EmpireZz not only that, but they also cut down this movie by 40mins and completely changed the 3rd act which was meant to be a huge battle between Phoenix and the D’bari in the city and then leading into space with a full invasion but apparently it was too similar to “Captain Marvel which was meant to come out after Dark Phoenix until Disney had a say 😤😤😤 can’t believe they sacrificed it

EmpireZz I think they were also meant to initially be Skrulls (hence the shape shifting) but again, too “similar” to Captain Marvel 😩😪

Turnt all day they probably do that because they would lose in a fight if they had the same level of power. I have no clue though. They give the most power to the weirdest people. Like Franklin Richards is a kid but can creat his own realities in a little ball.

That was one of the problems of the Last Stand. Dark Phoenix looked to creepy and weird she looks like she’s going full exorcist. This Dark Pheonix had a more cosmic God vibe, which is much more similar to the comics.

Faded most agree with Famke’s acting (which was superb) other than that, a lot of people agree that Dark Phoenix looked weird (cosmetically) in the last stand.

Famke and Rebecca were 1000x better than these new girls, who just whine like bratty teens or something. They seemed to take all the characters that direction (Beast, Cyclops, Storm), like of group of dramatic 8th graders going through puberty.

But in this movie he just moves normally in slow motion like the CW flash.

Those were reshoots . Tbh people complained the last stand didn’t explore Jean enough and then this one people Complained It was too slow..

Had not been the train sequence, this movie would've been a disaster as Fant4stic but gratefully this movie made the movie atleast watchable for me

I want to think that the problen is the script and not the actress. Hoepfully Disney does a good job at portraying Jean Grey and the others now that they have rights over X-Men.

Just my opinion, but I think Jennifer Lawrence and Sophie Turner were huge steps down from Romajin and Fammke. Lawrence is the superior actor, but Romajin played the role better. Not to mention that Fammke is WAY prettier than Turner.

Famke's version really did great in making her an intimidating force. She doesn't have to make any hand gestures at all. They even managed to show that she can use both her Telepathy and Telekinesis simultaneously as she was able to know that the soldiers will fire the cure syringes to her in a split second and stop them midair. Only that they haven't shown even a single Firey bird cuz they made it just her alternate ego which is bullsh***.

I liked the train sequence until she starting flipping and spinning the train for no reason other than the benefit of the setting 2. acting wasn't that great 3. lost ideas of feminism, I mean that scene of her suggesting the change to "x-women" was horribly cringy in every way 4. the movie needed more time or better pacing 5. action wasn't amazing but was acceptable in some ways 6. characters such as quicksilver were underused 7. movie ending was terrible, very uneventful 8. the astronaut scene was bad, took up screentime, and provided no real benefit to the plot; it just kinda set up the whole "dark phoenix" thing. the scene should have been more entertaining at least. 9. writing wasn't that good and they wasted the great actors and actresses. 10. the movie was terrible at keeping the audience engaged with the characters and story, $200 million wasted.

The real question is: ¿why Magneto thinks that he can defeat Phoenix-Jean when she already demostrate being more powerful than him (the chopper scene)? Also, one thing is being stabbed in the side by three "knives" (a minor injury if the claws doesn't touch anything important) and other a impalation that probably cut the aorta (massive internal hemorragy).

Simple. Jennifer Lawrence didn't want to be involved in the movie any longer plus she hated the make up.

If the character had to die, why not choose a way that made sense, given Mystiques powers - complete incineration for example would have been a plausible option, it would do the trick, would be quite cinematic, and it would fit the phoenix.

Magneto is the best, most fleshed out comic book villain on film IMO. Unfortunately with all of this hate for these Fox X-Men movies, created by Disney / Marvel shills and plants, we'll never get a great, in-depth analysis on how awesome he was in these movies
