I bought Starfield on Steam just for the modding, but I have played the game almost exclusively on the Series X. With mod support coming to the console, I will definitely check it out and gladly pay for some good mods. Especially if it saves me from having to juggle and maintain the mods I install on my PC. Now that I think about it, would that work the same way if I installed Starfield through the Xbox app on my PC? I never messed with the mod support for Skyrim or Fallout for the console, so I'm not sure. I guess what I'm getting at is that I want an easy way to install and maintain mods without a lot of fuss and have the storage space I have on my PC.

There's been a few stories now about 6 dollar add on quests coming from modders

But it sounds like he didn't like the initial script, so they had to take time redoing it, and in all the frustration around how long it's all taking he's exited the project. Same for the director I imagine and I think that one is confirmed. I think it's all just come at bad timing. Pre Endgame Marvel would have gotten it done, but they've been aimless since, and with Disney plus costing them alot more than Disney expected and not making what they'd hoped/plus a few films tanking HARD, I just don't think Marvel have the support to get it done the way they used to.

Micorsoft owns Radical Entertainment ( They made Prototype 1 & 2 ), have Microsoft do a deal with MARVEL to make it happen. The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction 2 co-op featuring The Abomination & Red Hulk. That would be so dope.

Steam has well over 300 million (registered) users. Some have it north of 450 million users. How active they are is the only question. Just like it is for consoles. Just because there are 120+ million Switches bought doesn't mean people still use them regularly or at all. Same with Xbox and PS. As for the 33 million statistic you use. That is not the number of total users. That is the peak user number for Steam. In other words, that statistic is the highest number players concurrently (at one exact moment in time) on Steam. Consoles don't have those type of numbers. On average daily user number is 64 million users per day for Steam. 33 million is not the even the MAU (monthly actively users) statistic that Sony and Microsoft use. MAU is how many unique users logged into an ecosystem over a month. Sony touts this last year it had a high 118 million users for one month (118 million unique PSN accounts logged in one month). That again is not the PS average but highest monthly user numbers. Sony's MAUs are on average (a number they don't share) are lower. Sony numbers have been increasing thanks to their increasing their growing PC support and one reason why they want PC users to use a PSN account for their PC games. Comparatively Microsoft realized even better numbers then Sony because of better PC support in addition to consoles where their high for the same year was 200 million in one month and they had an average of over 120 million MAUs that outstrips Sony's high. Using Steams MAU right away disproves 31 million you use as the total users it has. Steam has slightly higher numbers then both consoles with 121 million MAUs on average. Neither of these numbers: the peak number or that MAUs tells you how many total members are registered on Steam. You can't be assuming 33 million concurrently playing at 11am on Saturday on Steam means how many users there on Steam (but for some reason you do). Or conversely using how many PS4+PS5 consoles sold to really tell us is how many actually playing games on that console platform; especially as we know many millions of those consoles sit there collecting dust after being bought. Valve is the most dominate player in PC gaming sales. But it is still one of dozens of ways to buy PC gaming software digitally from similar online PC gaming plats (not including digitally at stores like Amazon) as opposed to the one and only way to buy games digitally on PS. (** Xbox and Switch are different since unlike PS they allow digital codes to be sold by third-party stores) As for revenue, I don't know what revenue has to do with proving anything. At least as you present it. Revenue is not profits or a breakdown of how that revenue is actually earned. If you look at 24 billion in Sony gaming revenue you cannot say that was software only. Sony PS revenue around 40% is hardware. That is billions of revenues that doesn't give Sony a dime in profits and may actually cost them billions in profits with potential right offs (i.e.. PSVR2). PS revenue is also heavily based in services (i.e. PSN online play and PS+ Premium). As for comparing unit sales. Sony in 2023 had around 80-million-unit sales in software sold for the year. By comparison Steam well outsells PS and Xbox combined in unit numbers. It is not even close. In that same period Steam had 400 million units sold. The fact is revenue does not tell you how many units were sold. And we know Valve often sell software at lower rates compared to consoles (ie less revenue per unit). Valve and other PC gaming stories sell software with often much better deals. And PC isn't selling games starting at $70/game like consoles do. Even Sony sells (MSRP) their ported games for less on Steam then they do on their PS. So again, using revenue misses the mark without breaking down how that revenue is built. Edit: you used 31 million, but I use the most recent high value 33 million concurrent users.

Definitely a shame last place Sony is only getting a couple legacy games and for $100 a pop instead of Gamepass.

It has this whole gen. PS 2 and PS4 they were untouchable. I have been an Xbox main since the 360, but have owned every PS since the og. So far this gen sony has not given me any reason to purchase a ps5. The toxicity of ponies and YT griftees has only made me less interested. Looking to upgrade my gaming pc this year, so I may skip sony console this gen.
