This goes to show you why gambit and wolverine train together and it's the hardest setting possible which is passcode protected. (S1 epi. 1) magneto said last epi if jubilee had trained her power she'd live to see more bdays 😭. Before that magneto and rogue were in the danger room probably training their powers (among other things) and this episode showed powers only get you so far. These were civilians only people who trained for combat were rogue, magneto and gambit. Maybe handful of others. With that in mind, gambit had both, the training and the power set, so he was thee only one who could've pulled it off. And he wasnt suppose to be on the trip. If he hadnt come there would be no survivors.

Scott had a whole Psychic affair with Emma Frost (the blonde who we see on Genosha wearing all white and talking mess). Everyone is learning the X-men and Marvel comics way the hard way and that's the best way! If Uatu shows up, some horrible stuff is about to happen. And if Cable shows up, it only further confirms something is about to happen. I don't believe Magneto died because the little green kid Leech, can turn off someone's mutant power so he probably just masked Magneto's powers. That sentinel is straight from the comics where Genosha was home to 6 million mutants that were massacred in a similar fashion in the comics. I think Cable instinctively reached out to “mom” when he got there and the psychic cry went to Jean and Madelyn. Cable did say “He” is here, right? So it's not Cassandra Nova. That leaves a lot of possibilities. Apocalypse, Sinister, Nimrod, Arcade, Ultron, the sentient dangeroom, Trask, Gyrick, and Fitzroy, are the first characters that come to mind. Best guess… Nimrod, Bastion or sinister. Apocalypse wouldn't be so weak as to send a sentinel to raze Genosha if he deemed it needed to go. He would simply pull up with the pyramid and the horsemen and wreck shop.

Not many did you see Uatu the Watcher up in the sky before you get to see the gala that happens there, does this mean that this is a fixed point in time that cannot be changed? Seeing Cabel's eyes realizing that the woman in front of him is his mother was powerful for me and I can't believe they used the Wild Sentinels from the story arc from E for Extinction, this really brought tears to my eyes.

This episode was CRAZY, the comic run this comes from is 10/10 imo. It makes you really feel the weight of each characters decisions, and the pain of loss and sacrifice hits so hard due to all they been through up to this point. Erik and Scott were technically right in the end, the humans they graciously spared and risk their lives for would be the same people that plan to see them dead. But if Erik was to act first he would be seen as wrong because he would be proving his critics right by being the "monster" they envision him as. Damned if you do, damned if you dont. All he wanted was peace for his people and the world hated him for it even after surviving the holocaust smh. Im glad Scott is finally understanding what Erik was saying the whole time, and i hope he moves accordingly to get justice for all his fallen brothers and sisters. I still cant believe we lost Magneto and Gambit in 1 episode smh

The writer of this season and next season is Beau DeMayo. He's the Black guy that got fired right before the show premiered.

Gambit was an Omega level mutant when he was a boy but couldn’t control his power hence he asked the famous geneticist Nathaniel Essex/Mr. Sinister to nerfed him to just the Alpha level that we all know now. In his omega level he was like Dr. Manhattan. He can control all kinetic energy in molecular level, travel through space, heals, control gravity, nuclear energy blast etc. he was known as New Sun.

The line "The name's Gambit....remember it" has been stuck in my head since 1992 when I was 8. So to see that line, used in that situation was bittersweet. I was in disbelief with what was happening.

As seen below, This is a part of the Arc E is for Extinction which was great in the comics. This Arc also sparked the second mutation of mutants where some started to get extra powers, like Emma Frost who got her powers to turn her body into diamond.

To add on to the soap opera shenanigans, this event (Genosha Massacre) is a key moment for Scott abandoning the professor’s ideology and leaning more towards Magneto’s viewpoints

THE WRITER FOR THIS SHOW WAS FIRED, HE A REAL ONE TOO

Yeah the writer/show runner Beau DeMayo who was fired said that this was a "Warm up" on twitter so we're in for it. He also mentioned that this episode was the center of his pitch back in November 2020. As for seasons two and three, we don't know how much was written prior to Beau being fired since Disney renewed it prior to him being fired so the rest of the writing team may have a rough outline to work with.
