needed more first party exclusives, too many games no one cared about, only had a few games of interest. needed big time games .

C. Spiderman was a given. The showcase had nearly 0 surprises and the CGI teasers didn't really portray the games well imo

@@thetrashcanman7537 we actually don't. I'm still waiting for Bloodborne and the New horizon and many others Sony exclusive games to come out on PC. There's not a single Microsoft game coming out on PC that I'm looking for because they don't have any games boss. Stop trying to make the two equivalent. Sony absolutely destroys Microsoft when it comes to games and I'm a Microsoft fanboy saying that. I've owned every Xbox except for the series versions and have always been jealous of the much better games that come out on PlayStation. Name a game equivalent to horizon zero Dawn that is an Xbox exclusive. I will wait. Bloodborne. I will wait. God of war. I will wait. At best they got Forza and that's really it. Most of the modern Halo games are laughable to me and gears got old to me very quickly. They just don't have anything meanwhile they are sitting on a bunch of spectacular IPs that haven't had new games in a long time. They are just an incompetent company ran by people who are clearly not gamers.

Xbox would have got roasted for having a show full of multiplates games. Luckily for us, they have a roadmap for the future.

To be fair sony often have great showcases. With alot of first party and gameplay.. + it has been a while.. and people are giving sony a hard time. So dont get it twisted. But we all know that sonys first party studios where missing here. So ofc everyone is confused. Are they going to show their game at another show this summer or do we have to wait for next year..

You got to remember though, Microsoft has 2 events so if they don’t show Perfect Dark for example, they gonna show it the next day with the showcase telling the update on game’s previously announced. They did this last time and they will do it again. Microsoft is in a great position to win the showcase. YES we need great competition! Like Kraven from Spiderman 2 said, “I am looking for someone that could beat me.” Just imagine Microsoft doing just that against Sony, which will force Sony’s hands 🙌 to do more and better.

@@alphaj9 LOL Microsoft will have a strong showcase because they have to this time. Phil Spencer already stated that all those games including Perfect Dark will be in the 2 day showcase. Microsoft this going to turn itself around Fall 2023 and 2024 which is the true year for Series X to strike back. We need good competition so innovation is forced on both companies to do better and better!

Would not say that there was some positives the first is they came out first meaning if xbox shows any of these again then it will be old news. It may not have hit well for the die hards but for the casuals it was a win. There was something for everyone and they still have summer game fest to show more titles if xbox actually shows up at their showcase.

The PS5 has around 20 million more units sold than the Series X, this year Series X was down 30% in terms unit sales and Microsoft now want their Xbox titles to be on G-FORCE NOW and Boosteroid because games barely sells on Xbox consoles. Sonys main game platform has been PlayStation since 1994 and it still is in 2023 while Microsoft is treating their console players as second class citizens. Microsoft’s strategy is a sign of desperation to grow a bigger player base and not because they “care” about the gaming community. Even Phil Spencer himself said on Xcast that it’s a struggle to be at third place every generation.

I guess you’d have to say that’s still true since this showcase was 90+% multiplat or 3rd party. Shame too because they have some bangers on the system.
