Supposedly, in an interview with Howard after the performance he told Howard that he basically learned the guitar solo while getting ready backstage. I think he had flown in on a red eye.

i saw an interview with Adam where he said he's friends with a friend of Prince's and he (friend) told Adam that when Prince saw this, Prince said, "he's learning" 😂

That "other guy" as some people commented is Pat Monahan,the lead singer of Train,and Adam is performing with Train and its backup singers in this video. I went to their concert. Great band!

Some of the songs on Songs About James had some decent guitar/singing combo. Through with you, Harder to breathe, not coming home. He's definitely underrated in terms of playing and singing at the same time
