It feels wild to see Storm just having a casual conversation and strolling with Apocalypse. It really show just how far her character had developed.

Storm greatness is definitely one of the hardest moments in this Krakoa era💯 Also glad they putting respect on Apocalypse still. I'm waiting for that OG menace Apocalypse to show back up and hit back at Orchis, Eternals and whoever else want it 😅. Him restraining Vulcan like a child was the best display of his power and knowledge 💯

I have always loved Storm. I'm an old school comic guy. I started following X-men back in the 80's. The couple of years she was without her powers was a huge time of character growth for her. I love what this story is doing with her so far.

Storm has been one of my favorite X-girls aside from Psylocke and Jean Grey. She's just so full of power in her! You go girl - she's pretty much the Beyonce of the team now.

Comics Explained… I must say that there are plenty of comic reviewers I listen to but you and Blerd are top tier and you both are in a lane of your own. I deeply respect your mind and indefinitely enjoy your review. You open up a better understanding of these comics…especially for me who has very little time to read and receive the enjoyment of reading my favorite titles. The excitement in your voice describes your passion and I thank you and truly appreciate what you (and Blerd) do for many of us. It would be great to see Storm go all out with her powers but I can do without the Evil at this point and time…maybe back then during or immediately after the Dark Phoenix Saga but now would only mean that she lack’s control and that lack of control would strip her of her Omega Level title and we’ve fought hard and waited too long for that to happen 😂 at least in this title…maybe that lady can do it and maybe her comic will begin to sell cause🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️! She should explore Rogue Storm maybe. I always loved Storm and I explored and researched her powers thoroughly as well as Jean and Vulcan and of the three Storm and Vulcan has the most destructive powers and are similar in nature…Jean is powerful but in the mental spectrum (Jean "not Phoenix" is my fav as well). I hope this power link creates an understanding and build a bond between Storm and Vulcan because he only see the exterior and not the depth of her power…he know his power but not the force she holds over wielding hers. I’m glad Sunfire is back but of course his absence forced me to take an interest in Sunspot and Nova hanging around my favorite mutants made me take an interest in him as well. Al E definitely took his time building these characters and showing that their strengths is their weakness especially with Storm and Vulcan and hopefully they don’t bury him again nor would him and Storm fight each other but fight together cause Vulcan has been held back since joining Krakoa…limited to only mental constructs and what we thought would be a battle of Omega Level feats between him and Storm was only a let down. As for Storm and Apocalypse, I remember reading a title where Storm was already mentioned as a powerful key in the future at the time and that was in an underground tomb in Egypt that once housed Apocalypse right before the "Twelve". Apocalypse already knew of Storm’s greatness and had even stated how he respected her..he didn’t show it because she was still so very young and had not come into her full potential. Honestly, I hope Storm win this war cause she was held back when she was own earth..it seems like Mars is not as sensitive so she can let loose even though she’s long since far beyond the limitations of earth’s laws of nature it’s good that many can finally understand why Storm has the type of dedicated fans she have because they only see wind, lightning and rain and not the fact that she can weaponize those elements in unimaginable ways.

Have they ever talked about the impact of Storm using her abilities, or drawbacks from them? Since all the effects of weather she can create obviously are not in a vacuum or isolated, would other areas have to proportionally compensate for the extreme changes she is causing in the system?

Storm is a total boss.

What interesting about Storm is she would never have a Phoenix and quickly turn to Dark Phoenix moment. Save that for the weak willed. Her will is too strong and in control.

Genesis's expression at the end. Man, Rob, I got chills man. I love the way they handled this story. Storm chose not to use the [beyond nuclear] option because she wanted to minimize casualties and challenge Genesis to a 1 on 1 island "mech" battle. Literally, they got 5 mutants together and formed their own version of a megazord. This is so f**king cool! Apocalypse doing this is by far the most interesting aspect, as he had a hand in convincing her not to use Ororo. He must feel like using another for your purposes like that doesn't prove your own strength. That might sound hypocritical, but his minions are always an extention of him by sharing a connection through ideals or his own power coarsing through them. Ororo is none of that. Additionally, he must know Genesis has access to this same magic. So he might feel like giving Storm this same option makes it a true competition to see who is strongest. Lastly, he never seems to go for the genocide option, especially after becoming a part of Krakoa. He might see the death of so many mutants at the hands of their fellow mutants as more of a weakening of their people more than anything else. The mutant population is already having a hard enough time as it is, what with "no more mutants" and the Ororo thing. . . .Now that I think about it, with all that in mind, binding Vulcan to his will and forcing him to do this after how many Vulcan has killed, makes perfect sense. God, the X-men comics are just knocking it out of the park. I'm loving all their stories right now!

Has Odin ever met Storm? I know Thor knows her well, but I'm curios as to how other deific characters refer to her. Bastet doesn't like her at some point, but Storm earns her respect. But, Bastet isn't walking around in physical form. Odin and Thor straight humble Tony Stark, but Thor respects the Goddess in Storm. Odin forced the mother of all storms into Thor's hammer, I wonder how he views Storm.

I was always a fan of Storm even going back to the X-men animated series; she always struck me as a better leader than Cyclops

Storm didn't destroy the trigger she just disabled it. The trigger is energy and she can manipulate and disrupt it but anyone else that can manipulate energy can likely restore it like Vulcan, Papa Apocalypse etc. In SoS the Genesis war happened in that timeline but Storm didnt use the trigger until mutants wanted Eternals dead and had him kill all Eternals. So its likely still usable because she probably did the same thing

Im loving the nuance in apocalypse powerset getting more complex.

I’m happy they finally giving STORM her justice. She’s one of the most powerful mutants. More so than Jean Gray. And I want them to really emphasize that. She’s well beyond Jean. Her ability to manipulate atoms gives her the ability to create a force field around herself to block out any telepathic mutants … therefore Jean cannot get into her head. She also has the ability to suck ALL of the air out of Jean’s body before Jean can even blink… she can fly to other planets … manipulating matter allows her to even CREATE planets … she can summon ancestors, has the added power of black panther, magic and mutant abilities… and this is all on her normal powers. Just imagine her catching a Pheonix …

Actually... I'm lost. The equivalent of the Phoenix force got shown by Storm in a old issue of tyhe X-Men than most everybody seems to have forgot (after the death of Phoenix). I cannot for the life of me remember the issue number, but the gist of it is: 1 - Arcade (I just looooves this puzzle vilain type) captures Storm on the behalf of Dr Doom. 2 - Doom encaces her ina a metal skin layer, rendering her conciously trapped in her own worst form of fear: maximum claustrophobia (wich neither Arcade nor Doom knows about) 3 - By instinct and fear, she reaches a [way] higher potential of power said to be equivalent to the one of the Phoenix Please to an episode or a correction/adendum about it.
