I’m going to be very sad when this series ends. Although I have been waiting anxiously for your video on the Sicilian deck. It’s also my favorite that I have mostly used for years.

Haha, quite right 😂 I wrote that for the English speaking audience, I always eat my Bolognese with homemade Strozzapreti 🤣

@@acpollazzo I don't mean to quibble, but I've absolutely eaten Spaghetti Bolognese in London, and Amsterdam, and Hamburg, and Paris and on and on. Outside of Italy they don't follow the same food rules. Not saying I endorse it, ma è così!

Just came back from Bologna with the only bolognese deck I could find (they are not readily available in tabbachhi there - mostly piacentine and Napoletane). Bought the Modiano bolognese deck in the bookshop next to Eataly and it looks nothing like this deck. I think it’s a special novelty deck. The iconography looks medieval but instead of coins, there’s pizzas, instead of cups there’s wine glasses, instead of swords there’s meat cleavers etc. clearly reflecting the regions famous food culture.

There's an Eataly in Bologna 🤯. I can't complain about a pizza suit, sound like a very fun novelty deck. Thanks for the info!

I've got the 'bologna' deck from french card maker 'Grimaud' and I must say it's a lot prettier and easier to read. especially the swords! I've been teaching some friends some of the games you are sharing with us and we're having lots of fun! thanks a lot ^.^

Nevermind! after watching a few of the other decks from your videos it seems as if 'Grimaud' has taken a lot of liberties and made it look more like the 'sarde' deck from your other video ... or maybe the spanish deck. they used the eagle design with a blank circle for the ace of coins as well from which deck? Seems like a mix and match of stuff and they decided to call it 'tipo' bologna.

Hello, what is the smallest regional deck by card dimensions?

Of the versions that I have it's a tie between the Sicilian and Neapolitan for the smallest dimensions. There is a Piacentine Mignon (Mini) deck that I used in the "Killer Kings" video. It's the smallest I have, but it's not an official regional size.

beautiful! I bet you get used to the busy-ness of a deck after playing a few hands with it and learn to quickly distinguish the ones that seem indistinguishable from each other at first sight ... much like a plate of bolognese - I'd know my mother's at a glance!

Well said, the more I’ve used this one, the more quickly I can identify the cards. The barrier for entry with them takes a little patience but they are very pleasing to play with once they feel familiar. Thanks for watching!
