A quick-thinking seventh grader seen in a viral video jumping into action when a bus driver had a medical emergency is being honored for his bravery.

He was in the right place at the right time doing the right thing with a very cool head!! The news needs to focus more on these kinds of stories so that more children are recognized for their outstanding achievements that affect others in an awesome way. Congratulations young man, you are on track to do many more wonderful things!!

how does a 7th grader know how to drive a bus? That's not something most people know. Peddles, gears.

@@aninditaaaaa Sure that might help (as would playing driver games on a console etc). But a bus is very different, controls are not like a car. This kid seemed to know what pedals/sticks do what, impressive. Maybe someone taught him to drive a bus.

You must have been the dumb one because 7th graders are more experienced in life and have knowledge and wisdom. Many worked on farms and drive tractors or other machinery. I tire of the narrative that puts people down or calls people stupid-even subtle and roundabout ways. At 12 and 13 I was running a household to help my mom. I just didn’t get paid!🤔🤨🤔

Smart kid but stop it…he applied the brakes. The brakes stopped the bus. His dad says he’s been driving for years.

He saved 65 lives in that buss, including the driver and himself. There's alot that could go wrong, the driver might gas the pedal while she is still unconscious. He did the right thing in a calm collected manner, even calls authorities for help, that even Police officers do if they are in a pinch.
