Quarterfinals - 4 head to head 5 minute matches. Best trick counts, winners advance to Semifinals.
Semifinals - 2 head to head 6 minute matches. Best trick counts, winners advance to finals.
Bronze match - 1 head to head 8 minute match, best trick wins bronze.
Gold match - 1 head to head 8 minute match, winner wins gold.

For the love of skateboarding, if the X-Games needs to fulfill a quota of having a female voice in the commentating booth, please let someone with knowledge do so. No one cares if it's a woman or not, we just want broadcasters who are good at their job.

It's just what a large portion of skaters are these days - skatepark kids that look like they qualify for the role on paper, but really can't relate. Any STREET skater, whether it is being at a Gary Rogers or Malto level, will always be able to do a better job at a STREET event

It’s really nice listening to the commentators being unable to stop talking about how old they think Decenzo is. He’s an amazing athlete, and they sit on their butts talking. Like, just stop. And the Monster woman standing there smiling vacantly is pretty creepy. If I woke up and she was standing by my bed doing that I’d probably scream…

I find it more annoying with all the people complaining about it, nothing they say is anything but a compliment. He's still skating like he's 20 and not 37, and that's amazing and worth being pointed out.

Sticking with switch heel/nollie heel tricks is sick. But Nyjah’s got such a big bag of tricks. I wish he would mix it up more.

@@chrisreynolds654 I’m not too sure. He’s been prioritizing those tricks in every recent SLS too. I miss the the days when he’d just out of nowhere 360 flip smith grind, bigspin front hurricane, random hard flip over huge obstacles.

Didn’t think I would like the new format but you can’t deny that in the old format, a skater does their trick and may potentially wait multiple minutes before getting another attempt. In this format at least they stay warm and in rhythm. Cool idea, I liked the style score in the winter X events too. All this said WHY NO REAL STREET AGAIN THE SKATE AND BIKE LAST SUMMER WAS THE COOLEST EVENTS AT X IN YEARS!!!

It's really frustrating that they don't score tricks individually (or atleast don't present it to the audience that way). Because of this we have no idea what the logic is on the judging for each trick. We just have to trust their vibe.

1. Stop mentioning other people while skaters are going. Theyre individuals and dont care if it's someone elses specialty trick. 2. You were wrong about roughly 75% of the tricks they were trying. 3. You couldnt even get the countries correct of where your "friends" are from. Xgames went from the pinnacle of action sports to an absolute joke. Thanks for ruining a great thing!

I don’t like this format for a best trick contest. Putting skaters 1v1 is a decent idea but Nyjah is just going to knock out whoever you put him against anyways. Jamie Foy could have been on the podium if he weren’t put against Nyjah in the first round. It should just stay Jam format with multiple rounds and the lowest ranking skaters eliminated each round until the final round which could be a 1v1. This way every skater has the same chance to make it to the finals. This format is whoever gets the better match up makes it further which isn’t fair.

I hate how Nyjah refused to give courtesy to Ryan or Felipe. For the most part when he did his trick he would go up the stairs instead of around and I felt like it threw the skaters off because they had to also make sure Nyah was safe. That's just my opinion. GGs
