Super video Matt. As an ex-BHX employee I love watching these videos! Regarding your Excel pushback question, prior to pushback, a pin is inserted into the nose gear which disconnects hydraulic power to the nose wheel steering. This is obviously removed once the push is complete, but the pins themselves are very brittle and they have been known to snap/shatter which means the push has to be stopped immediately to avoid any damage to the nose wheel. It happens a lot but the pins are designed to break during any excessive force! The proper name is a ‘Bypass Pin’. :)

Brilliant video Matt. I bought XPlane last month after years on FSX/P3D and have to say I love it. Fantastic simulator with loads of free add-ons.

Thanks Matt, I've been looking forward to seeing you cover this! I use both P3D V3 & X-Plane 11; I find that they both have their own inherent advantages and disadvantages. I don't understand why some people get so worked up about comparing one to the other. You look great by the way, keep up the great work!

First flight in my life was in a TUIFly 737-800 from Frankfurt to Antalya. Love this plane and love the ZIBO Mod.

Great video. Made the switch to XP11 about a year ago and I have not regreted it (after crying myself to sleep while adding up the money lost from P3D). This sim has superior flight dynamics and looks amazing. And a great community!

At 27.00 Matt switches on the windscreen heats, but says "we're not going to need them".... Another great model from Zibo, They do freeze up and go opaque without the switches on! If you arrive Cold & Dark in cold conditions, you may think, graphics problem? but no, frozen windscreen 😄 Thanks for another great vid Matt, more XP11 and Zibo please as l feel sure he will fix anomalies you find. fd2s also has some stunning tutorials too. push back scenario, from an experienced ramp person, if its the old two bar ( not what we call tow bar less units like the TLD ) then when the over turn limit is passed ( hence the small red lie on the nose gear doors ) then the shear blots give way they are designed to do this to protect the nose gear hydraulics etc, when they go either nose gear end or push back end it sounds like a shot gun going off and i have seen it twice...!, very very scary, its the the duty of the headset an to inform the flight deck so they can apply soft braking as the nose bar pin can be over ridden....! if its a tow bar less unit, again the shear weight of the aircraft verse inertia will cause the rocking to and fro....either way this particular function by push back crews is a very very hazardous role...!,,sorry for the long answer, hope it helps........nice to see you back on line mate and looking so well.....nice one mate..best wishes from an ex brit in kmco.....!

Hey matt great video nice to see you back on youtube. My feedback is to look at the camera more when you're doing the intros, I know your looking at your monitors and you're not used to it, but it just seems a bit awkward when you dont look at the camera when you are talking to us. During the flying portion i can understand why you wouldnt however.
