wow thats taking me back to my younger days when these were all over melbourne as Taxis ,you could buy a ex taxi for spare change as they swapped over to XFs,then the fun happened ,351 top loader 9 out back lowering blocks out back or cut rear springs if its an E model ,weekend swinging spanners with a few boys and youve got a streeter ready for Dandy drags ,awesome car mate i fkn dig it

Dad had an XE, exactly the same colour. Great car. Sort of funny story, dad had fitted those plastic headlight protectors. They were $60 the pair. One time I was driving the car I hit a magpie and broke one of the covers. I had to order a new pair. So obviously, when there was no protection a truck threw up a rock and cracked the headlight lens. So I had to buy a new lens too! The price was a surprise though. $7! So we had $60 bits of plastic protecting $7 glass lenses! Sometimes Ford parts prices were a pleasant surprise. I remember getting a new driver's door glass for my V6 Capri, brand new for $13. The wreckers wanted $25 for a second hand one!

Love the fat aquarium shape of the XD, XE. The XF front and rear no please but can obviously be changed up. We use to call them a XD update. Putting XD front and rear on a XF.

Thank God the brakes work hahaha! Love the XEs and XDs. Recently got a 250 XD back on the road and will be going the same way as you have engine-wise in the near future.

this is the worst sounding 351 cleveland on you tube lol , it sounds thin , must be very factory cant hear any steel , it just goes brdrdrdrdrd!! and does a skid lol pffffff my one pops rear tyres in under a minute

I custom made it, inch and 7/8 pace makers to a twin 3 inch system with a cross over and high flow muffler on each side at the back

@@aaronjonthedon the amount of crossflows ive thrown out and replaced with a clevo must be near 35 to 40 id say ,we all loved these xd xe falcons ,ive got 4 brothers and i threw a windsor into a xd and it looked odd at first but that lil 289 had a shit load of work ex Haddad motor ,it flew and sounded so good revvin at 6800 with 411s out back

take the comp cam out and sell it and get a 400 cam and solid lifters plus performance pistons square bore performer manifold youre headers 2 and quarter inch exhaust finish that engine you have doesnt sound any depth sounds tangy and tinnie , serch ford 351 cleveland wotkwd starts up and revs rimas nobody elses listen to the sounds my engine makes the depth in the note is because of the cam

I have one with exactly those mods and I almost killed myself. It was the worst setup I ever had. I actually swapped the motor out for a 13b i was so unhappy with it.

@@matthewsmyk9091 13b?????? the 351 cleveland is much better than any 13 b rubbish , theres nothing wrong with the engine its the exhaust system that doesnt allow much depth that is a small issue , its all preference , if he likes the sound of crap because of thin exhaust note thats up to him, also i have smoked plenty of 13b or any b in my falcon that has a modified 351 cleveland in it , ive never had it at full revs ever because its too high reving and seriously frieghtning , 250 kph was as fast as i wanted to go even though there was plenty more pedal
