Hi Lozzahips, the best way to find a Shropshire group would be to join WWOOF UK and get in touch with one of the hosts there. We know there is an informal network of hosts who are friends and WWOOFers often stay at one farm and move on to another. Good luck and enjoy! wwoof.org.uk

Hi Sacha, Thank you for your interest in WWOOFing. To answer your first question, WWOOFing is volunteering. You could regard it as an energy exchange i.e. helping organic farmers and food growers in exchange for learning through hands-on experiences plus food and accommodation. So you are not volunteering for WWOOF UK, we are a membership organisation facilitating these volunteering opportunities. The minimum age for UK members is 16 years of age. If you are younger than this you'd need to be accompanied by a member of WWOOF UK to go WWOOFing. Here's a link to our website where everything is explained and more. Enjoy 🌻

All you need is enthusiasm and the spirit of adventure. Go for it! If you're lucky there might be a host farm or smallholding near to you, so you could pop over just for the day to 'dip your toe into the water' 🌻
