(also so glad i got cool new weapon) Also i think they should make the cleaner variant of accelerated weapons to be a style you can use for your own accelerated weapons, you know just a cosmetic thing. of course you need to at least recover one cleaner weapon to be able to use it as alternative cosmetic style.

You built an extra missile at the beginning there, since you already had one under construction. Probably not super important except it costs enough that you could have gotten an extra accelerated shotgun instead. Edits and spoilers below 5:55 ...no it's not? Latin America is at 47 panic, that's worse than North America, Europe, and Africa. Lower panic is good, not higher 6:38 The dropship carries 9, so *technically* you need 18 to field two teams. Of course, you have that if you count the MARS, and if you actually need all 18 that means the entirety of the first team is dead or incapacitated, in which case you've got bigger issues. 8:50 Hm. It almost looks like the MARS has ERA blocks on the main hull, which is interesting. Either the artists just slapped them there, there's an expectation of hollow-charge weapons being used, or someone thought ERA would work against plasma fire. You can freely sell captured aliens at will. They are not used like in other games to start the research, the capture is only needed to unlock the project. They are never needed for anything beyond that. Also, check the xenopedia, that transcricpt that you can read is very interesting. (In the background section)

Those accelerated Cleaner weapons look quite nice indeed. Reminds me of XCOM: Enemy Within and how EXALT weapons compared to the standard XCOM offerings.

Well played! I like to hold position in the storage room at the back rows, smashing unnecessary cover in the middle. Gives you a good position to snipe the corridor.

Can someone explain when the advanced med kit is useful after the automed module has been researched? I can't figure out a case where I would want the med kit over the automed, or why I would want both? I am sure I am missing something, the only corner case is get hit so much you want/need double healing in a turn, and I can't remember a single time I really would have wanted that.

At least in earlier milestones the automed healed wounds AFTER the soldier takes damage from them at the end of the round - and if you go below zero it's death and the automed module doesn't activate! IIRC he had a soldier with 7 bleeeding wounds in an earlier assault in the series which is likely guaranteed death without a nearby medkit (it's highly unlikely the soldier will have have enough hitpoints to survive lossing another 35 at that point before the automed kicks in). Also, if you have weak soldiers needing all of the soldiers to wear one could be an issue (while medkit can be applied to other soldiers). But yes, they kind of not worth it except in weird corner cases and the developers probably need to rebalance things to make advanced medkits more useful (perhaps healing more of the damage than automeds?)

Sidewinders seem to be garbage in the current iteration of the game. Even 4 of them cannot take down a single probe, let alone a scount. Barely dents the armor of anything heavier - less so than one auto-cannon salvo, even the stock one.

I learned the hard way that playing Iron-Man on EA titles before they are released is a recipe for disaster. After losing one campaign after putting a ton of time into it due to a bug I won't risk that again. I am playing this as an 'honorable' Iron Man.

Who would play that? Why do that, ever? Name a single benefit? Not one. It's just like admitting that you don't trust yourself not to reload if you fuck up. Reloading is necessary to have fun, as often these games have bugs and stupid mechanics. Phrosphor, isn't it "honorary", eh?
