We replaced the stock lens in our Wyze Cam V3 with a telephoto zoom lens. This has made recording license plate numbers far easier and reliable, and provided superior optical zoom picture. This wyze lens replacement video will show you just how we did it... it wasn't difficult per se, but some of the process is a little bit tedious.

Very informative and well made video. If anybody has alternative brands and models for the replacement lens, please let me know. I'm most concerned by the threading issues related to this one.

Great video, thank you. Novice Grandmother here. Do you know if the dismantling of the v3 would mirror dismantling of the OG? Used indoors and i would prefer to sacrifice it over a v3. Thank you.

Has anyone done this on the PAN V3? I'd so love to see them come out with a zoomable version with say a wide to 20X to 30xrange

12:14 I took rough measurements from the video and estimate that it's approximately 8X zoom. Can someone confirm this with an actual camera?
