I like that when Bastion tells his Mother "It's Quiet for the 1st time" it's b/c Magneto took out all tech, and technology constantly spoke to him, so for the 1st time in his head he sort of has peace & quiet.

Reasons why Rogue being with Magneto is temporary. • She's still grieving. • Regardless of where she's mentally, she still knows the X-Men is her family. • Someone might tell her: Let me ask you this, is this what Remy wanted!?". • While she can play a good villain, the problem is that she's been a hero for so long that the idea of her being a villain again is out of the question.

Same here, but the thing is everyone is both right and wrong. Xavier is trying to save the lives of everyone but fails to see that be Positive isn't endless and people have died for his dream. where as Magneto Has walked Charles's path and had everything thrown back in his face.....Multiple times. they shouldn't have to beg for acceptance. but with this plan he is committing genocide (Ironic Given his background) and taking a good portion of mutants out at the same time.

"the world is falling apart bc you left your legacy with a lunatic" That's actually NOT true at all--Genosha was a fixed point. And Bastion was created bc without him the mutants eventually overtake humanity. Magneto would likely have been at Genosha anyway even if he weren't the leader, but Even if he weren't, Genosha was always going to happen, and Magneto was always going to respond. Additionally, without Magneto 's EMP last episode the X-Men would all be slaves or dead right now and the forced conversion of humans into prime sentinels would continue. Xavier leaving the X-Men's to Magneto had almost NOTHING to do with the current state of things. And in fact, they all keep ignoring that Magneto was literally doing things Charles' way at the time and everything still happened.

It annoyed me how they kept de facto blaming Magneto by blaming Xavier for giving the X-Men to him. Magneto was doing a FANTASTIC job following Xavier’s dream while also being pragmatic and real about the context in which they lived. It’s a shame that Bastion turned him and humans against each other though. Magneto, despite all his power, still turned out to be a pawn in Bastion’s game.

As a queer person, who got married just as the Pulse Night Club shooting happened (it happened in June of 2016 I got married in July of 2016) it's so hard not to see the very clear parallels between the Genosha attacks, so it's so hard to see Xavier's side of tolerance. We can be as tolerant as we want to be, it doesn't stop us from dying in our safe spaces.

From the perspective of the show......Magneto is in the wrong? He killed thousands of people but saved his kind. He tried it to coexist, and still through Bastion's design it failed. He picked a side, Mutants. Lets be real, this was fan service which I love seeing this animated, but Logan would have never been the one to strip Magneto of his helmet. It was build-up for what gets done to him in the comics, and im here for it. That being said Erik's points are valid, and it took all this for him to snap. When at any given moment he could have destroyed the world. Loving the series so far.

I know the actor the drew for bastion. At least I think I do. New character modern actor. Although I think any reasonable actor can bring a good character to life. I think X-men should top out at motion capture animation. Live action ain’t for everyone. That way the actors aren’t killing themselves doing the impossible.

I’ll add this: The shows really presents a moment between Magneto and Charles and I think shows the point of no return. Magneto loves Charles. I think that’s obvious. Somewhere deep downside, k think he knows and hopes that Charles’ dream can happen somehow, and the high road is obtainable. However, when Xavier uses his powers to mind-control Magneto, the line is cross. Xavier has violated the high road’s morality and ideology. I think, Magneto seeing Xavier cross that line is the last straw and that build up leads to him stripping Logan of his adamantium, which has become part of his identity. It’s all gone tits up at this point. I love how they make both sides of the argument incredibly compelling, and that there is no black or white binary answer here. It’s all shades of grey.

It's more accurate to say that both mutants and humans have the same basic nature despite their abilities and they both need either to reconcile, go their separate ways, dominate the other, eliminate the other, or kill both of each other if they want lasting resolution between each other.

I really don't think it makes sense for Rogue and Sunspot to join the "let's destroy Earth" team. There is a world of differences between being upset a Charles or at your mom and wanting to destroy the world and kill billions of innocents. I wish Magneto had other acolytes with him instead, like Strong Guy (he did say there was a war coming) and Exodus (who could delay Xavier telepathically until Charles either overwhelmed him or convinced him this course of action was dishonorable and/or bad for mutants)

The Magneto's helmet thing originated in the movies (but was probably inspired by how Juggernaut's helmet could block out Xavier's telepathy), and since then has kinda just become a thing in everything else. You could say technically it doesn't fit with the animated continuity (there's episodes of the old '92 show that contradict it, for sure), but I think it's one of those things that people probably don't mind fudging a bit due to it being a relatively useful plot device.

THEY WERE UNDER THE SAME SHIELD! -are we gnna ignore the fact that storm new outfit materialized out of thin air yet same outfit was still in the glass in the presentation room in the mansion??? this episode was a mess but the presentation and music was great
