I love this gun. Got it in 9mm, 10mm and .45acp. 10mm is my favorite.

PSA was running these on a ridiculous clearance price a few weeks back and I’m kicking myself for not getting one. The 10mm version is fantastic too. People make hating on the XD platform a meme but folks that actually own them can see they are a great, reliable platform that brings a lot to the table for the price. I think the 3.8 compact is the perfect sweet spot for size and extended mags with the integrated grip sleeve provides a ton of versatility.

I bought the XDM Elite Compact 10mm back in January and it quickly became my EDC. Springfield ended production of the 9mm and .45 several months ago and cut the prices on them a bunch. I bought the .45 from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore a few months ago for $359.99.

The Springfield XD series are some of the most criminally underrated pistols out there.

I like my XDS 9 Mod 2 so well that I just ordered this XDM Elite OSP 45. I'm a big fan of grip safeties so naturally I have a 1911 45. It was between this and the Rock Island Armory BBR 3.10 in 45 ACP, but the Springfield came in at $100 less.

I got mine for $360. This gun is awesome. I've run all sorts of ammo about 600 rounds. No problems. The recoil is not bad. It feels like the same as my full size Glock 21. Get this gun. It's awesome. Very versatile. Can use as conceal carry or sidearm. For the money, I don't think there is a better gun in 45 acp. Plus you can get 13 round mags for it. This gun is not heavy too. Forget Glock. This is where it's at.

I I didn't her you comment on the ability to take the 13 round mags. Those replacement back straps ( that you briefly picked up) are numbered I, II & III. They correspond with the sleeves for the 13 round mags. For example if your using the mumber ( II) Backstrap then you would order the number ( II) sleeve for your 13 round magazine. The magazine flare has to be removed first. By using the mag sleeve you get a full size pistol grip and 14 round capacity. I ha e the same pistol and like yourself am debating putting a optic in it. I was surprised at how accurate the stocked sights are. I was making head shots from 25 yards all day long. Great pistol ! I plan on replacing my Glock 30 FS with it at some point. 14 rounds of .45 acp is plenty for my needs. Thanks for review

Bought the 10mm version and I love it. I don't know why everyone pissin' and moanin' about the mag well and the grip safety. Both are none issues as far as I'm concerned.

I have been shooting my Glock 29 Gen 3 for many years. In my opinion, it is quiet difficult to get the best out of the 10MM in a compact. You need a full grip to fully control the recoil. However, if you can manage 10MM you will be able to readily control 9MM and .45ACP ( or .45Super). Remember, that it is easy to secure 9MM and .45ACP anywhere on the planet for an affordable price. 10MM is harder to find and pricier. Finally, I use.460 Rowland ammo in my Glock 30 Gen 3 to "get the punk out of my heart and the koolaid out of my arteries." If a dragon, an alien, or zombie tries to conduct a home invasion I can hold it off until I secure my M4A3. Great video. Continue to share.
