Hellblade 2 is my first Ninja Theory game, and it's amazing. The combat is smooth and fluid. The visuals are beautiful on my XSX. I'm pleased with it, and I wouldn't have even batted an eye at it if it wasn't for Gamepass.

I don't get how so many people can say Hell Blade 2 is an amazing "Experience" but still hate the game. Any other game with this type of polish, graphic fidelity and bug free experience would be celebrated. Not to mention it was made with a "small" budget and team of only 50 people. This is the blueprint to how to deliver more AAA Games. And it's also funny people used to use the word "Experience" in glow about games, but for HB2 suddenly it's bad.

I don't believe most media outlets, especially now that Ign owns more of them now. The game is amazing, I'm enjoying each portion I carve out for myself. For the people who get bored quick, I don't know what to tell you. This isn't an over the top action game w/ constant combat. But bulls saying it's boring it's weird to me.

No. This game is made for Xbox and Windows PC which have direct X 12 built in. If you have windows, check your drivers and version may need an update or not have the right direct X generation.

PC already allows Xbox on its platform, Geforce Now gives gamers access to Xbox and PC games. The Xbox store is simply incapable of competing with Steam on price or quality, I still don't have a single digital Xbox game and I've had Geforce Now for years. Sony and Xbox only win on PC when they put their games on Steam, neither company wants to give Steam a cut so they put games on Steam slowly, when Sony and Xbox sell games themselves they charge too much.

Halo was KILLED because it didn't have new content right away. But a Sony Game says it'll be awhile, no one cares. They hypocrisy is maddening. And I'm primarily a PS Gamer. People were trashing Halo Infinite for not having content updates 2 months after the game released. Who cares if it released right before Thanksgiving and Xmas holidays.

Halo infinite launched with no campaign, no coop, no ranked slayer, very limited game modes, and microtransactions out the ass day one. On top of two other halos which compared to the others weren’t very good to begin with. Let’s not act like they were equal to begin with. How much is it to buy the infinite campaign? 50% more than helldivers 2. Some of these arguments are so stupid and jaded. Looking at it from pc it’s not a real shocker. Microsoft doesn’t hold quality as their highest regard and sometimes don’t care about that aspect AT ALL, that’s one of their biggest issues. Until they address it, it’s not going to change. People (including myself) won’t preorder Microsoft games, I don’t even buy them at full price which I will do both on Nintendo.

I disagree with your wording about xbox don't care where you play it. It is more financially sound for xbox if you play on xbox as then you might buy other games on that platform there by making them more money. That being said the data they can obtain could help them dial down on user likes and dislike so I can see why they would want you in their system it no different then ubi connect, or ea account unless it like Just cause 3 and bugs out every few minutes causing you to wait to reconnect.

@@C2DD the also closed 4 studios and sold a vr headset that cost more than the console and completely abandoned it and wasted hundreds of millions of dollars on failed live service games while having nothing to release until mid 2025... they've admitted their business model is unsustainable so their splitting Spiderman 3 into 2 parts so they can charge 140 for a 12 hour game they've also said their customers aren't enough to continue and are porting everything to pc... they bought bungie for 4 billion and are losing millions because bungie is no longer profitable they also lost 10 billion in market value overnight last month and stole money from their customers by removing digital content they purchased... like I said they're just as big of a shitshow and just as bad as Xbox but the media doesn't spend all day everyday talking about it... I'd argue they're worse because they have far more customers to screw over

Lmao this comment isn't gonna age well when Helldivers 2 comes to Xbox and Switch 2 in a few years. Not to mention the fact that Sony already releases games on rival consoles, forgot about Destiny 2, Marathon, and MLB The Show already? Sony's CEO himself said, when acquiring Bungie, that this acquisition would be the first step in transitioning PlayStation into more of a "multiplatform business." Those are his words, not mine. Meanwhile, within the next 10 years, Nintendo will almost certainly start porting their games to PC due to inflating development costs on more powerful Switch 2 hardware. Though it'll probably be in a Nintendo PC launcher instead of Steam because Nintendo is stupid like that.

Im thinking about leaving Xbox platform to PS5 if MS don't start making more 3rd person realistic art style action adventure games. Gears of War and Hellblade 2 is not enough. They don't come out often enough. MS was doing ok when they were releasing Gears, Ryse and Quantum Break , i thought they were getting on a roll and then they stopped. It's their biggest weak spot and i been waiting years for them to address it. They have all those studios and majority of them are working on fantasy shooters, cartoony game or RPGs. Only games i see in the pipeline are Contraband and Gears of War 6 and it's simply not enough for my taste of games. I'm going to watch the summer showcase and see if the future is brighter for me. But PS5 is looking good with Death Stranding 2, Wolverine, Spiderman, Ghost of Tsushima 2 etc... that we know is coming.

Xbox isn't the console for you. You are into a less challenging genre of games so PS is def your console. 90% of their games hold your hand. Maybe when you get older, you'll come back to Xbox.

Unfortunately, you are right. I spent a lot of money on Xbox and all the extras (steering wheels, volant, pad, extra disk, etc.) but the hope that Microsoft will release interesting, polished AAA games has died. It's getting harder and harder to find friends who own Xbox. 2023 gave hope and 2024 completely took away hope. Too many years of waiting that Microsoft will do something positive for gamers and not just make money. I will not sell the console Xbox X. I have some purchased games, but Game Pass subscription I canceled. The next console will definitely not be an Xbox. Overall worldwide sales of the Xbox console show how Microsoft has been killing the system since the Xbox360.

It's your taste, but it's kinda stupid. All the games you mentioned are a year or more out and mostly running on last gen engines retrofit for ps5. Most new Xbox games like hellblade 2 are being built in UE5 or ground up engines outside of Bethesda.

@@jrican7581 has nothing to do with holding your hand. MS just keeps getting studios that don't have the talent or that don't want to make those kind of games. Even 3rd party studios had to make Ryse and Quantum Break for MS, Avalanche is making Contraband. The Coalition is really MS's only studio with the skills and desire. And Gears helped propel Xbox 360 , people want those kind of games on Xbox but MS is starving us. I hope the new Elesewhere studio is making a 3rd person AAA but i have a feeling it's 1st person.

I'm actually shocked at how bad Hellblade 2 is. And this is coming from someone who LOVED the original. Combat is way more awkward this time, and the pacing is atrocious. And big note to game devs: Repeatedly forcing players to move extremely slowly through constricted areas is about as enjoyable as root canal.

@@ekaaaaaans The combat is very easy and is much better than the last one. Attack and Kill animations look great. Sorry it's not just mash "X" and be done. Timing is needed and your heavy attacks break their guard. You're getting grabbed too much probably because they're parrying your light attack or breaking your guard.

Anytime you have to explain why a game is good amidst negative reactions to said game... the game is not good. Hellblade 2 is a glorified tech demo. Honestly, it's not a game, it's a walkthrough. It's interactions are very limited which makes it a boring game. Why not just mail everyone who bought the game some weed to enhance the 'experience' maybe more people would like it. So glad it's on GamePass, would be very upset if I paid full price.

All the people who don't like hellblade 1 & 2 are PlayStation fans. So if any game doesn't play like the PlayStation exclusive, it's a shit game.
