Will the Allies stay Allies?
When World War II ended, the Allies-USA, UK, France, the USSR, and friends-settled in for a little victory party. When they did so, they agreed to split Germany into separate zones of occupation. Berlin, too, was split, even though it was technically in the Soviet zone.
Various agreements dictated how each country should and shouldn’t operate their zones, but… Of course, as the Cold War kicked in, and the Western allies were inclined to work together, things quickly began to deteriorate.
When USA, UK, and France decided to operate a unified currency in their zones, the Soviets took offense, and things went downhill from there…

Some mistakes I noticed: -South Africa, China and Canada are depicted with their modern flags which weren’t used at the time -the Republic of China popped out of the Peoples’ Republic of China even though it was founded in 1912 and was largely recognized as the main China at the time -the USSR is portrayed to have nukes in 1945 -the Federal Republic of Germany and the Koreas already exist

@@oxy2986 I know but this video is about the “WW2 Victory Party” in 1945 or rather the Allied occupation of Germany. It ended in May 1949 with the formation of West Germany. The USSR didn’t become a nuclear power until August 1949, the Nationalists fled to Taiwan in December 1949 and the Korean war began in June 1950. All these significant Cold War events happened after the Allied occupation of Germany (or WW2 victory party) which was the topic of this video, so it’s historically incorrect. This may just be a Countryballs animation to teach children history but it’s also important not to accidentally spread false information like claiming that the USSR was a nuclear power in 1945.

Technically it should have been the People’s Republic of China seceding from the Republic of China because the ROC existed before the PRC and the Chinese Civil War began with the Communist insurrection that led to the creation of the Jiangxi Soviet, then Chiang’s crackdowns, Long March etc

War started when Kim got permission from from Stalin and consulted Mao to go invade South Korea. US didn't start it. You can only argue escalation when it crossed into North Korean territory after the counteroffensive to reclaim South Korea (NK was initially winning)

The one with North Korea isn't all that accurate. America had troops in south Korea, but it was in insignificant numbers compared to the civil war that started raging. Later on in the war America threw a decent amount of soldiers at the problem Everything else seems like a fairly accurate analogy tho.

Making things funny is one thing, but smuggling a bit of history would be nice instead of opting beer. Or make Polandball not invited to the British organized party to not piss off the USSR.
