Foconi- Heo was like watching both fencers give each other lessons at full speed - such beautiful, technical fencing!

Man, this World Championships I have to say was one of the best ones yet. Only downside was the crappy livestream being a 1/2 hour behind. Other than that there were HUGE upsets left and right. Kruse was my pick though to win this year. I am disappointed he wasn't able to seal the deal in the final match but hats off to Foconi he deserved it. Kruse is still making history again (and as a bonus, Davis was back in form for the first time in a year since Rio, securing a top 8 finish which only Laurence Halstead did back in 2015). Llavador was a big surprise, very much the dark horse of the competition, the Spaniard taking out many big names on his way to the semis. Overall this was a great comp and I only wish I had access to full replays of all the matches like last year in Leipzig.
