There's one more type I'd categorize as the "special case" runes. They usually look like trash for other uses, but work exceptionally well with certain monsters. Copper/Dozer, Rina, MoLong/Skogul, Leo, etc. are good examples of mons that work with special case runes. Mons given turns by Imesity, Olivia, Racuni, and etc don't need speed. It's a Snipe team that doesn't require Snipe runes on the damager dealer. Mons like Skogul/Molong are bruisers but don't need crit rate or crit damage to do large attacks. They look like support mons builds otherwise, but often trade speed for extra tankiness. Rina is just a pure HP tank with high resistance and some defense. She's best when she has no speed at all and she make garbage runes look like gold. Leo runes have as little speed as possible and use the passive to gain attack stats. I guess you could condense this down to how well you know the monster collection in SW. For example, I'd normally throw away a slot four Defense rune with crit rate and crit damage - unless I knew about mons like Taranys. A slot six Attack rune with HP and DEF sounds terrible, unless you know about attack scaling healers like Fran/Miyang. Similarly, the Oracle family gains attack bar from crit rate but often requires other stats that look like support runes or bomber runes. Icaru runes easily fail into this special case category.

I'd agree with most of this - except I prefer Taranys on slot 4 cr or cd :p. But the slot 4 def rune with cr/cd subs can go to Icaru ;)

The question also is if you are going to keep those type of runes even if you don't have the monsters since usually you farm and think in advance. I think it's good to keep some and just sell it if you ever get a better option. If it just works for a specific monster you don't have you can also put him in a rainbowmon in storage until you get it or a similar one so it just don't use inventory space.

I never considered myself an expert in rune management and it was definitely hard for me to learn more advanced ways of managing runes, and I should really get more into the habit of analyzing when and where to use a rune even if it doesn't roll the way I want it to. Thanks man, really appreciate that! I had planned for the Rune Cleanup video to be released today, but got jammed up at work (16 hour days all week!) and those types of videos take a lot more time/prep :p. Tomorrow I'm streaming, Sunday I'm recording Rune Cleanup so keep an eye out for it on Monday hopefully ;)

Damnnnn bro, huge gz! And I see Mi Ying in Guardian RTA on occasion. He's highly underrated IMO, I'd say he hits like a truck, but honestly trucks wish they hit as hard as him.

This is the kind of content I come for. Sadly, I won't be following you over to Twitch if you go there because I just can't deal with something that unstructured for large blocks of time. Short, focused Twitch sessions? Yeah, if I remember (1-2x/month), but not on a regular basis. Where I look for content is KZfaq, though.

Thanks for the feedback Deirdre! I don't plan to stop doing the KZfaq videos - I just may be moving the streaming I do over to Twitch. KZfaq has so many technical issues for streaming and it got super frustrating, where Twitch is a super smooth process. But I won't make the final decision for about a month, I want to see how Twitch goes for a prolonged period first. For now, I'll be uploading the Twitch streams to KZfaq, and if I decide to keep the streaming on twitch I'll make a 2nd YT channel to upload those streams to so that they won't 'block' the structured videos here.

Hi Naofumi, I'm not sure I could do a full video on that, but I can give you the easy answer :) That's NB12 - because rune rates drop at 100% 6*, the B12s offer more mana by a mile. And because Necro runes are the most valuable, NB12 is the best place to farm mana.

Yeah you’re great I guess my issue personally is just identifying good runes and rune management without swop but I guess I need to I have so many monsters tricaru up and running I want to finally be able to break struggling in c1 and possibly compete in g2 guildwars

it feels like runes have a higher chance to roll the worse stats, theres no way its 1/4. ive pulled countless runes with a lot of potential that ended up rolling horribly

Hmmm I've done a bunch of siege videos and a few RTA videos. They just don't seem to get watched much, so KZfaq doesn;'t recommend them hehe. I also do RTA on almost every live stream :p And thanks!

what do you mean when you say a rune has grindable stats? can't you grind every stat?

You can grind atk, hp, def, and spd. Ideally you want it to be atk% hp% def%, not flats - though in some cases, grinding flat stats can be useful. You cannot grind acc, res, cr, cd.
