Just starting to look into these, so this was helpful. One thing I didn’t see mentioned was how the placement of the battery might effect the stability and handling. That might be why Carly felt safer, sturdier and more in control on the Xiaomi; lower center of gravity and you are not flipping the weight of a battery around as you steer and lean.

I agree with your conclusion. There's a good reason why Bird use Xiaomi M365 scooters. They are solid, robust, reliable and reasonably priced. Just to let you know: Your creative and editing skills are awesome. 🎬🎥👍

I was torn between these two as well, the deciding factor for me was a lot of people were having issues with the "folding portion" breaking while they were riding, putting the rider in danger. Also, the ES2 had solid wheels, which I was looking for. I know you can change the Xiaomi's tires out for solid ones. I eventually went with the ES4 for the extended power and range.

You didnt cover problem with fixing holes on tires..its almost impossible when you get a punctured (spelling ?) tire ,much better with the Nineboth that cant get punctures

Subbed very good review. I ended up getting the ES3 package at Costco was great deal. No Xiaomi around to try it. Rode a Segway at store and was hooked. Fills the gap from house to train station to work.

Great editing! I definitely would’ve have gotten the m365, but I went with the Ninebot ES3 due to the $400 I got it for and the Costco return policy. If I find the Xaomi for $200-300 range again I may switch it up. Great video again.

This was my idea... I really think electric scooters should have swappable batteries like drones do so if you’re in an emergency you can get the spare battery out.

Oh Thanks, the first youtuber that comments de real range. You did a great job with this video and you explain all the important things of both. I have a ES2 and when i discovered the real range I was surprised . I did not test the Xiaomi but i think that both have good points that the other do not have. I want to commemt one important aspect: when i was going down a hill and i wanted to stop and i pressed hard the brake the ES2 instantly turned off and i jumped off to stop because i had in front of me a wall.

probably either you fried your controller due to KERS or BMS shut down your battery due to overcurrent occured by setting the KERS to strong.

Hi Ben. Just ordered a new scooter this time a Joyor y5-s with a good suspension will arrive after Easter. Have made a view test drives say about 30 km and I love it, a great scooter a little more expensive but you get all you need to commute from home to work.

Great vid, signed the petition and look forward to the m365 pro review. By the way, there seems to be a slight loophole with regards to the legality of some of these electric scooters. Basically, since you have to kick to start moving it can be considered as pedal assisted which is legal!

My 16 year old bought the Ninebooth ES2 today but it was a defective so we could not ride it (it was dead) BUT hopefully tomorrow we get a great new one in the store. Can’t wait to try it ! Hey @@balto6538. Ja det synes jeg :-) Den er noget billigere og har en lidt anden kørselsoplevelse end ES2. Det negative er, at det er super svært at lappe hjulene. Er dog kun punkteret en enkelt gang. Du kan muligvis se om du kan leje den og afprøve den hos en af de forskellige udlejere i København. I Aarhus har jeg kun spottet ES2.

Har faktisk ikke selv prøvet Es2 endnu, men jeg har set nærmest alle anmeldelser af de to på nettet. Men hvis du har mulighed for det så afprøv dem endelig begge og se hvad du synes. Nogle anmeldere hæfter sig ved at m365 er bedst på asfalt uden huller i vejen og at Es2 skulle have bedre suspension ved hullet asfalt. Andre siger m365 faktisk er mere smooth qua luften i dækkene. Personligt har jeg kørt en smule offroad på nogle jordstier med m365 og det er ikke umuligt overhovedet. Ift. dit spørgsmål omkring om man kan bruge det som normalt løbehjul vil jeg egentlig sige: meget begrænset. Der er ret højt op til det punkt hvor man står på m365 og de ekstra cm (ca. 10-15) man skal træde ned med foden er ret ubehageligt i længden.

Where we up to with the e scoot trials ? Been a year now of tiptoing around on mine, be nice to feel relaxed using it like my e-bike does , come on Britain legalise them !!!

I have the M365 over a year, this sucker is solid I have zero problem , battery still strong. my next scooter is M366 hopefully they make some like that with dual shocks and solid tires of course with retractable handle bar:)
