It is a revival of X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997), continuing the story of the X-Men who face new challenges following the loss of their leader, Professor Charles Xavier. X-Men '97 is produced by Marvel Studios Animation, with DeMayo as head writer for the first two seasons and Jake Castorena as supervising director.

Anyone find it kind of weird that the mutants are like, we're the future humanity has to accept its fate and be outmoded by mutants, but when humanity gets a tech upgrade all of a sudden it's no we have to fight against the future?

You’re completely forgetting that Charles Xavier’s whole schtick is that even though mutants are the future and will out number humanity eventually, human and mutant kind can still coexist with each other and have a peaceful existence. It’s usually those who oppose him to who say stuff like that. Also these human sentinels were literally hunting mutants down because they lost their free will. And if they succeeded they would use mutants as slaves forever. How could you forget this

The sentinels also cornered the President and were about to take out the government, that was the issue with sentinels, they always turned on humanity eventually
