i definitely got an eye for an eye vibes from the Queen's pursuit of newt. mother-daughter relationships were at the heart of this movie, which is why i found it so devastating and infuriating that aliens 3 literally opened with invalidating everything ripley had accomplished in aliens 😑

I love Alien and Aliens. I like this video cause it touches on the details that some might have missed or didn't think about, or knew but forgot. The Aliens and AVP comics have a good story continuation that's mostly better than Alien3 and Resurrection(4)...mostly.

One thing that always confused me a bit is that when the dropship hits the landing pad, it scoops something up with its port landing gear (the two tendrils), which you see prominently as it flies away. Yet the Queen emerged from the aft landing gear bay. I was never sure if the tendrils were meant to be misdirection, or if its a mistake.

Like even if the landing gear assembly was somehow cavernous enough to contain the Queen's body (since she is much larger than a human) and if the Queen could survive the trip from LV-426 to Sulaco while going through vacuum (since I doubt the landing gear assembly would contain any life support), how come Bishop didn't notice the added mass? I mean perhaps he did and recovering the Queen was a mission parameter programmed into him. Tho it doesn't seem reasonable to conclude Bishop was treacherous from the movie.

I never liked the bit of, bringing along an egg in her purse AND finding the time to stash it IN the freaking living quarters AND!! NO ONE noticing it!!! Alien 3 was great and terrifying, but the plotholes broke the immersion for me.

I liked all of it except for Alien 3... How the fuck did that egg get onboard the ship? Watch the entire sequence of the Queen fight in Aliens, there no way she planted/carried an Egg with her.

Ah yes... Back in the days when the origins of these Aliens where still a mystery. Unless you choose to ignore the prequels they aren't really as cool anymore. But i think it's fare to ignore the current canon as there is anough alternate canon to choose from. + You could just go with the original 2 movies and treat it as the one and only canon there is. Prometheus was a pretty decent sci-fi flick in my opinion. But it made the Space Jockey less interesting knowing it was only some sort of overgrown perfect Human esk being. But still the movie set up some interesting ideas still leaving the origins of the Aliens open as a mystery. + Ther was still plenty left about the Space Jockey we didn't know. But the sequel just killed all the potential of the set up from Prometheus and Slaughtered the Alien lore by making it boring... I mean the idea of a AI going rogue and starting to create it's own perfect organism is interesting. But Ridley Scott should have just made a totally unrleated trilogy. Because the story could be pretty good. But it takes the ALIEN franchise wich was so small yet grand because we had no idea what everything was and shrinks it down to something so small and self centered. Nah... I could have somewhat enjoyed what Prometheus was going for i believe. But with how things went i must say i will choose to ignore the prequels for the time being. ALIEN is a much better film without the two prequel movies.

I was stpuid a long time ago because I thought the queen was from the derelict but when I got older I then realized that the queen was probably from newt father and the queen from the derelict was already long Dead since it was killed by a space jockey this new queen was probably the one that ripped it's way from newt father chest and then cassued the xenomorph Invision on Hadley hope.
