Hulk Hogan had long played the superhero in the WWF's never-ending comic book. Like the caped crusaders of ink and film, Hogan had a penchant for saving the day - protecting the collective from whatever evil may spring up. But after a few months away, the Hulkster was back to tackle the latest nuisance to WWE: Sagging business, which lay at the feet of the man playing the hero in his absence.

Be brilliant if you could expand on the history of the WWWF/WWF/WWE from the mid 90’s New Generation to the Attitude era to the Ruthless aggression era all the way to the end of Vince Mc Mahon’s era and the merger of the WWE with Endevour to end the whole story. That would bring it all up to date. You’ve done an amazing job so far so why not finish what you’ve started?

Totally agree with you to see a video about the New Generation time when the business went into one of it’s worse recessions with crowd numbers and PPV buys went down but also WWE had fallen behind with the times and wasn’t showing a 90’s product for it’s 90’s audience. The 90’s was a great edgy time where bad guys or antiheroes were what people wanted and they finally produced the Attitude Era which was perfect for the time (90’s was the best decade ever unlike the 2010’s onwards where the world has become a shit place, if we had today’s technology in the 90’s then it would’ve been perfect).

I “grew out “ of wrestling as the Gokden age ended, but my god what I would do to go back to those amazing days of my childhood watching SNME and spending my Saturday morning s with Superstars and Chalkenge. I was in grade school when Survivor Series 91 happened. The Hogan/Undertaker match was a big deal. WWF was evidently in a slump, but amongst us kids that was not the case at all. The addition of Flair really made things interesting and for a brief moment, the Top Card was very full with real, credible guys who could be champion. The 1992 Royal Rumble was epic to watch live. The upper-Mid Card was also super deep. The Perfect-Hart IC Title reign was the defining era for title and made some of the smaller guys ready for the New Generation top-card. But then, all of a sudden, by SS 1992 things had drastically changed. The WWF had hemorrhaged top-level talent It was even obvious to 10 year-olds. Wrestlemania IX was such a bomb that a few of my friends stopped watching WWF altogether.

I’ve watched everyone on this channel since the WC days and I am genuinely happy and proud of each one of those guys’ growth and love for pro wrestling. From Jack literally becoming the MVP (in my opinion) of this channel to Adam P. being one of the most endearing figures on this platform, to the emotional connection we feel to Ross, to the pure energy and presence and love provided by Andrew and Tom, to the the rising star of Nathan, to the workhorse of this channel in Sam! This series has made me appreciate a time in wrestling that I grew up on and made me a bigger fan of this channel. Thank you guys for the amazing content that you guys put your all into, because we as fans see all the love you put in to this. This is a great video/series! The Srgt. Slaughter thing is a classic example of McMahon's shortcomings as a business leader. Being a stubborn my-way-or-the-highway person doesn't leave room for the expert voices around you to have a say. Being able to manage a group of people and get them to have productive disagreements is a real skill; and it's critical to be able to benefit from a larger pool of insight in almost any large organization. I've never heard a story about McMahon that's demonstrated this skill.

*For someone who wasn't born until the late 90s, I needed this type of content, hopefully you'll keep uploading until the new generation!*

This is like a mix of your timeline series with Jon Bois' work. I love this project.

This is hands down the greatest series. I loved the tease of doing the new generation at the end w the turned WWF logo! Praying for a 5th installment!

Okay, I love the tease of the New WWF Generation at the tail end. Simple, but great. My time as a wrestling (WWF) fan was its biggest throughout the 90s, and there's so much meat on the bone for telling the story of the WWF in this format during this time. Like I said in a previous comment on a previous installment, I'm not typically a fan of Cultaholic, but this has been a great series. I hope you guys are seeing a corresponding increase in viewership with these.

This series was the most excellent one I’ve ever seen. And that’s even on vice and by WWE themselves. Please continue this by going forward to the new gen and attitude. I’m literally craving more

I've been enjoying this series. I remember when Slaughter did his anti-America schtick. In his book, "My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling," Bret Hart mentioned that Slaughter "had received death threats, and there were bomb scares at the buildings he worked in." I agreed that using this storyline was too close to home. Thanks for this Golden Age series!

So I just finished my 3rd viewing of "The Golden Era-Part 4". At this point, I'm well aware that I've become a broken record (in human form) but this has been a real treat. I hope that it never ends. 😢. My personal favorite time/year(s) throughout the history of the WWF would easily have to be 1996 - 1998. It would be a dream come true if your retrospective would continue on thru up to y2k. Ya know just throwing it out there (wink wink, nunge nunge). All jokes aside, a tip of the hat, a pat on the back and a standing ovation are in order. Stellar work once again.
