​@@HendrikOsula please can you explain how the system selects (and stays with) the desired eye when you use wide area tracking? I'm not aware that there's a way to select this and then reframe? Otherwise isn't the eye AF just randomly switching to other eyes in the frame as well? Thank you.

Given the XH cams are hybrids. I think they should start a cinema line for the video focused tools. Fujifilm XC1 or something. A camera with an XH body but cinema tools. False color, waveforms, the xh2s readout speed throughout all framerates and resolutions, and so on.

I personally shoot mostly using 3x3 zone or 1 point still. But after 3.00 the xh2s face detection is also working very well. I have no issues with it. What are you shooting mostly and which scenarios do you see yourself using the subject detection?

It's the battery grip with wireless transmitter function yes on one of my bodies.

@@HendrikOsula how do you use the wireless transmitter? Does it go to capture one when you doing sports?

@@errole , well you could do it also this way with Sessions probably. But I usually just have an FTP server where is send jpegs straight from camera if client needs that.

I have an XH2S and indeed I think it is still going to struggle with sport genre. The stickyness is still not there and I don't really understand why this cannot be resolved easily. All that needs to happen is when engaging the AF (BBF or Half shutter press) the system stops scanning for other faces, let go of the focus (white box) and by all means scan away again. It doesn't even look like at times that the person you have locked onto needs to be partially blocked or obscured for it to start hunting for other faces, it looks to be doing it anyway and really a small change in coding should stop this from happening. I can forgive more when the subject you are tracking is obscured for a period of time, turned away or whatever, but in 2023 its a little unforgiveable to not stick as much as it should on the player you have selected. There is a new button you can bins to change which eye is in focus, that has been really useful for portrait work, it would be nice to see such a configurable button for face detection when multiple people are in the frame. Things can definitely improve here. Having said all that, coming from an XT4 this is a far better AF experience, but we won't see serious sport shooters come over to Fuji as things currently stand. Hopefully within the next couple of generations they will get on top of it.

@@SummersSnaps i shoot fuji and i cant see any of my friends who are sports / press coming over to fuji no matter how good theAF is, the lens are just not there for them like they are on sony, nikon and coming on canon RF

@@karlbratby4349 Yep, we need way more action lenses if this is a genre Fuji are keen to get into, but they have a lot of work ahead of them both in AF and hardware to catch up to.

It's shot on multiple cameras, one of them is GFX100S. Not on X-H2s tho.

the zooming behavior, the color roll off seems cinematically soft like bigger cinema camera, etc idk ...as a fuji user, I know that xh2s achieve the cinematic look with some post technique but i feels like its less likely that the editor would apply this subtle effect throughout the film... i just feels like most of the vid was shot using sony cinema cam atleast a7s3 +... Since we are watching a xh2s video, I wanting to see the video images/performance in this documentary scenario, not only photo quality... ahahha i could be wrong. anyhow, im rooting for fuji nevertheless.
