For reasons I will definitely go into in the xenoblade 2 video, I think but like Zeke a lot more since they can connect with his story on a deeper level

@@Brotagon1st I thought it was just because Zeke and Pandoria are goofballs whereas Linka is the straight man to her parents. Which leads to plenty of funny art. That's at least what I've seen from the fanart. Either way next time I commission an artist it's gonna be some fun between Reyn and his daughter.

This video is a very well put together summary of Xenoblade ones plot beats, but at the end when you said you hoped you got across all of your thoughts on it, it made me realize, you didn’t really offer your thoughts on it. You would say I love this, or this part blew me away, but you never explained why those moments meant something to you or him explained your thought process while going through any of it. I would love it if you could make a follow up video going more in depth on your experience with the game and it’s story/world and not just the general story of the game itself.

I think that works i dont need to know his life story to understand the highs and lows of another story. I can tell it was highs and lows for him and thats enough. I came to see that after all. I can briefly telll you ankme i spired me and has great life lessons in it that teaches and taught me things about my self and helps me self improve and shows how people can grow and improve over thinga even societal. Wothout telling you about how i was homeless most of my life startinf at 15 not understanding the world and stuff

Wonderful video! Xenoblade as a series as a whole really revealed to me how insanely incredible storytelling in fiction in general can be. Before then and even after, I have never experienced a narrative as compelling as the stories (and indeed the larger meta-narrative as a whole) in this wonderful franchise. If you haven’t played the other games I really recommend it - however good you think the story in this game alone is, the other games and knowing how they all connect makes it even better.

Shulk and Reyn are always great choices for the party not only because of the iconic quotes, but they also cover the combat combo of Break Topple Daze between the two of them. Reyn is a great tank keeping others alive, while Shulk can provide DPS and moderate healing as well as many Monado related buffs.

Xenoblade has forever changed how I view works of art. The way they so deeply integrate the themes into the characters, story, and gameplay is inspiring, and it made me care about such esoteric and abstract concepts in philosophy, religion, and cosmology. No joke, I actually became more religious upon pondering everything the series gave me to think about, especially after I played Xenosaga afterwards.

26:36 No… not really. Like someone else in the comments said you really just summarized the game roughly, but haven’t really given much input yourself besides saying these scenes where absolutely crazy or interesting. I’m always super exited to see someone new come to Xenoblade and talk about it, but I wished you said more then just surface level thoughts. I love to hear deep videos about it. I watched 2-3 hour ones gladly because of it. So yeah, would love the hear just that from you as well in future videos cause I love literally all 4 (yes I count X here too) games and DLC. This is a game series I don’t find any game to be bad. Far from it.

1:34 They've been cooking since 1998, go and play Xenogears after you're finished with the XB trilogy and see how similar Xenoblade is to Xenogears, especially XB3. Or better yet, play Xenogears and read Perfect Works before Xenoblade 2 and especially before Xenoblade 3. If I could redo the order in which I first played the games I would've played Xenogears before XB2.

Just a little sidenote: If you always keep the party more or less the same you miss out a bit on what the game has to offer; Increasing relationship within party members not only increases their opportunities in combat, as with increasing relationship level they become able to share their abilities with each other (and some of character A's abilities are much more powerful on character B, or character B might want to combine abilities of character A, C and D to become a true specialist in a certain field), but it also unlocks all the Heart-to-Heart conversations, which add a whole other level of character depth to them.

Like Xenogears and Xenosaga, Xenoblade is steeped in Gnostic mythology and philosophy. Monado is the Japanese spelling of Monad, which is the God of Gnosticism. While everything in the world is part of the Monad, a part of the Monad resides in everything. So that's why there are multiple Monados in Xenoblade. Zanza and Meyneth became demiurges (lesser creator gods who are the villains of Gnostic mythology) of the new universe due to their special relationship with the experiment and thus have Monados. Shulk attains his own Monado through enlightenment. The later games go even harder on the Gnosticism.

Xenoblade 1 is my favorite story in any game, ever. Absolute masterpiece. I later molded it into a 5-year long D&D campaign w/ players who had never heard of it before (co-opting the War of the Burning Sky campaign, which...when combined w/ one of the players deciding to have a backstory that his fortune-seeing mom was ki||ed for giving bad news to the wrong person, and...yeah). Including my own version of the Mechonis Core plot twist. And they all loved it, too. I strongly disagree w/ you on the later games surpassing it, though. They're alright, but having nothing on XC1.

I just finished 1 and 3 1 was great maybe even amazing but not until I got closer to the end. I also spent 100 hours not including the extra dlc story With XC3 I loved the characters so much and the world Overall what a solid game but then there was the story that was a major let down after a while but good enough I totaled about 150 hours plus 20 hours into the future redeemed right now I agree they are great games whi set a high standard FFX was my gold standard for 20 years and not many came close aside from Xenosaga 1 and close some start oceans Very glad I came back to this and tried it

Going to suggest you play Xenogears if you can. It's got one of the most interesting stories I've ever seen in a game. And even if it might feel confusing at times, just keep pushing forward and you'll eventually see why it's praised the way it is. The gameplay can be rough and repetitive at times, but as long as you keep upgrading your gear at the lastest shop, it's an easy game.

Hey man, great video. You're a good narrator with a good sense of humor, but maybe lay off the profanity? Not for any moral reasons or anything, theres just a point where profanity stops being comedically appropriate and funny and starts being excessive. Like you're using it as a crutch to try to be even funnier or you just cant think of a better, more descriptive word. Appropriate time and place is all. Keep up the good work, my man.
