Well it was quite a long game, so the funny moments were quite spread out. There were a few funny side quests too. My favourite one is the one where you travel all across the world to unlock a chest just to discover it contains documents showing Gramps is a million gold in debt, which you need to pay for him.

I looked at them and now i think i understand that a lot of time passed between Shulk, Rex and their crew and the present time, in which Noah and his friends live. They literally described Dunban, Shulk, Zeke and so on as Kevesian and Agnian soldiers

Personally I felt like 2 had way too much comedy. Not that I dislike comedy, but after playing DE as my first Xenoblade, I feel like 2 overdid it.

@@raisylvaine8398 Humor is subjective. I personally thought a lot of the humor in 2 was just stupid, not funny. I still love 2. I just prefer how 1 and 3 pulled off their humor.

I love how 1, X, 2 and 3 has different mood and feel and their arts is served for each concept. Cannot even expect 4 will be.

@@mustacheman529 My issue there though is that there's barely enough humour to judge in 1 and 3 to make work, and then back to humour being subjective, a lot of 3's humour were just really roughly cut interactions between heroes and party members. There was a sore lack of silliness that provided a tonal juxtaposition

Comparing Xenoblade 1 to 2 is like comparing Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire to Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Both are tonally different with different character designs, with one game being renowned for its polish and the other in spite of its lack of polish.

It just shows that some people can't judge depth of character and story very well. Achieving comedic relief while dwelling in serious topics, and not detracting from the story while you do so, is way more difficult than just going full emo. Take Zeke and Pandy for example. They start out as 100% comedic relief and then their backstory hits harder because you're used to them being there just for the lols. It was like that for me, at least. Same goes for the locations. You're used to the lively colours and music, and then you reach Morytha, that has being lying down there all along...
