WWE's Saudi Shows USED to be RIDICULOUS!

Күн бұрынWWE has been holding special events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, and these days the shows are pretty standard affairs. Nothing to out of the ordinary from regular WWE, just maybe a Logan Paul title match. However, that wasn't always the case. When these shows first began, these Saudi shows were unlike any WWE PPVs we had ever seen before. These were basically treated as the worlds most expensive house shows, tailored made for the Saudi's. You combine that with how bad the WWE was at the time, and the results were horrendous. From 50 man Royal Rumbles, to legends returning and tarnishing their legacies, to just idiotic booking. We got it all, and what better time to revisit them.. then now!

Crown jewel was the day of my dads funeral, literally terrible day for me, but it was glimmer of light that my favorite team DX was wrestling my brothers favorite tag team Kane and undertaker. I would rather re attend the funeral then watch that match again lmaoooooo

Also how miz vs ziggler became finals over Guy like kurt, randy, jeff, seth who were top guys. Miz vs Dolph was just used so shane gets the trophy. That's like you had current king of the ring tournament and you got ricochet from raw side and Corbin was SmackDown side in final and in the end Goldberg comes and wins it

The first years of Saudi were truly some of the world’s worst PPVs of ALL TIME. Years of botches, disasters, cringe, current day talents being buried, it was all awful stuff. DX Vs Brothers of Destruction, Undertaker Vs Goldberg, Goldberg Vs The Fiend, etc. I’m glad these years are passed us now, and that Saudi shows for the most part are now ok to awesome. Here’s hoping KOTR can be just as good.🙏

I will never forgive that 2019 show for basically killing the Kofi Kingston title run for a UFC rematch that time forgot. I don’t care what your thoughts are for that Kofi title run, it deserved a better ending than less than 10 second squash and immediately after, have a match with an injured signee with minimal training just to lose to Brock.

Literally from 2017-2021WWE was 2000 WCW bad. The reason why AEW was as white hot as it was during 2019-2022 was because the WWE product was absolute dog shit. Vince being forced to step down was a blessing in disguise. Thank god for HHH. Undoing and restarting the product wasn't an easy task. Hunter should have been the head booker 5 years ago.

To answer the question at the end of the video: I stopped watching WWE (excluding NXT) in 2018 bc the creative direction and no bright futures in the company, and then The Fiend brought me back. When the Firefly Funhouse debuted he made me start watching again. So then they have Oldberg beat The Fiend in 2 minutes. Absolutely wild

Saudi shows have come a long way. The 2023 night of champions is one my favorite shows . They went from a propaganda show to just a ppv in Saudi Arabia. That Goldberg taker match almost made me quit wrestling.

As far as I know from people working with the GEA that Vince was the big reason behind these RIDICULOUSNESS that was on the Saudi Shows he tried to impress HE Turki Al Alshaik and the Crown Prince by making crazy matches and sacrificing the quality of the matches and shows to get paid extra the moment Vince Left and HHH took control which is what was the GEA and Turki wanted from the beginning everything became better

I was in wwe smackdown in Jeddah yesterday! It was genuinely was different than the greatest royal rumble and supershowdown (which I both attended). These two events had whatever matches but it was still hype seeing my childhood heroes! But smackdown had an amazing crowd! Half the stadium singing voices and kingdom was genuinely one of the best experiences of my life. Half the crowd was sorta dead but I feel like if they were all chanting then it would have been better than the backlash crowd! (seeing Goldberg and undertaker kill each other was genuinely depressing)

I'm also a John Cena Fan as well to the point where I was debating with My Grandpa in 2012 that Dr Chain Gang Hustle Loyalty Respect was going to beat The Rock at Wrestlemania 28 in Miami while He kept telling me Rocky was going to win the Once In A LifeTime match. Cena''s Album released a year after Encore too. As for the Intro of Encore...... I can't believe we got another match between Taker & Shawn, Taker & Shawn, Taker & Shawn, Taker & Shawn, Taker & Shawn, Taker & Shawn . The Spongebob Movie also released around the same week in November 2004 and seeing Shawn Micheals Baaaald in 2018 was a shock. The Beat for Evil Deeds is on my Ten Eminem Instrumentals list. It just gets You hype. Plus it was the perfect intro for the album since Encore is the repeated or additional performance of a show at the end of a concert by the Performer that the audience wants and Shady was just getting a lot of worldwide support and critical acclaim from the incredible success from The Eminem Show at the time. The Curtains on both albums just made even more cooler and poetic.
