I'm just gonna say this. I for real thought Magneto was gonna pull an Ultimatum and flip the Earth's magnetic poles like he did in the Ultimate Universe. I'm thankful he didn't kill everyone like he did then. Also so many awesome cameos. I hope The Avengers help out the X-Men at some point

People forget that Magneto wanted to crush humanity under his thumb. He wanted to enslave humanity. He thought humans were inferior. What you’re describing, empathy, compassion, etc. is more in line with Charles.

X-Men fans have never been spoiled this much outside of comics in history! Whether it’s the deadly tag team of Nightcrawler and Wolverine, the Summers Family fighting a horde of Prime Sentinels, Bastion’s on screen debut as one of the the biggest and most formidable villains in Marvel history, Magneto proving again why he’s one of the most OP characters in comics history, and Charles Xavier ending the episode with “To me my X-men”. *AND THIS IS JUST PART ONE!?!?!?!*

Guys, the significance of Spider-Man is that when a globally catastrophic event takes place like that, he doesn’t just notice the lights go out but his spider-sense goes bonkers. He felt a shock of “danger” that hit like a freight train hitting him.

Doctor Doom would have enormous issues with what Bastion is doing. He and Magneto share a solidarity together - Magneto was a victim of the holocaust on Jews, and Dr Doom likewise with Romani Gypsies. As for Spider-Man, the EMP would have also fried his web-shooters. Meaning he can’t web-sling for the moment. Thankfully, he’s intelligent enough to build new ones.

This episode was incredible! That was only Part-1 of 3?!?!? I can't honestly contain my excitement for the next two episodes over the next two weeks! The team-ups, the action, the music, the dialogue, the animation, the Easter Eggs, the cameos, and the respect for the comic book source material and original 90s animated series that inspired it all was absolutely perfect! I'm honestly ready to say that this is my favorite project Marvel/MCU has ever done 10/10 episode! I can't wait for next week!

The teleporting or time travel sequence with Wolverine being inside with Nightcrawler, the color spectrums looked so good. The mansion burning down straight out of the comic panel. The Nightcrawler and Wolverine battle against the prime Sentinels OMG with that Parabellum sequence is beautiful.

Precisely. I appreciate Hickman's "top-of-the-type" way of defining Omega class, but once someone hits global effects level, they're omega in my book (completely appreciating that in either sense, Magneto qualifies).

Bastion succeeded in making humanity and mutants think tolerance is a lie and one side has to completely eradicate and enslave the other for them to survive. The biggest irony of all this is that Magneto following Xavier’s example was _working._ Mutant/Human relationship were beginning to flourish. And it wasn’t the humans that sabotaged that progress, it was _machines._ The humans are largely innocent in this. It wasn’t their fault. There are three parties in this race: Mutants, Humans and Machines.

Yeah, the point is accurate only up until we accept that to pull things off on this scale there were several humans in cahoots with the roll out of OZT, and several "disenfranchised" humans signing up to be affiliated with what Bastion was selling (granted, unaware of how he'd use them).

How are humans largely innocent. It was literally humans that created sentinels, It is FOH that continued to stoke the fear. That cabal meeting with Bastion, Doom, Baron Zemo, and the mysterious female figure, I am betting is Madam Hydra, are all human. Magneto was justified in setting off that pulse.

How badass was it seeing wolverine cut through people while falling through the air. Literally using that method to help break his fall. And then being able to see what it’s like to teleport from nightcrawlers perspective. Episode was dynamite 🧨

Although, if she was just human, I'm good with the fact that humans associated with the machinations of villains can agree that some things are just going too far.

@@chazzerous While that is a valid point, it also opens the door to a lot of other rich storytelling. Why is she among the villains that have it out for mutantkind when she herself is a mutant? That is, just because you're villainous doesn't mean you're down with every villainous act. It also sheds light on how keenly she hung on the development of Rogue potentially leading Genosha at Eric's side back at the gala. It begs the question if she's not with the villains entirely, on whose behalf is she among them: Magneto, Xavier, Destiny, Apocalypse? It also pays off the family talk Rogue and now Nightcrawler has been referencing her in.

@@mrcleane6559 That's a hole in my suspicion I'm aware of, but I don't entirely put it past a show to either a) ignore their ability to detect mutants for her to be there, b) claim her gene-reshaping is just that good, c) reveal some device helps her trick the scans, or d) reveal Bastion is well aware it's her and allows her proximity for some other grander reason.

I actually dont think "magneto was right" though at least in some stories his goal is the opposite of FOH and bastion he wants to do that but to humans.. geneocide is wrong no matter who does it. So im worried because of this shows writer hes going to take it down that path.. hopefully not and xavier kicks some moral sense into anyone sadly falling into that thinking after genosha etc.

I’ll be 40 in two months, and three weeks ago I sobbed in the shower as Remy met his EPIC heroic end. Today, I cried tears of joy in the shower again as Logan and Kurt went full blown swashbuckling on those PS fools. Why do I always end up watching this show in the shower? I can’t truly say. Just the way my day flows, but I cannot WAIT to watch the next two weeks and see how they wrap this up and prep us for season 2. Also I just have to say, my second favorite part of this show, other than it existing, is being able to go back and rewatch it through your eyes. Seeing people having the same feelings and drawing similar reactions and feeling connection to something that I’ve been enjoying literally since I’ve been 6 years old…it’s incredible. THIS IS HOW YOU DO A REBOOT/CONTINUATION/WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT. This is literally the best television I’ve watched in my life, possibly ever. It’s like Game of Thrones or The Boys, but I can watch it with my 16 year old daughter without it feeling weird. It’s like Breaking Bad without the drugs. It’s like The Office but not quite as funny, but still knows how to handle an ensemble and multiple storylines brilliantly. What a time to be alive… THANK YOU RR-FAM! ❤️

No, that's most likely Omega Sentinel. She's a sometimes villain, sometimes hero sentinel/human hybrid. Like a prime sentinel but stronger.

Nah, that's either Karima (a Prime Sentinel that was "cured" of her programming and even joined the X=Men a couple times despite not being a mutant) or Daria (a Prime Sentinel from the original storyline who overcame her programming and gave her life to rescue Jubilee after Jubes was captured & tortured by Bastion). Daria was bald in her original storyline while Karima has been bald since the beginning of Orchis & the Krakoa era.
