A bit late, but here's my take on his backstory: The boy that would become the Crimson Cardinal was abandoned by his parents from a very young age. Jumping between foster homes and the street, he eventually caught the attention of a clandestine organization, somewhat similar to DC's League of Assassins/Shadows. The boy was trained by this organization, and given a red suit that allowed him to fly and project soundwaves, taking the name of the Crimson Cardinal. He went up against Bullet Boy and other heroes from the HA multiple times, until he saw the error of his ways and became a hero, eventually earning the trust of his former enemies, the Hero Assembly

I really like the one with his brother becoming the crow, can you shape this into your version? It could be like his dad ends up being the crow or still a brother

Dude all of these are really good. The one where cardinal was a test subject and got his motif from a cardinals that would fly by the window, the one where his own brother is his arch enemy that killed his parents, the inter dimensional one, and the abusive parents leading him to find a mentor that trained him are my favorites. But the final one is one I wouldn't have expected, which is so cool, adding a layer of mysticism and kinda making him a chosen one. All are really cool. Maybe "The Crow" could be a dark version of Crimson Cardinal and the evil clan is looking to take over the world there. There could be a character who could be a friend or enemy that uses the evil science experiment origin. The inter dimensional beast being a villain has potential too. So much can be done here.

I love all these origin stories for Cardinal. Especially the fact his parents turn into chicken nuggets 😂 but it does help and makes me think about reworking on one of my heroes I have talk about it in server. Seriously tho, it's hard to choose since a lot of them were good. But I like the idea of the last fan one about him being born in Nepal. Probably even discovered Cardinals when he went to America (not a bird expert but I am positive Red Cardinals are American birds for sure).

Hey Xander, I’m trying to start my own comic series and this helped me ALOT Thanks and much Love 😊

I also had an idea for several characters, and lately I'm thinking about a character who will be called Titan Químicco (químicco is a reference to the word quimico which in Spanish means chemical), he will carry a bag where he will store spheres that actually contain explosive chemical products that he will use to throw at his enemies, and he will also have the ability to become gigantic like Ant-Man, I think he will be a good character.

I think a good idea for the Crimson Cardinal would be a former villain. Maybe he was the leader of a criminal organization at some point, with his superhuman powers giving him the nickname "Songbird" or something, explaining the bird theming, but he was defeated by a vigilante, and his empire quickly crumbled. From that, he realized how badly his organization messed with people, and the harm he had caused, so he vowed to make sure no one like him would ever become like him. The mask acts as to hide his identity from other superheroes, and make amends with his former enemies.

My friend and I are working on our own superhero universe, and we already have a lot of heroes. Honestly, too many heroes for two people to write. One of them is a young hero named Cardinal after the college basketball team she plays for. In fact, she plays multiple sports including basketball, baseball, hockey, and even some martial arts. Originally, I wanted her to just be very athletic without any powers, but I'm now thinking of giving her powers, so she doesn't feel like a perfect Mary Sue.

I like when the brother was the crow origin it set the tone from.

I loved that crow idea a lot so I’m giving him a story, So the crimson cardinal shortly after he became a hero he kept seeing a shadow staring at him one day the crimson cardinal was tired of ignoring its beckoning call so he confronted it and the shadow ran away and the cardinal began chasing him thinking quickly the cardinal grabbed the shadow locking it in a head lock the cardinal asked the shadows name a he it was revealed to be the crow the cardinal had no idea who that was but before he could ask another question the shadow disappeared the cardinal couldn’t see where it went so he eventually left going back to his post in the heart of the city.

I do hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and I do apologize for the tardiness of my comment, but when this video was posted, I was a bit busy at work. However, I did place it in my save watch in the later section and I am very glad that I did. This video was absolutely wonderful. I really enjoyed the design of The Crimson Cardinal, because it reminded me of a knightly figure of old or something straight out of a science fiction story or film. The lores or origins for this video were absolutely amazing and out of all of them, I definitely enjoyed Xander's origin for the character, as well as the origin that deals with The character named The Crow. Anyways, thank you so much to all those community members, who sent their origin stories to Xander and thank you XanderFlicks for sharing your story with us, as well as this great video. This is a very late idea, but Here's what I got. Liu Tanaka is a Japanese-American boy, who was bought up along with his older brother, Kensho Tanaka in Tokyo until recently he moved to US when he was 13. His English was very good. As he was taught by his American father. But he never fit into American society and was often bullied a lot. Only thing that made him happy in the new city was birdwatching the Red Cardinals in the forest. There was something about those Cardinals that gave him peace of mind. He went birdwatching every week with his older brother, who was very popular as he had been to America before and knew all the habits. Kensho Tanaka was 17 years old with many anger issues. He always tried to help his brother with fitting in. Their father was a very kind man, A charitable man, but he was working for mysterious company, in an Unknown position, which was the reason he moved to America. His father was rarely home due to this. And His Japanese mother was always out trying to get to know the area they were staying in. Due to this, Kensho's anger issues began to worsen. And he began acting out at everyone. One day, their father came rushing home. Carrying mysterious files, his father told them to pack quickly. Everyone was against this as they had just moved. And to move again would be too much for anyone. Kensho's Anger issues began to act. He began screaming and Arguing at his Father, whereas Liu quietly refused to pack. Then all of a sudden a bright flash appeared. The two brothers woke up in a room, bloodied by the remains of their parents. They were shook. Their parents were killed. Then they were knocked out. When they woke up, They were in a research facility, with other young boys. Liu and Kensho were brutally experimented on by those cruel scientists. One day they heard one of the scientists say "Dr Tanaka, was one of our best researchers, the technology he developed was revolutionary, His sons are incredible specimens. What a shame he could not share our vision. But those pro atheletes we experimented on are yet to show any results. Perhaps they are an anomaly. Kensho and Liu were shocked. These people had killed their father. They had tortured them. During one of the experiments, Out of pure anger. Both brothers had Awakened their powers. Kensho had awakened multiple powers, He could manipulate and create bursts of wind shockwaves. He could fly in the sky, aand could combine the shockwaves with his voice to do a devastating sonic scream. He also had the basic super strength and durability, with enhanced speed. Where as Liu had awakened the power to create A Type of metal feather-like blades, which were, very light, durable and heat resistant and could cut through anything. If he got angry enough, The blades would combust and have a destructive layer of fire around them. He was also gifted with fangs. He also had Super strength and enhanced speed. They were trained to be killers, by the top martial artists in the world, But they left as superhumans could not be trained by them. The continuous Torture caused Liu to lose his mind. He was continuously building up all his anger, causing him to become extremely violent. One day, A New teacher arrived. His codename was Agent Dusk. A World famous hitman and killer. He challenged every Superhuman to a fight, he dropped his weapons and wiped the floor with them. As Punishment for failure, They were tortured. Kensho was holding onto the memories of seeing Red Cardinals, The times when he was happy, to hold onto his sanity. Where as his brother Liu became a murderous psychopath. One day, Kensho beat Agent Dusk in a bare knuckle, 1v1 without any powers. The next time, so did Liu. Liu was about to kill a worn down Agent Dusk using his powers, but Kensho stopped him. Agent Dusk called Kensho weak due to his Mercy. One day they were given armour for a job to seize a military base. But thanks to the opportunity, Kensho and Liu escape and fight their way through the facility. In the End, Liu tried to massacre the facility. But Kensho stopped him. At that moment, Liu snapped. He started laughing maniacally, he asked his brother "Why won't you Join me? They killed our parents and tortured us! Yet you still show them Mercy." Kensho replied " I don't want another child to suffer the same fate as us." Liu was angered by his older brother's response. He struck at him with a blade. Kensho blocked it and used his shockwave bursts to attack him. A Raging battle ensued, leading to Kensho Standing over his downed younger brother. Liu was angry, he tries one last move. One chance to be better than his brother. He engulfs his body in feather-like blades. Giant Bladed Wings sprout from his back. He becomes a winged monster. He began flying using his wings. He killed everyone in the facility. He flung at his brother. But he dodged it. Another violent battle ensued. This time Liu won. Liu burst a hole in the ceiling and left. 30 years later, Kensho became the Crimson Cardinal, named after the thing that used to give happiness to his brother. Liu started a new organisation, The Predator's Nest, as the villain the Black Crow.

I like idea of Russian and clan idea. I think the cardinal should relate to the mother. Crimson Cardinal Mother loved to bird watch with Cardinal being her favorite to spot. The boy runs away, stumbling on a clan that gifts him power from what makes him suffer(his mother dies so gives him abilities like a bird) the clan trains him with his abilities and martial arts. Later he learns the clan he works for are group of Assassins to kill American congressmen and other idols because they still have the motives from communist Russia. This is a idea and more can definitely be added on.

Your gonna have to hear me out on this. I'm a bit late for the whole origin thing but if you need one for a different character this is always an option. He was in a intense and powerful clan of warriors with superhuman abilities. He quickly grew in strength and skill and mastered the unique fighting style the clan teaches. But ones day his father grew extremely jealous of his sons ability and started being harder on him every day, but he only grew stronger. So one night, the father woke up in the middle of the night and killed the entire clan, then he woke his son up and made home see his entire family/clan dead. Then his father killed himself and said "This could have been prevented, if you weren't ever born". So then for the next multiple years, everyone thought that he killed his entire family/clan even though he was innocent. So he was treated horrible until he ran away. But he quickly got lost, then out of pure luck a cardinal started to circle him and showed him the way to a mountain where a father like figure continued to train him until he was old enough to leave.

Here’s an idea for a backstory: Tohru Sakaki was abandoned as a child and taken in by a secret mystical society in the Himalayas. He was raised as one of them and taught their mystical and martial arts. After turning 18 he joined the city guards and quickly became well respected in his community. One day evil men came and burned the city to the ground while Tohru was out killing everyone. Feeling rage at these men Tohru then vowed to make every wrong doer pay by becoming a hero.

But I do think if we changed his main story a bit to reveal he grew up in Russia we could see if he was a hired killer mind controlled to cause events in world history maybe the Russian company he works for is the same company that blackmailed bullet boy

For the Crimson cardinal his backstory should be that he is from a great ninja clan and they were all killed and he’s the last one left

So is there a Supervillain that forces all the superheroes to work together. Also maybe make a new Superhero out of the concepts of 3 of your childhood superheroes. Also once you're done rebooting your childhood superhero universe are you going to animate it?

Crimson Cardinal backstory: A man named Rob Richards adopts a small child, and names him Caelan. But this man isn't nice, he adopts him for the sole purpose of using him as an evil project called Crimson-X. In a lab full of evil scientists, they put the 8 year old Caelan into a red cube and trapped him in there. The scientists hold the DNA of the best athletes in the world, (Bullet Boy's parents??) and the strongest birds to exist. Angry, tearful, frightened, Caelan screams for his life as they pour a type of liquid into the red cube, forcing Caelan to swallow it. Caelon passes it out. Project Crimson-X didn't work. The kid died.... until his eyes shoot up, bloody red, and he screams, louder than any kid or adult has ever screamed. It shatters the cube, and he shoots out of it, towards his 'father', Rob Richards, and screams in his face, crying. He kills Richards with his incredibly loud scream, and the other scientitsts run for their life, but one scientist grabs a bottle that says "Clay Organism", and then rushes out. (Bulk??) After all this, in fear and sadness, Caelan runs away as well, towards the woods... After 7 years of living and hiding in the woods with birds, bears, and all kinds of animals, Caelon Richards hears harsh and fast rustling near the trees. He runs quick behind a rock, with a cardinal. He hears a teenage boy, about the same age as him, in a supersuit that's blue, running through the trees, and dodges.. nothing? But then, a fast green and black speed comes alive and it's a man in a black and green suit, with a mask. "Stop running, Bullet Boy!" the masked, fast man yells. "Force me, Avoidjah!!" Bullet Boy responds. Avoidjah laughs, and quickly grabs the teenage hero by the neck, ready to end him. But Caelon notices this, and remembers his pain, the experiment he was.. Caelon jumps out behind the rock, and kicks Avoidjah away from Bulley Boy. He uses his scream, which is way more advanced than when he was 8, and is now a SUPER SONIC SCREEAAM! Avoidjah yells in pain, but doesn't stop fighting. But Caelon isn't done either, and somehow has the athletic ability of fighting, and punches, and kicks, and defeats Avoidjah (for now). Caelon asks Bullet Boy if he's okay, Bullet Boy nods, and then tells him to come with him, to the Hero Assembly's headquarters. Bullet Boy says he has potential, and gives him a suit that he made for himself, but it didn't look right for him. It's rusty, brown, and red, and really tight. Caelon says thanks, but also adds that he'll revamp it.. and then comes back with an advanced suit with red armor, a large beak for sonic screams, and his long hair (cuz he never got haircuts!) sticking out like him. An alarm goes off in the head quarters, and Bullet Boy says there's robbery. He asks Caelon if he wants to help. Caelon agrees, and Bullet Boy asks, "What's your superhero name?" Thus started the incredible orgin of the pained Caelon Richards, also known as... CRIMSON CARDINAL!! (love your work Xander)

Im very late but here is my story Discovered as an orphan in the refuse of a harsh existence, Crimson Cardinal's early days were marred by parental abuse. However, fate took an unexpected turn when a eccentric scientist stumbled upon the discarded child in a trash bin. Taking him in as his own, the scientist became a surrogate father, introducing the orphan to a world of eccentric inventions. Growing up amidst the whirlwind of his adopted father's madcap experiments, Crimson Cardinal developed a deep appreciation for the world of science. Yet, a fateful accident occurred when a mishap in the lab caused a concoction of potions to mix. The family cat inadvertently triggered the chaotic reaction, leading Crimson Cardinal to unknowingly ingest the volatile mixture. As he matured, the once discarded orphan discovered he had acquired extraordinary abilities. A piercing sonic scream emanated from him, his body displayed a remarkable regenerative capacity, and he found himself capable of flight. Combining these newfound powers with the martial arts skills learned during his upbringing, Crimson Cardinal emerged as a formidable force, determined to protect others from harm. Now, with a crimson aura surrounding him, Crimson Cardinal soared above the city, a guardian born from adversity, defending the innocent against the very threats he once faced in his troubled past.

Brooo i wish i saw that post i have such a cool idea for him well whether u see this or not im just gonna leave my idea here Ethan, a little boy, was always an enthusiastic person and he had lots of friends in the city. One day his father, a scientist named Zack, said that they were moving to the forest because he had to run some experiments in an empty place where no one could get hurt. Ethan was devastated by this and didn't want to go. But inevitably they moved to a log cabin in a forest about 5-6 miles away from the city. Ethan started to get very introverted after this and he was also angry with his parents for not letting him stay in the city. Ethan would spend his days out in the woods alone. He could here some machines whirring in the distance. He knew they belonged to his father and didn't want Anything to do with them. He would run around the woods all day with his only companion being a red Cardinal that he dubbed Crimson. He and Crimson would spend days by the river, sometimes swimming, fishing or juet relaxing. One day Crimson would not show. No matter how much Ethan yelled, Crimson wouldn't come. Ethan was worried and he searched rhe entire forest for him. Suddenly he heard a caw and machines whirring. He bolted to the noise, assuming the worst. as he arrived, he saw Crimson in a glass cage with syringes all over him leading to a machine. He saw his father hooking up the syringes to some chemical and into himself as well. "DAD WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" He yelled "THAT'S MY FRIEND!" His father saw him but gave simply replied, "Sacrifices must be made Ethan" and pulled a lever. Crimson cawed in pain. Ethan, bursting with rage, ran to his father and pushed him. Zack fell onto the controls and the machine went out of control. His father grabbed Ethan's hand and pulled him towards the log cabin. But Ethan pushed him away and ran to Crimson. As he opened the cage, the machine exploded, killed the Cardinal and severely injuring Ethan. His father picked him up, ran to the cabin, told him mother to get in the car and they rushed him to a hospital. The 10 year old boy was in critical condition. As they were nearing the closest hospital, gun shots. They landed on the hood of the car and Zack screeched to a halt. Two robbers appeared and asked for all the money and their phones. Ethan's father and mother pleaded for them to let them go but they said no. The parents were killed that night and Ethan was left to rot. About an hour later a couple noticed the car. They stopped to see what happened and saw the dead parents and the boy. They called 911 and explained everything as they rushed the boy to a hospital. About a whole year later Ethan was healed and the couple adopted him and raised him as their own. Ethan learned Martial arts from the man named Shang and soon he grew up. Shang and his wife eventually passed away due to old age and their fortune was left to their only son, Ethan. He used all the money to build his super suit and now uses it to fight crime. He also is on a mission to find the two men that took everything from him. Edit: just added that last line to it.

I also have a crimson chin- I mean cardinal backstory. His father was a general in the army.his father taught him the martial arts er most of it...before the accident...when crimson cardinal was about 16 or so he was put into the army as an aviary fighter.then an unexpected war broke out with (enter country name here) and his father told him not to go but he disobeyed him and went into the war.he since he was a very talented jet flier he was able to shoot down and avoid most opposing jets but then his jet was shot and he hit an opposing jet and fell down.he somehow survived the crash but on the brink of death, but at what cost.he landed just half a mile away from a nuclear landing spot and when the bomb finally hit the ground...he went unconscious.he luckily woke up after a day or two but was overwhelmed by radiation sickness.luckily after another hour he was able to stand but he felt...strong,powerful even! But he remembered something.His father!he ran and ran and then he got lifted off the ground! He could fly!he went as fast as he could but he was to late...his father was dead.the enemy invaded the base and they slaughtered everyone...he then began to cry & cry & cry. he wanted revenge...he wanted VENGEANCE!!! He started to train his newly gained powers to protect people,and not only from his own fate.but from violence in general.several years of training lead him to be the man he is.(okay I will add more on a later date)

I had a backstory in mind but never commented on it but today I'm gonna reveal it so without further Ado here is my take on the Crimson Cardinal Crimson Cardinal was a very good and smart kid and and his parents were really good scientists who worked with the same company that experimented on bullet-boy's parents and that company had an initiative which picked up kids from around the city to create the ultimate super team and gave the kids enhanced abilities called the "PhenomeX Academy" project and crimson's parents also enrolled their son into the same project but once they found about the horrible experiments and the intention to use them for bad guy stuff they tried to pull crimson out of the project but were....terminated. crimson was chosen to be part of the category which gave kids animal like powers hence the cardinal and they used it's abilities like flight and gave it to crimson and one side affect of the gene transfer was that crimson got sonic screams and he used those to break out and leave the facility. He used his family's vast fortune to build a suit and further improve his training and than hunted down the man responsibility for his torture but once he found out the company had been taken down he set out on a new mission to find the other kids and protect them from the evil corporations. I hope you like it Xandar

Here's a suggestion every hero universe needs a super dark villain The Reaver A man once kind and compassionate turned into a force for evil, as if he lost all humanity. He can speak, he just chooses not to. As he stares down his prey through his mask of executioners, carrying reapers scythe and a hidden blade in his forearms. The man had no name, but was refereed to as Pariah in the orphanage of Norway. One day he followed a cat into an alley and was hit with a potion that both scared and changed him. Not only did gain the standard powers of super humans (strength, durability, healing, speed) he had an additional power that no one could match. He could numb his entire being so that no pain can stop or hinder his desired task. The strangest part of him he doesn't do evil deeds out of enjoyment, there only seems to be random reasons. Bullet Boy once investigated string of brutal murder and failed to save the final victims . Reaver seemed to be trying to teach Bullet Boy that no matter his speed there will always be people he can't save. Whipstar was attack by Reaver when isolated and alone, his motives appeared to try and break her. So that she learns regardless of her power and determination even she can be brought to a low field. Reaver leaves books and missing posters of dead children Infront of Insect at almost every corner for day, mocking her of the idea that she could have children, have a family. As insects have countless children with random mates. Reaver is cruel, but he seems to be a necessary evil who unknown if he takes enjoyment of what he does, does it anyway for teaching a lesson, mocking his prey and preparing them for the future. Either way, Reaver will go down in history as a dark force to be reckoned with, joking referred to as the immortal Jack the Ripper the 2nd

I like the idea of the crimson cardinal being indigenous (or as the americans call say, native american.) that wouldn't really affect much because i think it fits with the backstory and look that you already have for the character.

I think the last one with the crow fit the best

obv late but: As he was growing up a secret organization discovered he had powers, they trained him into a powerful killing machine and taught him to hone his powers, but in this facility there was one caretaker who was actually kind and secretly taught him proper morals and compassion. he had a small window in his cell and all he could see was the edge of a forest, with a cardinal nest in the nearest tree and hed love to look at them. seeing the freedom of the cardinals he decided to escape with his caretaker but she died in the process, then he goes on to try and take down the organization.

Dang, I wish i would have known about this... I had what i thought could be an intresting idea... The idea I came up with was that before gaining his abilities he lived in a low income household with his single mother and grandfather who was a wood carver, who would sell his art works out of his own home since he couldnt afford to by a place for his buisness. This home itself was also in a neighborhood prone to gang violence, which made buisness especially hard to come by... but atleast it kept the place cheap. When he was young, his grandfather gave him a special gift, a carving of a Northern Cardinal made out of cedar wood, which he tressured dearly as a child. He would take this carving everywhere he went, and loved showing to the other kids at his school. The boy had loved his family dearly, holding no distain toward any of them. However, his poor yet happy life would begin to take a turn at the age of 17, when his home would burn down due to gang violence in the area, resulting in them having nothing left, and no way of making the money they needed to repair the home. Because of this, the boy ended up going into a mysterious job, one that claimed to be run by the military and, although it was risky, would pay him well over the amount they needed to help his family. The boy agreed, only to find the situation to be far worse than he has expected. In truth, the event was not run by the military, but a foreign government attempting to create super soldiers. This group would end up being stopped by the actual military who grew suspicious after the disappearance of several citizens. Although the group were stopped, the son of the woodcarver would have already gone through much of the experiment, leaving him disfigured to the degree where the government, after saving him, could not figure out who he was, since the process left him with little memory and various identifying details disfugured (ex: fingerprints erased, reconstructed mouth and facial features). The only details that he had indicating who he was were the clothes he wore the day he was taken away, and a single carving of a cardinal. Not entirely sure of what to do, the boy decides to make the most of his situation, becoming the Crimson Cardinal to prevent others from facing the same injustice that he did, and hoped that if he had done this, he could one day find out who he was, and who it was that gave him the wooden cardinal. Extra info: specified he lost most of his memory since I do think that he would have some memory, just none that is helpful. But one this he does remember is how important the Cardinal Carving is to him, he just doesnt remeber why it was important, more specifically who gave it to him. Also, the assumtpion is that the screeching ability, and the martial arts he learned came from the experiment, with the loss of memory being partial due to them modifying his brain to teach him martial arts. Most of the other modifications, such as removing his finger prints, was done simply because the organization itself did not want anyone to find out who these people used to be. Also I know this is most certianly going to be ignored, I only wrote this because I had the thought and saw no reason to keep it to myself. However, if the person writting this series does find this, I enjoyed the video and am very intrestes in your series... this is the first video I have seen by you and I most certainly plan to see more. Thank you for the amazing video and I can't wait to see more!

You could do this: Include The one before your story and add this backstory for the name and the clash between the two brothers: While he was training with the clan he was always treated harshly. He was given a very small and dusty room which had a small crack in the ceiling. A cardinal would always come to him through the crack and CC (crimson cardinal) would feed him with the small amount of food he was given. One day, his brother saw the bird and killed it (without knowing how much his brother was fond of it) which causes the brothers to fight. And his brother at ths the end joins the clan as an act of revenge.

when your comic series becomes published imma start buying crimson cardinal comics as he may just turn out to be my favourite character, also i like the colour red.

I feel like he should have wings on his suit or as an actually ability because he has talons. That would also explain the sonic scream which I feel doesn't match his silent mysterious character, I think it should be more of a emmition of sound waves Edit: he does not need the wings for flight, btw, I just wanted to give my idea of him

It would be pretty funny if his originstoy points at the journey of a young boy, but it is later revealed to be a woman under the mask in wich the originstory turns and explains her story wich is connected to the one, that got told earlier and in this it comes clear the first origin story was the one from the main villain. So the readers would understand the main villain as much as the hero...
