Just because of this video I was able to get the highest grade in our class on a WW2 test. School for some reason has a problem of showing history with humor, passion and good introduction. Thank you oversimplified for such great videos

It could depend on the teacher as well, i had an awesome history teacher when I was a junior in high school, I passed my history class because of my history teacher methods

I think the way history is taught can be confusing in general; we break it up by eras and talk about in these chopped up blocks, but not enough is really done to also help us understand that these individual blocks are more like dominos when strung altogether. Even though these videos are also about specific eras or events, Over takes time to help us visualize the sequence of events leading up to the Big Event being covered. I think history education needs more visuals. Personally, I love a good timeline, really helps my brain understand the amount of time passing, etc.

My grandpa lived near the coast so his family didnt really give a shit bout the politics. His dad delivered meat to the nazi army for that bag. Grandpa stole 2 horses from the russians. The communism came and he hated it since all he wanted was to to get dat bag so he went on a vacation, never came back, bought a sausage factory and an island and now he just chillin and bein sexist, homophobic and grumpy that he wasnt held enough as a child👍.

The new videos are great but nothing beats this middle age. Very clean and simple, no-nonsense presentations of ideas with comedy interlacing ideas together without drawing too much attention to itself. The narrator doesn't try too hard to "play a character" and focuses on simple historical storytelling.

4:20 they werent “anti-socialist” they were anti-communist. Hitler in particular, he was socialist, hence his party of “national socialism”. They opposed “international socialism” ie communism. Even the video said mussolini was a lifelong socialist who tweaked it into fascism, very similar. Both on the left.

There is still much more history to learn about WW2. This video did not cover the Treaty of Versailles, and how the Republic was formed, or the Finnish-Russian war, not even the colonial effect of WW2. There is still much more that this video didn’t cover, it is quite informative but does not cover all of WW2’s history.
