i really hope they at least make her telepathy as powerful as it is in the comics. even without serving as an avatar for the phoenix force (and being empowered by it), jean grey has omega-level telepathy and alpha-level telekinesis. she also has the ability to astral project *through time,* create constructs out of psionic energy (like psylocke and kid omega), and siphon the psionic energy away from others to boost her own powers. if empathy is a separate power from telepathy, then she has that power too! jean grey, in the comics, is the most powerful non-reality warping omega.

TBH, watching the original X-Men for the first time currently, I wouldn't say that series talked down to its audience either. There were places where obvious swear words were supposed to be, but it doesn't fully sanitize the conflicts the team face (either together or individually).

Gyrich may be just an ordinary human sitting across from a weather goddess and a guy who can punch you with his eye beams, but he’s honestly the scariest person in the room, even when he’s locked up in prison. Well now. Isn't that fascinating. I was afraid this show would be dumbed down for the younger audience, but once again, Marvel and Disney pull a fast one and make the dialogue just as good, if not better than most of the stuff the MCU has been making. And I mean that to say that listening to Gyrich's rant made me more afraid of him than a thousand Thanos. Oh, and I have to call out the very effective foreboding tool that was used to show the disastrous effects of Jean using Cerebro when she is pregnant. Yes, she tapped into the memories of Gyrich, but she also unintentionally bridged her mind with her unborn son's. Which means one of two things: 1.) Her son is a telepath just like her and is perhaps just as powerful or more powerful than her, or 2.) The writers intentionally decided to throw in a bit of Conservative logic in the mix and stated a child at this stage of the pregnancy is fully conscious and aware of everything happening around them, even having the ability to use telepathic abilities before they've even had the chance to take their first breath. Either way, this just got extremely interesting.

Magneto is the direct result of that kind of bigotry. On top of being a victim of the Holocaust which killed his birth family, he's had to endure decades of seeing innocent mutants be harmed and killed for something they didn't do. He tried to reason with humanity and tried to follow Xavier's vision of equality. But eventually, that patience ran out and he was left with no choice but to fight. Does he go too far often? Yes. @@attiepollard7847 Let me ask you a question that parallels to real life. When 9/11 happened, did you ever feel like, even for a moment, that all Muslims were bad people? Or, if you aren't a US citizen, did you think all US citizens were bad because of Iraq and Afghanistan? Or what is your opinion on the Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Its no secret that the Japanese were the bad guys of WW2 considering what they did to the Chinese and Polynesian peoples during the war? But do you think the bombings shouldn't of happened since it resulted in massive civilian casualties? Because I've heard of Chinese people who were victims of brutal Japanese occupation and, when they learned of the bombs, they called it divine justice. Like I said, Magneto goes too far but I can't blame him. All he wants is for mutants to be treated as equals to humans. For mutants to be safe on Geonosha and he really was trying to move on from his old ways. But after witnessing the massacre, which gave him massive PTSD from the Holocaust, he snapped. Would you be sound of mind when your home just got blown up and you saw countless people, your people, brutally massacred because they were 'the wrong race' according to bigots?

Ah a bigot. How lovely. Let's look at humans then shall we. The following are all responsible for mass destruction and loss of life: Adolf Hitler (Leader of Nazi Germany and responsible for the Holocaust which killed 17 million people in the camps), Christopher Columbus (over 3 million people died during his conquest and the effects of his actions are still felt centuries later by the descendants) Oppenheimer (the nuclear bombs he helped build killed 150,000- 226,000 directly with many more dying after not to mention the damage to the natural environment), Vladmir Putin (killed various political dissidents including at least 20 journalist and launched the war in the Ukraine which currently has a death toll on at least 29,731 civilians alone), George Bush Jr (responsible for various war crimes in his invasion of Afghanistan/Iraq which in addition to thousands of human right abuse resulted in somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000 dead with both countries still in a state of chaos 20 years later), Joseph Stalin (his regime caused the death of at least 20 million people), Vladmir Lenin (his revolution killed at least 8 million Russian citizens), Pol Pot (The Cambodian Genocide launched by his administration killed around 2 million people which was a quarter of his country's population), Mikhail Kalashnikov (small arms inventor who helped create and manufactor the AK-47 which has probably killed millions), etec. Every one I named was a human who caused an incredible amount of misery. By your own logic, humanity are monsters that should be wiped off the map.

In all honesty, when you factor in the whole non binary nonsense that's been spreading throughout the country nowadays... I honestly side with Gyrich here more than I ever would've liked to!
