a month and now my breathing is alot better and I can manage stress properly. Andrew Tate was right when he said breath air and do pushups.

This week in school, we were learning about the bad stuff about vaping and we got to make a poster about it online. However, due to the tornado destroying my school, I never got to finish it.

I went to a small charter school for high-school, and in my last year there at least 15% of the school would hang out and vape by the two bathrooms during lunch. So you had a crowd of people surrounding the bathrooms waiting for their turn in the "vape rooms". Meanwhile you had all the other students waiting in long lines to use the bathroom.Then when you finally made it into the bathroom, it smelled like a hodgepodge of all the worst vapes. It was ridiculous. Pray to God you didn't have to use the bathroom during lunch.

When I was in high school I went to use the bathroom, and there was a full on sausage fest of dudes just hitting the vape almost half of the bathroom was in smoke someone asked me if I wanted to use his vape, and I said "No thank you unlike you i actually like my lungs i don't want your cherry flavored vape" some time passes by at this point there were only three vapers left there were talking shit about me like "WhAt A pUsSy NoT wAnTiNg To hiT tHe VaPe" along other things they turned off the lights right before they left. What most of you don’t know is what actually got kids hooked on vaping was disposables. Disposable vapes have salt nicotine in them. They are extremely addictive and they give a head rush and good flavors. The whole kid vaping epidemic didn’t start until disposables came into play in late 2019 when Juuls got less popular. Before that adults were just using Mods. I’m addicted myself I use disposables. I will quit myself though. Keep up the videos bro!

My high school years saw the history of vaping... Freshman Year, my friend brings in one of those disposable e-cigs thats supposed to look like a real cig with the glowing tip... I assume to quit smoking, bc things were diff in 2013... we all gathered around bc we've never seen one of these before... I thought I was making history taking a hit from a real e-cig like this is the future for people quitting cigs... but no... It took a full 180 2 years later when it became known as vaping and an alternative to smoking... We didn't have Juuls, people just ripped fat clouds from mods or buzzed off 55mg of nicotine... A lot of kids vaped, and Im sure things got worse after I graduated when Juuls were introduced bc people werent THIS addicted. People didnt beg for a hit...

My father always says: smoking/vaping is like shoveling money into the fire, while slowly killing you without you noticing it, and i totally agree. It's expensive af, and it kills you, and it's actually bad for the environment too, yet a lot of my friends do it and it's just sickening me, and I feel so disappointed...

Thing that bugs me about rampant vaping is, I’m allergic to nicotine as far as I’m aware. Like, sure I haven’t had it clinically diagnosed, but for me, nicotine exposure is to allergic reactions like air is to breathing. I could not stand being in a smoke or vape cloud. I could only stand being in the clouds that didn’t have nicotine. I was able to stand the 0 nicotine stuff for poseurs and stealth stoners (I used it as a mechanism to administer CBD for a short time) but as soon as I was exposed to nicotine, it was no bueno.

I’m 1 month clean of quitting vaping officially. I am guilty of having hit my friends vape twice at different points this month but I’m really tryna stop for good and stop giving in. People told me it takes 21 days to break a habit but I still crave it in every way, vaping was the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent

About half of my family (my moms side) lives in rural areas. When my uncle died last year, my family and I (who lives in a more suburban area) went to his wake at my grandmas house, and a small family group from the city legit came, and while we were toasting my uncle, I saw this group standing by the bushes vaping. My mom and I were appalled, especially I’ve never seen these people before.

One time my sister was vaping and told me to get a hit. I took a hit and it felt real good ngl and i was starting to get addicted to it. Glad i then stopped myself from vaping. Still thankful for that. I also then made my sister quit vaping.

I quit vaping 3 years ago to the day and can say it’s possible. The withdrawals usually last 3 weeks but past that point anyone can make it

I tried vaping once. My step brother gave me his on our way home from school, and I didn’t like it. It sucked. No buzz, and I coughed like hell. It wasn’t fun. Still never understood how people got into it. From what I’ve heard, the buzz isn’t even worth it either.

It's just smoking with some minor differences... It tastes and smells good but shit's on your lungs like ciggarettes so if you vape, you're just an ordinary smoker. It's the same shit with a different package...

I remember trying vaping back when it first came to school and teachers didn’t know what to think of it. You could only get them if you knew someone who knew where to find them, but in 2015 that number wasn’t many. I vaped to try and make “O’s” but eventually stopped, there want any nicotine in them at that time, so it wasn’t an issue

Already quit but cravings never fully went away. Been over a year and still facing restlessness, inability to focus, a never ending need to stretch, etc. That need to stretch is how cravings are for me. Addiction effects people differently sometimes

In the country where i live was a period (and it kinda continues right now) when parents generously allowed their kids to vape and were buying vape to their children. Crazy

At one point I was offered a vape and my dumbahh started doing it. After a few days I realised what I'm doing to myself and somehow I was able to literally just stop right then and there. Never had the urge to do it again

The main reason everyone vapes is because its so fucking easy to get away with. They recharge with outlets, they are super concealable, and the vapor disappears really quick. I remember every fucking kid taking a hit the second the teacher turns around, and blasting it into the ceiling, and by the time the teacher turns its already gone.

There would be vaping in my school aswell but lets say i go to an event i would see groups of people/friends with vape sticks and vape bottles EVERYWHERE and the air smelled like ass and i swear most of them looked like 15 or 16 year olds

In my school it was pretty rare. Sure, some of my classmates did vaping. Yet it wasn't that noticeable. Now I'm in college. I maybe exaggerate things, but it feels like 90% of other students are vaping like crazy at any time possible. At lectures, bathrooms, outside, everywhere there's a guy who is vaping. In my group there's only few guys that doesn't vape. Everyone else are totally addicted to it.

The moment school ends for me, it’s like an entire cloud of vape emerges from the school buses. One I was coughing so much because my lungs hurt from inhaling someone else’s vape (Not voluntarily). That person vaped in their house, in their car, everywhere. Not a second could be spent without it for them.

I like cigars. Not vape. My dad let me take a puff of smoke from his cigar and I like it. It was from a traditional cigar store. I didn’t suck it into my throat. I took 1 puff, took the cigar out of my mouth then blew out the smoke. I’ve also tried my dad’s cigarettes. They’re easier to smoke than cigars. But it’s more dangerous. Cigars are safer. Because they take 5x slower than smoking cigarettes. I was about late 17’s, early 18’s at the time. I turned 18 on December 9th. I will never and I mean NEVER IN MY LIFE will I ever dare vape. I smoked for short periods of time. I also like actual food and not vape. Vape looks like a baby can do that! They can’t and won’t. Smoking a cigar or cigarette is in my opinion, it looks elegant. If you think about it, it does look elegant compared to vaping. Long story short, instead of vaping, smoke a cigar? Unless you want to look like you want pretty lips, smoke cigars instead. Sure it’s thicker than a vape pen, but that’s the point. So you can’t smoke it so quickly. And you can’t smoke cigars in school. I’m thankful for not going to a high school with all the students vape. Only 1 boy vapes in my year. And I never see him, so I’d say that I’m lucky.

I fell into the trap about 3 years ago in school my friend passed me it and then it started but I can’t blame him for the addiction because I could’ve stopped ages ago but I still haven’t I have been gradually been trying to lower my intake everyday it just getting past the 2 week mark without it is pretty hard

Vaping fucked me up for a good year because I was Vaping cannabis (legally. I live in Michigan) for fibromyalgia pain but it quickly snowballed into me self medicating for mental pain. The only good thing that came from my addiction was that it contributed to my psychotic break that led to me being diagnosed Bipolar 1. Ever since, I stopped smoking and drinking altogether because I don't want to risk adverse side effects with my meds. My lungs are better, my mind is better, I have way more cash on me than I used to, and I'm better off without Vaping. If you Vape, do your best to quit while you still can. It's hard as hell to break the addiction but once you do, you'll be much better off.

Millennial here and so many of us are also addicted to vaping. I’m now on my third attempt at quitting. It’s so difficult for real. Being bored in lockdown and starting to vape, has now left me trying to quit this addiction three years later. Don’t start kids. I don’t even know how under 18s are even getting these vapes but just don’t do it.

My mother's addicted and treats it like the exhale is safe and okay to be around, and I shouldn't freak out about it because it "smells and tastes good." Even being a grown legal adult now, living rurally and in a very far-sided end of the political extreme household has left me with nowhere to really find work I'd be interested in, let alone able to get to on foot. I've gotta confess that I hate everything in my family and society so much that I just go online and troll people or fight for my opinions by tooth and nail. I've lost track of what is and isn't my opinion anymore and I've just fallen into pissing people off for the sake of it. I've nowhere to go and I don't fit in with the majority of my generation's vaping, right/left ideal obsessed generation or the people who came before. I'm an introvert who annoys people online to the point of conflict and don't know how to better myself anymore in a world where religion and society oppose each other in every way and both restrict my life.

As a full grown, 32 year old, adult with many friends around the same age as me I gotta say, they vape more than their kids.

Some schools, like my high schools, cracked down on vaping. I don't know if they're still doing it.

The man who invented the modern vape did so because his dad died of lung cancer and he wanted to quit so he didn't end the same way. I am in the oldest part of Gen Z, so I unfortunately started my nicotine addiction with cigarettes. I have swapped completely over to vaping and have been lowering the nicotine level in it overtime to help me quit, as vapes were originally intended.

Idk if i have some superpowers or anything but i cant become addicted to anythimg i've tried so far. I've bought myself a vape and ripped that shit for 2 weeks straight, almost collapsing because i didnt breathe enough. And then, it was empty. And you know what i did? I set the vape on my desk and havent touched it since. No withdrawel symptons, no nicotine craving, nothing. Same with alcohol, i was a heavy drinker but just.. stopped one day. Now i got like 5 bottles of hard liquor in my room, not knowing what to do with it. Anyways, dont vape kids. Not everyone can resist as easily as me

I’m so glad I graduated 11 years ago, back when vaping was more of something grownups did to quit cigs. Ngl I do have my CBD/THC vapes, but that’s only because I live in an illegal state. It’s the only thing that helps with pain and insomnia. I know the metals suck.😅
