Ewing is continuing the story in one of the 3 main series for the end of krakoa, the resurrection of magneto which is storm and the red crew trying to bring back magneto to help stop orchis. kinda pissed that after mags' perfect death in red 7, they're bringing him back less than 2 years later but whatever I trust Ewing to write it

The first Horsemen ARE Genesis and Apocalypse’s biological children. In one of the before the Fall issues showed the life Apocalypse and Genesis had before Amenth came, and she’d just recently gave birth to them.

Thor actually had a meeting with storm during the Arakki Civil War and he explained why power scaling is inconsistent and that its pointless to try to measure it tangibly. great read, by the same author as Red, check out immortal thor 4

I can't WAIT for Mags to come back! I wanna see Apocalypse & Magneto on a new X-Men/Mutant team. If they're really done w/Krakoa, how about a new beginning on the new islands, or even combining them together for a new landmass. Imagine returning the mutant governing body, w/this years X-Men roster, since that team didn't get a chance to get off the ground then adding 2 new teams w/Magneto & Apocalypse on them! Imagine

Dang!!!! Great Review!!! Ground Avatar Vs Sky Avatar!! This fight was mostly a fight against Annihilation. I think we gona get a rematch becuz Genesis got a blood-fued now that her PRECIOUS is gone 😅 Genesis being willing to kill Storm from within with her own food fungi is not gona be forgotten. Storm cud have taken the breath away from her or increased the pressure around her like we saw her do. I love how they exiled her to the moon and she handled that orchis outpost! This is all building up nicely!

so nightcrawler is acting as spider man but a lil while ago, onslaught caused phobos to come crashing down onto arakko which would've basically rendered the planet uninhabitable. so nightcrawler had Fabian Cortez boost his powers way past the max and teleported the moon back up into orbit, but it killed him and left his body there on the moon, which orchis then preserved after they set up base there

Xaiver's school was always holding Storm back when it came to her power. That's what we learned from X-Men Red. But at least it developed her where it counted the most... Her strength of character, her strength of will... And her desire to accomplish her goals without sacrificing needlessly...essentially her respect for life. Her time as regent of Mars... More or less shows us how her training would have gone if she would have joined Magneto's crew from the beginning. If she was around a bunch of mutants she had to constantly go to battle against...and evade death from...just to govern 😂😎🤘🏾.They really hit the mark with what that type of existence does for storm. It was an awesome arc of development for her and a few other mutants . X-MEN RED was spectacular 🤘🏾😎

I kind of saw where they were going with it all as far as big A not actually siding with Genesis, he wasn’t against her either as if to say “hey, if you succeed then you do” but he wasn’t taking the route she was. For me he feels like there is way more at stake and these times although they’re rough for mutant kind he’s not going to compromise HIS bigger picture. He more was playing the background of the party seeing how everyone was dancing and where the confetti was going to land at the end. I feel like he has something up his sleeve for him and his family but he’d like for them to be on one accord. He is being secretive like his hm said though I felt that and that’s why. It feels like he’s planning something. Previous issues hint at it too. He isn’t moving like he normally would. He’s stepping his chest game up. I think.

If you want to be technical or very pedantic, Storm did NOT, in point of fact, kill an elder god. She destroyed its tether to physical reality. Which dispersed the energy that makes up Annihilation, but it didn't do anything other than that. Annihilation will eventually pull itself back together, probably back on its home plane of existence.

eh I think that the restructuring of the helm into the staff was them showing us that annihilation no longer had anywhere near the power and was confined to that limited manifestation entirely. otherwise, she would've just abandoned genesis

Untethering from reality is essentially the same thing as death in Marvel. When Odin died, he still existed, he just entered another plane of existence, that being Valhalla. Dying is just the act of untethering from the mortal realm. Plus, she’d come back anyway if she was killed. This is marvel we’re talking about. No one stays dead except Uncle Ben.

Storm has so many ways to beat Wonder Woman just with her regular weather manipulation. Her use of sorcery and the ability to weild Thor's hammer almost puts her over the top. THATS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING the only solace I have is that Ewing is writing it and I trust him implicitly with any and all characters but Magneto had such a perfect death. I brought this up online and the people who disagreed pointed out that his death was basically "the equivalent of going to sleep and turning the lights out and saying 'nobody wake me up'" so this was bound to happen eventually, and like I see that, but I just wish they'd let his perfect death sit. I'm sure al Ewing will turn the whole thing into a beautiful meditation on life and legacy and stuff but like you could've just not

I know a handful of people have not really enjoyed the Krakoan Era of the Xmen lore (i have loved every minute of it btw) but the one thing no one can complain about is how it has fully realized Storm as a character and a mutant.

actually the og xmen was comprised of cyclops, iceman, Jean Grey, beast, and angel. it wasn't until a decade later with giant size xmen 1 that storm joined the new, international team of xmen including wolverine, nightcrawler, colossus, and a few others
