We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with a party at Longview Farm, WWOOF hosts in Shropshire, where Sue Coppard was always centre stage.
In this video Sue treats us to stories of how WWOOFing became a thing and how it's gone from strength to strength, crossing continents and as relevant today as it was on that October weekend in Sussex back in 1971.
At the age of 84 Sue is clearly a force of nature and brims over with passion and humour as she takes questions from some of those gathered in front of her in the Autumnal garden surroundings.
We were blessed with having Sue's company that day, having travelled a long way to be there. The shared meals and music around the fire, of which Sue was a big part, playing folk tunes on her accordion, was perfectly 'WWOOFy' and befitting for such a special occasion.
