Thank you! I've been looking everywhere for how to route MultiRack to outputs. It was the "XLR OUT" tab that I wasn't using. I was routing my card to just inputs. I've been wanting to use INPUTS 1-24 plus 6 MTX / LR. It was those last 8 channels of MultiRack on the outs that I couldn't figure out. Thanks a million!!! May God Bless you!

Best video I’ve seen so far about processing the outputs on an X32/M32! Can you also use this way of routing for processing stereo busses, or is remapping the auxes and inserting the best/only option?

I’m happy to know I could help! Things have changed severely since I made this video. The advanced routing functionality in the 4.0 software has made things a fair bit easier with mapping master busses. Group processing still sucks. I’m actually considering a partnership with Waves to start pushing the LV1 platform. If you consider the cost of the LV1 system line by line you get a much better bang for your buck...

@@donodom3 I have been looking at LV1 as well and completely agree, but in some cases I might still need to incorporate the trusty M32 and AES50 stage boxes.

sidewalkprojects Oh absolutely. The X32 with the DN32 card provides a great way to still use existing P16 personal monitors for example!

sidewalkprojects If you’re talking about using LV1 on top of the X32 platform, you are working with a power house of processing. No doubt. You can use an X32s I/O for LV1 and practically bypass the X32s processing all together.

Hi) Can you please tell how to route if I use digital output (AES) on the mixer. With analog outputs works well, but with AES I can't figure out how to route. Thanks:)

Unfortunately as it stands you cannot process the digital AES output on the console. Perhaps in future firmware you might be able to. ~ZaVa Sound Support Team

I know that this video was a long while back now, but I had a question. At 3:21 on the video here, you have a MultiRack on one computer and your DAW on another. Is that necessary? And if I got a separate computer for let's say, the MultiRack, being that I'm sure the DAW needs a lot of processing power and disc space, does the computer with MultiRack need just as much processing power, RAM and disc space?

No, it is not necessary as long as you are not passing channels out of your DAW while recording and using MultiRack, however, chances are your computer will have trouble running a DAW and MultiRack simultaneously. In the native configuration of MultiRack, you are going to need far more processing power to run plugins.

@@ZaVaSoundThe setup that I'm trying to configure is using the X32, with an X-WSG card installed, and using the Soundgrid Impact server and the supplied netgear switch that came as the combo that they offered, then hooked up to my PC. So I hope that using the impact server would make it feasible to run MultiRack and a DAW on the PC at the same time. Hate to think I have to get a second PC. I also want to configure my Korg Kronos into this menagerie and I don't know exactly how I would hook it up. To the PC via USB as a controller, and/or the X32 via MIDI cable or one of the XLR inputs. If you can answer one or all of these, I'll be your youtube buddy forever. just kidding. That's not a threat, and I'm not a stalker! lol. but HELP ME,,, just sayin'. Thank you

@@hoozerob If you are on the Soundgrid network with a server you should easily be able to use a DAW and MultiRack simultaneously. I would advise use Tracks Live (DAW) if you want to record and use MultiRack simultaneously as it requires very little CPU power. If you do not want to use Tracks Live make sure your DAW does not have any effects in the racks as it eats up a ton of onboard CPU power.

@@ZaVaSound Thanks for the advice. And I had already downloaded Tracks Live, though I haven't installed yet. I was waiting till I had all the rest of this figured out. Thanks again. and if you have any advice on rigging my Kronos to this, I'd appreciate it.

Nice! So you lose the ability to route your first 8 input channels to waves tho now in this scenario? Ugghhh.
