Exactly..great point!!! He isn't ok with autographs but ok with Howard having to write a forward to his book which Howard can care nothing about whatsoever...and only person it benefits is Greg and his lackluster book sales bc Howard wrote in it!!! Way more of inconvenience to ask Howard to write a forward plus Howard probably felt obligated bc Greg comes on show...Howard doesn't seem like he would be a friend of Greg or speak with him off the air so Greg shouldn't ask him for any favors....total hypocrite!!!

Think about it, he went from what was likely a closeted gay man to becoming his mother over the time they he was in therapy. On the autograph thing: personally I think it’s a small price for fame and tons of money, so why not do it. Maybe not every time but certainly most of the time. Not rich and famous, so I don’t know how hard those fucks have it eh lol. I was with my aunt and cousins summer of ‘01 and we ran in to Christopher Lloyd like at 2 or 3 different spots, but they were all casual places (shops and stores). We told her to not ask (me personally did not want to see him be rude to my aunt, big fan of his movies and I didn’t want to watch Back to the Future and every time think “what a dick” lol) but he was cool as shit. Even took a couple pictures and seemed very personable. And come on it’s The Doc for crying out loud! Very nice guy, made my aunts day!

I was in L.A. about 10 yrs ago and went out to a restaurant….after eating I see paparazzi harassing someone and it was my rock HERO Tom Petty…he looked PISSED…I could hear him telling one of the dudes, “dude, I know who you are and what you do….I’m not signing your shit so you can eBay it”….I was crushed because I thought I wouldn’t be able to meet him….he was with his daughter and wife and they broke away from the mob and I quietly said, “Mr.Petty I play guitar because of you and Mr.Campbell…God Bless you”…..he stopped, said something to his wife, then walked towards me….I was FREAKING OUT internally…I shook his hand and he started to go off on his words, “what C*NTS the paparazzi are”….he talked to me about guilt for about 5 minutes, I ran over to my truck and pulled out like 10 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers CD’s and he signed them all…..the dude was SO cool…a real man and the best Rock n roll has ever had imo

Do you have the one where a drunk stepfather calls in who is really attracted to his 16-yr old stepdaughter, and is worried he's going to act on it while the mother is out of town, and Howard speaks to the girl when she gets out of the shower and tries to persuade her to leave the house and go to her grandmothers or bfs...it's amazingly compelling radio, and I only found it on here once, and it's not findable atm...
