I own both a PS5 and Series X and I play on my Xbox more due to FPS and backwards compatibility. Having the option to play last gen games optimized and in some cases as good as remastered versions is always a great option to have.

The games aren’t optimised for Xbox Series X and according to developers it needs an update to use its full capabilities. We might get to see 60 fps ray tracing in the future.

Halo infinite runs 120fps with raytracing on. It dips a little to 110.

Yes but no, this Gen isn't ready for it.. like a very budget version in comparison for what it is truly.. like comparing a 300 dollar hdr TV to 1200 dollar TV that has hdr... sure in practice it can do it but not without cost and even then ray tracing kind of minimum in comparison.. True ray tracing is on pc...

The big surprise improvement for me was Fortnite. Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone also got a major boost. 4k 120hz is a total game changer. The fact that the series x adds HDR to SDR games all on it's own with pretty good results so far is a nice touch too.

Umm.. call of duty doesn't play in 4k at 120. Funny enough they never patch its (warzone)Lol Just runs 120 at xbox one x settings. Though I can't remember if it drops to 1080p or not when doing so. I know on Playstation it does. Vanguard is the same it dips it res and overall graphic settings way down when playing 120 mode. Personally I wouldn't game on 120 unless you play in a competitive setting as the drop in quality quite high. You are just playing in base versions of the ps4/xbox one

Though recommendants here never sacrifice native res for fps online. Because then you are getting a much much blurry image drop. Not just cause it's lower res but if you game on a unnative screen so 1440p to 1080p it will look even worse because it will upscale it by stretching the image out. Kinda comparable to taking a pic on ur phone the zooming in heavily. Closer you look less sharp it looks.

Add the first Dying Light to this list now too. Can't believe how smooth it plays on Series X. The recent 60FPS treatment really makes it feel like a completely new game. 3 different choices are now included in the menu under 'video' options

Well that's just a res bump and fps boost. Doesn't add anything else. Nice of them to do but it was a lazy port.. for what they did could've been native 4k at 60..

@@MaxPowerPlay I remember when the consoles launched and people were claiming the Series consoles had no true next gen experience, where playstation had the Demons Souls remake etc. Halo Master Chief collection at 120fps 4k,hdr and vrr is without a question a next-gen experience in my eyes.

@@saltysquid386 Playing MCC at 120 fps, at 4k with HDR and VRR was possible on xbox one? It's the entire package that felt next gen to me. I played Demons Souls way back in the day on the PS3, the PS5 remake is a beautiful game without question but in many ways it is the same situation as MCC. An older game remade to run on a modern machine that would never have been possible on the original hardware. Demons Souls looks a lot better than MCC but in a shooter I will take framerate over visuals every time. So like I said, in my eyes, playing MCC at those settings feels 'next gen' because it is something simply not possible on previous hardware.

I really wish Cyberpunk 2077 offered a 60 fps mode on Xbox Series S. Thats my only disappointment with the system is that even on supposed 'Series X/S enhanced' titles, some still refuse to offer a 60 fps mode. This happened with Assasins Creed Valhalla too at release but thankfully it was patched a couple weeks later with 60 fps option.

My series X just came today and the first game I installed was Fh5. I'm coming from a base Xbox one lol so just the load times are enough to brick me up. Just the smoothness of everything is so amazing tho. I almost feel like the cars handle more realistically, but I also notice more Input lag because I'm literally seeing more frames. Might have to try a wired controller and see how it plays then.

Set your TV to game or PC mode to reduce the response time of the panel. I use a wired official Xbox 360 controller to play FH5 on my PC on Game Pass, IMO wired controllers are faster.

@@Rickyfffff It's actually been in game mode. But honestly for like 3-4 months I had it plugged into HDMI 2 on my TV. Well, only one HDMI port has HDR support and it was set to HDMI 1 lol. So I'm just now using that and it's only because I moved. Tbh tho I feel like it looks better without game mode. It just doesn't run as smooth.

FPS over resolution anytime. I've a 4K TV, I can't tell the difference between 4K and 1080p when more then a metre away. I honestly think 4k, when it comes to consoles is there because 3D never took off, and industry needed an upgrade.

I have a Xbox Series X and a PC. I play most of my games on the Series X because of quick resume and Dolby Vision. Some games I want to play on PC for true 4k resolution and higher settings giving the game a crisper look. I got a gtx 1080 ti though, so no ray tracing on my PC.

I have an expensive 8k tv and resolution doesn’t meant shit if the texture shadows and draw distances aren’t designed well and optimized to run at stable 60-120 whilst 30 is just not acceptable… that’s why most Japanese games used to shit on most western games cause they always focused on style and performance instead of resolution and story.

All is console players have wanted the solid 60FPS for years & finally now we have it…. 120 is a bonus but not really necessary… 4K 60 or 1440p 120 is a big leap for consoles… as for 4K 120 you’ll need a pretty expensive tv or monitor for the HDMI 2.1.

You should now that many vegetation increasing mods (Especially grass) messes with the stability of Skyrims 60 fps. Even simpler mods like "dense grass" messes with the frames. You should also know that the anniversary upgrade with the 60 frames is better than the uncap fps mod, because it added dynamic resolution and this helps alot. You may see a few drops here and there in large populated cities. But Skyrim has never been better on console. I run the flora overhaul and no grass mods. Because I value gameplay and enemies, detail and bodies to loot tend to vanish in high grass. Each to their own ❤ ofc.

@@liquidsunshine697 I don't like how metro did it tbh... it gets praise for hitting a "4k" ray tracing at 60 fps but it gave up alot to reach it... It really averages out less then 4k most the time so around 1440p and texture details amoung others were around medium high settings.. Personally I think 1440p at high to max settings at 60fps no ray tracing and upscale from 1440p to hit 4k would be better approach

@@forresttilghman1098 it averages on XSX 1620 or something close. It looks absolutely fantastic. And what did they sacrifice? The RTGI is far more enriching to the game world than vs solid 2160p output. And RT reflections. It's night and day difference on an OLED TV. I have the PC version

@@liquidsunshine697 on consoles it uses lower graphical settings to hit that... again ray tracing is amoung the best explains of it but it looks very blurry.. There also lots of low res textures in the game across the board...pop ins too. . If you know what to look for and compared it side by side you'll see a big difference if you can run the game at max settings on pc at 1440p alone to the console version

The systems are more than adequate with good game control it's called video games for a reason not Braille video games we want clarity we want the best Clarity we can get and the games an the systems are fine if you like 60 frames that's good but don't be bias everything is not a rush we like what we like but if the systems offer both 60 frames or 30 with beautiful clarity let it be. your preference may not suit everyone and as I said before it's called video games it's not made in Braille best 4K TV best Console an play .

@@Rickyfffff Ah, ok now I get it! I've played games in the past at 30 FPS and never thought about it, as it was ok for me. The graphic presentation is what disappointed me though, as I expected a huge leap in game graphics though.

there isn't in terms of graphics, but resolution wise only the Series X runs games in native 4k. the One X enhanced games up to 4k, but i have found some games weren't meant to run at 4k. it's only the games that were enhanced on One X will run in native 4k on the Series X, other games just get a slight performance increase.

"higher FPS better than shorter loading time"... Clearly, you don't have a job... The previous gen used to take up to 6 minutes to get a game truly going. That's a fifth of my daily gaming gone, just looking at loading screens... Time Splitters games on the XSX have loading screens lasting 0.5 seconds... And I get to shoot people roughly 40 seconds after turning the console on... Games could be 3000 fps and I wouldn't care if I can't be arsed to turn the damn console on to begin with. Before buying the XSX, I literally hadn't touch my X1X for years, that's how unacceptable loading times were. I literally paid £450 to play goldeneye, perfect dark, wolfenstein 3D and Time Splitters 2 & 3 ^-^ All games I had on X1X, that's how valuable my time is. Have some self respect FFS.

I don’t know anyone with a series X and you can’t buy one. Merica 🤦♂️ I had to get a series S, coming from having the Xbox one X already I am currently disappointed. Thank God I didn’t sell my Xbox one X I’m running other consoles through it to my 1440 P monitor. God is great and I’m so glad he told me not to trade ❤️🙏🏆💫

The One X will give you great visuals and high resolutions but struggles with performance. The Series S will give that to you more and will increase over time
