What would you rate the Xbox Games Showcase?

9.5/10 for me, Atlus (and SEGA) really did it for me. With Fable, South of Midnight, and Clockwork Revolution solidifying my rating an Starfield took me hooome.

10/10 Starfield looks insane

The showcase was absolutely amazing. And for Starfield to then come out to deliver the way it did speaks volumes of how amazing it is. Xbox is BACK!

Sony fanboys in the stables right now trying to think of some damage control

Already seeing a lot of haters, especially on IGN's comment sections, coping by calling the showcase trash or saying that all the games they showed looked awful. Absolutely hilarious. That showcase was incredible and is honestly Xbox's version of Sony's E3 2015/16. Xbox delivered and then some. Unless you hate both Western RPGs and JRPGs, calling this showcase mediocre or bad is definitely being disingenuous. The Xbox show made Summer Games Fest and especially the PlayStation showcase look like nothing in comparison.

Overall a 9/10 showcase, but I'm disappointed in Hellblade 2, they should have shown more combat focused gameplay. Other than that a very solid showing.

Todd Howard pulled out the Game of the Generation not only GOTY, what we saw, the level of depth, the visuals, the skill tree, the dialogue, the total immersion is so far ahead of any PS exclusive past present and future. It’s like comparing a Nolan movie to a Marvel movie, levels and I mean levels higher a total non comparison and then when your factor in what the modders are going to achieve with this game oh my oh my oh my

It was a really good showcase and on top of that Starfield looks INSANE. For me it was a 8.5/9, the only thing was that I wished we got just a tad bit more of Fable & Hellblade 2

Have you played the first game of Hell-Blade? That game isn't about combat. It's a story driven puzzle game.

10/10 just for Starfield alone...tried to preorder the Collectors edition..and it was sold out..Starfield looks like it will steal your life..and you will love it.. Another game of the gen title for Bethesda..one of those games that will consume you..... 😂😂Starfield is nuts..they did a 50 minute deep dive..and it still felt like they only scratched the surface....very few games can do that.

Avowed is exactly what I wanted. Reminded me of Oblivion. Also the Monkey island expansion is going to get my wife back into SoT with me. Fable looked insane !

I will say the showcase is A+. However, now Xbox HAS to deliver. I love my Xbox and all the memories I've had with the console family, but I need Xbox to pull through.

One of the best showcases ever 9.5 out of 10

One of the underrated elements of the show, and something which contrasts hugely with the Sony showcase, is the amount of new IPs and the variability within those. While Sony continues down the road of milking their franchises for all they're worth, or third party gating popular franchises, Xbox is trying stuff. New stuff.

10/10 5 points go to simply being better than the PlayStation showcase. This show absolutely delivered we have a better roadmap seen every game in engine and got a lot of gamepass announcements as well as some much needed new marketing from Xbox. There should be no reason any Xbox fan should be upset not only due to how great Xbox is doing but because the competition ain’t much better. If you not satisfied now you never was and never will be and that’s a personal problem

Finding out afterwards Starfield doesn't have a performance mode was a bit of a letdown...30 fps stinks. But it definitely was a great showcase.

Enjoyed the show overall. The Star Wars Outlaws game was my favorite of the show. Looking forward to Avowed also but come September 1st I’ll be immersing myself In Starfield. Already purchased the Starfield Xbox controller.

I was thinking 2018 also. Biggest difference is this was just pure game reveals. It was fantastic. Starfield is so much game. Holy crap that's a lot of game. If it runs solid, TotK has a huge challenge for GotY. I'm gonna be playing it in my 60's.

Wish we saw more game play from the first party games but over all it still was a good show case

I think I made the best choice when picking up Series X instead of PS5 this gen. I've been playing PS consoles (PS3, PS4, PSP, Vita) because of Persona games, thought that I need to get PS5 sometime later if next Persona games to be announced. But P3 remake and P5 tactic including new IP from Persona maker announced first time on Xbox showcase got my jaw dropped while watching the stream especially with them announced to be released day one on Game Pass!

9/10 minimum for me. Gears would have put them over the top. Very hard to not walk away from this one happy. I totally get why if they are not ready to show that one off. Clockwork Revolution, Avowed, Fable, and so many others to be excited about.

It's the best Xbox showcase, i've seen for quite a few years. Starfield Collectors edition already pre ordered, 1st September can't come soon enough. I was really impressed, after years of somewhat lacklustre shows.

This was an absolute banger of a showcase. I think people will be disappointed in Starfield if they’re expecting it to be jam-packed to the brim with content, but if you go in with an open mind you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Yea it was a pretty good showcase and direct. A-.😁😁😁 But I would of loved some talk about Indiana Jones, Wolfenstein 3, Perfect Dark and yea Silksong. Also hopefully we see ids next game at QuakeCon in August.

I loved the show, 9/10! I did not except to see that much of Fable and was not concerned when it did not show combat. However, my one disappointment would be Hellblade 2. I have no doubt this is a beautiful game but my greatest concerns was the game play. I wanted to see improvements because that is what let Hellblade down in the last game. Starfield was the game that stole my heart. Bethesda makes some of the best immersive experiences of my gaming life. I have seen the passion for this game for years now and I am so excited my faith in Bethesda has payed off in spades. I haven’t played the game and I already know this will be my game of the year!

A very good showing. Solid 8/10 some games were missing like Indiana Jones, Wolfenstein 3, Everwild and the likes of Stalker 2 and State of Decay 3. But some of these could be set for 2024/2025.

Starfield looks absolutely incredible. The rest of the show was very solid. Would have liked more from Hellblade II including an early 2024 release date, but there was a lot to be excited for. Seems like we finally have a decent idea of the roadmap for Xbox for the next couple years.

Was a great show. I found the Sony one mideocre at best. Luckily with 12 games that will also come to xbox 😅 Summerfest ... a tat better. But also with some multiplatformers. And xbox had a show with games that weren't seen at any of the 2 mentioned shows. So including the xbox exclusives, gamepass ones and the other not mentioned, but that we know off ... the xbox future look bright. Not that i ever doubted, but still ... good to know. All in all .. the Xbox show was the best so far this year.

Best showcase in a long while. I couldn't even remember when they had the last good one to be honest. I don't think every game they showed is for me but those that do really piqued my interest. I wasn't really interested with Starfield but after the showcase, I can see myself getting playing it for countless hours. Day 1 purchase? Nah, but probably months after it's patched.

I kinda wanted to see more gameplay segments as opposed to in engine stuff for the Xbox showcase, but starfield had the best game deep dive I've ever seen so I'd say 9/10 if were grading them both together.

I give the Xbox Show case a 10/10 A+ - Easily one of my favorite showings from Xbox. I watched it twice in 4K 60fps. Xbox actually streamed it in 4K which was great!! Much better then the 1080p streams. I enjoyed every game they showed. And pretty much every game said day one on Game Pass. Then finally they end it with a 45 minute Starfield direct… That game looked amazing!! Honestly if Xbox did every showcase coupled with one of their big game directs at the end… man that would be the best!! What a way to close out a showcase! A+ from me Cheers 🍻

Obsidian was not going for a "brighter Skyrim". Avowed is based in the Pillars of Eternity world. It is set in a place called The Living Lands. It is a kind of a frontier of that world. That place is said to have many exotic and colorful vegetation as well as fauna. It should look the way it does. It's not due to Obsidian "always making bright games" or wanting to make a "brighter Skyrim". The setting was already established long before from their past titles.

They didn't kill it they showed stuff that was leaked and hinted at 🤷 no date for Fable, 2024 for avowed and many others, October 10th release of Forza bad month to bring that out plus we should already have it🤷. I feel the Xbox fanboys were happy but those of us with level heads are still saying look we are waiting for Avowed, Hellblade 2, fable ect. Still waiting will they come out next year find out on the new adventures of the Xbox platform 🤷.

Fable's trailer actually has me a little worried about the direction of the game. The Star Wars Outlaws trailer was a disappointment for me. Starfield is going to be amazing!

If the job of the showcase was to get me excited for the near future than they 100% succeeded. I saw a ton of games I was interested in and while I didn't get as much gameplay as I'd like, they definitely got me sold on these games. I saw an incredible amount of games that are going to be on Game pass. I saw a couple games I had no idea we're coming and now I'm excited for them too. The games I'm not that interested in I just overlook. I don't really take points off because I'm not the only gamer in the world. Other people love different things. They're not just catering to me. But Starfield..!! I'm sure a lot of the Xbox fans bemoaning the fact that it's going to be 30 frames a second are still going to play it. And I'm sure that a lot of the Sony fans who are pointing and laughing saying hahaha that games at 30 frames a second are going to be very jealous about not being able to play it. It looks like a generational game. It makes Skyrim look like Pac-Man.

Fable for me was what I was waiting for!! While I do love the look of Starfield, I just wish we got confirmation about whether we get a buggy or something to drive across the planets. Maybe even let us use our ships to fly across the surface. I don't want to walk everywhere... Especially if each of these planets are supposed to be massive! South of Midnight looks interesting I really like the visuals they went for. Also, Jusant is a lovely looking game and it plays well too. I got to play it yesterday and the gameplay mechanics are great, they just need to be a bit more refined, which will probably happen before launch.

I was not interested in Star Field at all until yesterday. Game looks epic.

I'm going to watch it again in 4K when I get home. Had to watch it on my phone for now.

It was way better than the PS showcase, MS showed a lot of 1st party games compared to Sony which only really showed Spiderman 2 at their event. Though its funny how the haters were like "Xbox has no games" to "well i dont like those games anyways" lol.

Super positive, great show, great presentation. Nothing can ever be perfect in a show like these because it has to cater to a wide audience and everyone has different tastes. My only disappointment in what was shown was the lack of Hellblade 2 combat. I think early 2024 is unrealistic for that game and I expect it June earliest, maybe all the way to September. Avowed seemed closer than Hellbalde.
