Yea idk about going that far. They should at least keep the pillar flagship titles Halo, Gears, Forza and Fable etc., and whatever was multiplatform in the PS4/Xbox one era is okay like the Fallouts, CoD, Spyro and Crash and the like. But they really will kill the brand if they port over the main games that made them Xbox. Just like it wouldn't be right if Sony ports over Ratchet & Clank, Last of Us, God of War and the like (although unlikely). Then neither console would have an identity. They have to have some kind of heritage. I think at that point most people would just go the PC route next gen. All the games are going to PC this Gen and next anyway so it makes more sense logically.

Not saying it's not a possibility, but people are acting like it's already happening based off of nothing. Phil has come out and said that not everything will be on nintendo and PS. I think xbox should port some games over to maximize their revenue, but I also still agree that their has to be a healthy boundary of doing so.

@@spectrexr1 back when quantum break came out, the industry was different. It was all about exclusives and console sales, things are not like that anymore. You need to adapt to how the market shifts which is MS did, and what PS is currently doing. You can argue the pc move is what is helping both of these companies stay alive. Recently earlier this year after all the acquisitions, phill has gone on record of saying not all xbox games will be going to PS and/or Nintendo. I'm sure the games that were going to be multiplatform anyways will stay multiplatform, with exception of a few games like starfield. But there's a difference in those types of games as oppose to a game like gears or halo. And you say xbox doesn't care about their brand because of their multiplatform strategy, ima say the opposite. Multiplatform games are what typically make the most revenue. That's what you want in order for your company to flourish. That's what Sony is doing rn and has done in a few cases in the past. Like I said, the industry has changed, you can't expect sony and Microsoft to not adjust to the market and let their brands die, thats the true definition of not caring about your brand.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but It will happen. Xbox literally confirmed that they didn't wanna say no certain game would never go to ps5. I would advise you to start looking for a platform that better suits your needs. Luckily I already have a ps5 and switch, but PC is what I really want.

I lost all faith in Xbox as soon as Tango was shut down, sure Phil Spencer might have good intentions but if Tango isn't safe then alot of talent filled studios are almost definitely going to be shut down, I wouldn't be surprised if Undead labs gets shutdown before SoD3 comes out, the only studios I expect to be safe are Bethesda softworks and the primary COD studios anyone else is in danger even if they make a very successful game

@@apimb1396 it was one of the most pro ordered ps5 games this year, if they wanted sales then don't put games on game pass, they put it on game pass, they're responsible for lack of sales, Xbox and Microsoft caused all these issues, same with Arcane Austin who were forced to finish a game nobody wanted to work on and got shut down because of it even though Xbox were the ones who made the decision to make it when they asked to cancel it, and why are they so desperate for money? That Lego Horizon game for instance that's rumored to be in development should absolutely be multiplatform. Making it a PS exclusive makes little sense when there are very little kids (a.k.a. the target audience for this game) playing on PS5. At the very least, Sony needs to port the game to Switch in addition to Xbox if they want it to have a chance to expose the Horizon franchise to a younger audience.

People who aren't hard-core games probably will always play console so when they find out all games Xbox has will eventually be a PS as well and the console price is the same. So you make 70% on PlayStation sales for awhile. People who don’t have a console will just buy a PlayStation since everything goes there. At some point, there is no reason to make Xbox consoles since no one buys them. Then Microsoft loses game pass revenue, the 100% of sales of its own titles on its console, as well as the 30% of 3rd party sales.

Microsoft whats to see growth/more money. But its hard to see growth when all xbox has done is push gamepass for all their games and fails to market their games. Gamepass can't grow because Xbox has failed to make the console desirable, with no real exclusives or many well received games. Gamepass is bound to xbox and PC, but its also whats causing games to not sell on xbox. So Microsofts solution is to put all their games everywhere. so why would anyone limit their game availability on Xbox, when PC and ps5 get everything except for Nintendo games. While xbox will get money from ps5 users, gamers will just move to other platforms. In the long run xbox will lose users, 3rd party support, 30% split on sales, gamepass revenue, so xbox deciding to make a new console its irrelevant. The industry will just walk away from xbox.

You are correct, but the xbox console will just be obsolete. People that play games will migrate to platforms that give you better options and more games, so everything else but xbox. Sure some will stay and play stuff on gamepass, but from what I seen most people are planning to just move away from xbox to a better platform that supports a bigger library of games.

Agree with this. As playstation fan i would say bring it it will help balancing the power of pc and ps. However if I was still xbox fan I say keep that far away from playstation as you can and while you at it stop putting my games on pc day 1 as well. Perhaps it time for xbox to find a new mascot it worked for playstation once upon a time both crash and solid snake were ps mascots and now they have Astro and Kratos. Passion projects and creative games don't give Microsoft shareholders their boats, their million dollar houses, etc.. no marketing at the begging but many games like Palworld have dont amazing at very little marketing and just word of mouth , hi fi rush had gamepass tp thank for no one buying it , it didn't even sell all that well on playstation.
