Jeff, your practical, easy-going approach is refreshing. I can tell that you love piloting. Your voice is comforting and you are easy to follow. It’s been 15 years since I last piloted. With X Plane 11, three screens, Air Manager, an NVIDIA 1080 graphics card and a big dose of motivation from watching your videos, I’m having almost as much fun at age 72 as I did then, and without leaving the house. Thanks.

Being a private pilot as well Jeff, I really appreciate your enthusiasm toward aviation. I did catch two mistakes that you should never do in real life. 1.) Do not ever put in any flaps while banking the aircraft. This can cause a loss of lift if winds shear and can cause you to stall or spin. 2.) TURN OFF THOSE AVIONICS!! Before you kill your engine, turn off the buses as this can cause some major technical and electrical problems in your equipment. Does it bother the 172 much? No, but it can happen. The larger the plane, the greater the risk..... Hope to fly with you one day, give me a shout-out if you're ever in Louisiana!

This cessna is very well designed, and it looks like an easy plane to learn the essential concepts of flying.

I've never been really interested in flight simulators, but with VR I keep watching videos on X-Plane 11.

Jeff, great video as usual. If you ever do find yourself planning a XC flight in real-life and want to come out west a bit to KPUB (where I live), or KCOS just on the eastern plains of Colorado near the rocky mountains; you seriously gotta' let me know. I'd be happy to treat you guys to a nice dinner.

That was great! Would love to see what controls you have and how you are looking around and pressing switches with your mouse and still flying easily. Could you do a video of that?

Watched this video a thousand times as a kid. Back again as part of my Bachelor of Aviation course here in Aus. Instructors included this video as part of our readings for our tutorials.

Hey Jeff. When you turn on the master switch the Magnetos do not spin. Only the Gyros. The Magnetos are attached to the engine and provide electricity to the ignition system. That’s why you do a
