@@GamingTrendVideos nah, once you fill her trust board up 80% they clear up. and i think it requires at least 1 specific heart to heart with zeke. i guess it would coincide with the moment your talking about in a lot of runs if your using zeke in your active party.

I legit dropped the game for a week after watching that cutscene and was no longer in imidiat danger. I was already annoyed at Rex constant "power of friendship" battle quotes, but this drove me over the edge. I still 100% the game, but I wasn't enjoying it (unless the game didn't remind that Rex exists).

@@spouwnerring rex was very aware of nias confession, he even acknowledged it in a post battle quote and his worse fear shown by Klaus is nia not taking the letdown well

@@spouwnerring rex is literally the shitty friend that acts high and mighty but cant really live up to their act/ideals, and end up overcompensating in some way. He learns eventually though to not just use people around him as emotional pawns in his quest to find out why the world is the way it is.

Thats the thing. Tyrea and Melia are NOT half sisters. They're more like "stepsisters". They are NOT related by blood at all.

Tbf, this video is a recap for people who want to play xc3, not an in-detail recap of the whole series. Those things most likely don't really matter, at least I can't imagine why we would need to know the relationship between Jin and Lora or Melia and Tyrea, why Pyra exists, Amalthus' backstory etc. since those things most likely won't even be mentioned in xc3.

@@stripedrajang3571 well, no one knows for sure until the game comes out, but the developers already made a statement that you can play xc3 without having played any of the previous games, so I doubt those smaller things matter (don't get me wrong, in their respective games they matter but if we look at it as as a series they are just very small things). Furthermore, Jin and Lora are dead, Amalthus is dead and I just have this feeling that Pyra and Mythra either won't be present or it won't matter how they came to existence anyway. The Melia Tyrea backstory I have to admit may have some importance since Melia will appear.

Eh it's not that bad. Xeno 1 is alternate dimension. Xeno 2 is what was left of earth. The conduit gets it energy from the infinite multiverse. Klaus was a dick, probably knew this, and did it anyway.

The same thing happened in Xenogears with the main villain seeking to ascend past the suffering of humanity and become God, basically Zanza's main goal. Also Jesus Christ is a character referenced in Xenosaga. Pyra/Mythra's core crystal is the same design as the Zohar from Xenosaga, which in turn is a reference to the crucifix Jesus was killed on.

More a perversion of religion used that way. Really I always interpreted it as anti-authoritarian, secular or religious. We should all be able to make a choice, we all have free will, free will enables good and tremendous evil but it’s what makes us human. That position is compatible with some religions like Catholicism and not with ones like Calvinism which reject free will.

The Ardainian Empire and The High Entia are both secular authoritarian states, and both are essentially portrayed positively. Also, the Catholic Church is a bad example, since it is very authoritarian...

I gotta be honest I don't know all the tiny details either especially when it comes to lore and certain terminology but this is what I walked away with from my memory of playing 2 years ago before I proceed to watch the video. The games aren't really connected until you learn about what happens in Chapter 10 of Xenoblade 2. So my main gist is that Klaus the scientist fucked around with some shit and accidentally created two separate universes with the big conduit thingy. The two games are set in that the events are happening at the same time. The Architect is stuck with half of his body in one universe and the other half in the other. He's lived this way for a long time and only seems to want to be put out this existence. Some shit happens in both games but what I really got from it was that the main cast of characters had to clean up the mess that the Architect had started in each game. There is a lot more nuance to that but that's the main gist that I got.

I also love XC2 but it is a very flawed game, The story is pretty uninteresting until the halfway point, there's a couple interesting bits before then but overall uninteresting, it has some reeaaalllly obnoxious characters namely Rex and Torra, and the annoying over-the-top anime quirks it has get really grating. Still love the game but it is completely understandable to me why some people can't stand it.

I liked 2 quite a lot honestly. I’m like the story and the characters but the combat system is my least favorite in all of the xenoblade games ive played so far. The combat for me isn’t really enjoyable like it is in 3.

The loveable idiot trope is probably the reason I like Lanz so much. He might be an absolute idiot but he still is able to understand people like what happened in chapter 6 with Joran.

Who knows! Elma shows up as a Blade in 2's land of challenge, though that's probably not cannon.

In Xenoblade X you find a Telethia that is said to have come from a far away place and there is a mysterious force at work in the planet the survivors from Earth(main characters) arrived in that is causing several anomalies. They also mention that the humans are descendants of a race known as Samaarians who engineered several races to serve them(similar to Telethia/Blades in Xeno 1/2). As of now there is no direct connection but there is room to connect Xenoblade X to the other games if they choose to do so. In Future Connected there was a rift where the Telethia were attacking(maybe the one in X got in?) and the Conduit in 2 was shown to have disappeared elsewhere. The origins of the Samaarians/Mira could also be a possible connection.

The conduit gets its energy from the infinity multiverse. 1 and 2 and totally connected, as Klaus is in both. But x is like... That universe over there we are not really gonna talk about.

That's good, because I want to play 3 asap now and go back and play the others after. I'm glad he didn't show every little thing. I feel like I've been spoiled without having been spoiled. I've already beaten 1 and I'm on chapter 5 now on 2 so not TOO much has been spoiled and I still have the knowledge I need to play 3 if I'm not finished with two in time.

Tales of games actually take place in the same world, just long stretches of time apart from each other. I get what you mean though, that kind of twist has been done a lot but I do really enjoy it in Xenoblade. -Flynn

​@@GamingTrendVideos Apart from Zesteria and Berseria I don´t know of any Tales games that play in the same universe. Those two are more the exception than the rule. I am ofcourse not counting obvious sequels like Xillia 1-2 or those with the same name like the Symphonia sequel. By all means I haven´t played all Tales games so maybe some of the very old ones share a universe. It´s not that the Xenoblade twist is worn out to me and more something I don´t like in general. But whatever. It´s not like it´s ruining the games for me. Just something that isn´t to my taste so I can appreciate when others like it.
