I was thinking of saving for the Huawei 40 pro plus , i had a cruch over p30 pro and that kinda made stay in huawei loke the most people that try Huawei phones. But it's time for a change and Bens advises are always about what's the best for the consumer ....so I'm saving for the Xiaomi Ultra now and gonna import from Hong Kong big time. I really, really, REALLY like this phone. The looks, that display, THOSE WALLPAPERS (!), the look of the software (surprised me, too), the charging speeds...ugh. Xiaomi doesn't get enough credit for just how much they've been killing the game for the past three years or so. I wish this phone was available here- and that I could afford it. I'd honestly be all over this thing in a heartbeat. Great review as usual, Ben.

You hit the nail on the head and I agree that smartphones are almost as good as they can be. I would also add that camera software and hardware can get better, batteries can be improved and audio can get better but these are not major changes

I like the back of it. Not available outside China though. I like a macro lense too. Use it on OnePlus 8 Pro. Most KZfaqrs bash it but that's a bandwagon. Still prefer Samsung Note phones overall but I live in Korea and they have great functionality here.

On point review Ben, the slab smart phone has kinda, peaked. What can they add to it next year that is actually ground breaking. Cram a few more Cameras 😁. Nope! Because as we have noticed 4 is more than versatile enough. I agree with you that at the moment the Chinese variant of the MI 10 Ultra is the best bang for your buck flagship. It generally ticks all the boxes and them some. 👍👍👍

As a visually impaired user, I really like the zoom features of these awesome phones. Unfortunately the frequencies do not allign with my region. Learned that lesson purchasing a Mi Max 3 last year.

I agree with you. That's why I'm sticking with my OnePlus 7t which I love until next year when the Fold 3 comes out. Rumors say it will come with an S Pen and the new AMD gpu support

Just got mine . MIUI 12 is so cool and nice to look at, and the charging speed is ridiculously fast too. Unfortunately cellular speeds is super slow on T-Mobile

Always used Xiaomi as my second phone : redmi 4x, redmi 7 and now redmi 8 but my main phone is always Samsung or LG. This is first Xiaomi which I want for main phone! I have hope Xiaomi will realise global version with LTE b20 800mhz. In Poland b20 is a must have. Video output would be a nice feature as well because is nice to plug phone to tv sometimes (example in hotel)

@6:30 That's incorrect. The phone does support Google Play out of the box-- inserting a Western sim allows you to download the Play Store from the Mi Store and then you go from there. I just received my Mi 10 Ultra 2 days ago and I'm loving it (T-Mobile network, USA)

Been tinkering for a few hours already. It feels smooth but there is lag when the phone restarts or rearranging the apps from one page to the other. Else everthing seems smooth. Was able to install google play store also but having troubling installing chrome. When I click it wont continue to download. Did you have issues install apps on google playstore?

I have a question: - when you go to the video camera and hit the record button, if you zoom slowly from ultra wide camera up to 120x zoom, does the lens switching show up (like in the Samsung when the colors were changing) or is it a smooth transition with no color distortion?
