Sundage Program for the XP Deus Metal Detector
This is an all round deep program perfect for stubble and pasture where ground penetration is important.
Program is as follows -
Base Program is number 2 Goldmaxx power
Disc - 3.9
Tone breaks 202,202,590,930 - 3.9,28,65
Sensitivity - 93
TX Power - 3
Frequency - 11.6khz (14khz for HF Coil)
Iron Vol - 4
Reactivity - 2.5
Silencer - -1
Audio Res - 4
Notch - 00-00
* remember no program is ever 100% compatible with every site so ground balancing is a must to keep things stable*

I am not kidding, this is probably the best deep program, I have ever used! It was fantastic for me today on a pasture field that has never been done before!

I feel the same way! Being in the states I have been told that programs that do well in the UK wont necessarily do well here. This one definitely proved to work great in my part of the U.S!!

You are my hero! This program is awesome! I really like it it’s going deep for coins on plowed fields and the tones are also pretty thank you very much for sharing this program I keep using it! :)

I tried the sondage program today ,it’s a great program I had lots of small finds including a george the third shilling on a stubble field today

Hi, (just an update) Garry R again, re my comment on my XY screen issue, looks like I needed to use the no6 Deep as a base as the 2- GM Power didn’t have the XY option, ok thanks again and will keep you posted on Oxfordshire👍

X-Y can be used on all presets mate. It’s in the menu

Hey🙋🏻‍♂️, ty for the new programs , really looking forward to trying them both this weekend in Oxfordshire, just a quick question pls, I can’t seem to allocate the XY screen to either Sondage or Forager, my XP is from 2017 and I’ve updated to 5.21? I use XY on prog 6 all the time🤷🏻 any ideas, cheers G

Hi Garry, hopefully they work just as well for you too mate. In regards to the xy screen from memory it’s on options and profile. You use the + and ~ keys to change it 👍

Hello buddy I will be testing your program this evening on a very hard field on stubble ground do I have to still keep the coil as low as possible and fight with the stubble or just go with the hight of the stubble Many thanks kind regards

So sorry for the late reply! Hopefully you got to try this settings as honestly this found me so much with D1. With regards to stubble, obviously get as low as you can but I usually just run along the top. If it’s making noise brushing the stubble and you’re arm isn’t pushing it through it then you’re doing something right 👍👍

Whe you say ground balance is a must do you always ground balance or just when the mineralization bar fills up ?

Good question! Personally I like to GB before I detect. On a majority of sites it usually stays between 76-89 however sometimes I have noticed I have needed to manually change it to settle the machine down and get that depth. Best thing to do IMO is to GB before you start then monitor the bars as you go else you could be loosing out on allot of ground penetration if you are on mineralised soil 👍👍

Is Sondage ok for either the basic 9" or 11" black coil or the newer HF coils? (I only have the two black coils).

Used it on all coils and I found the best coils to be the original black ones so all good 👍

What frequency would you recommend with the 9 inch hf coil with this setting? Lowest is 13.3. would this be ok?

Definitely go for 13.3 but anywhere under 18khz will be good 👍👍

Thank you 🙏 I will get one eventually but money is tight at the moment. On the plus side I’ll get to see what all the fuss is about online before I buy one 🙂

When setting the frequency I can only get 11.7 or 11.5 When I go into the sub menu to lower the frequency shift from 11737 goes to 11574 which makes it 11.5 for frequency. How are you getting 11.6? Maybe you have had an update I haven't? I assume it wouldn't make much difference but it's bugging me why mine wont.

It’s because you have the HF coil on. No problem, just leave it on 11.5 and it will work the same. Best of luck 👍

Hi Paul, when you save the program into a spare slot it will ask you what name you want to save it under so just key sondage from there buddy 👍

Skimming. Obviously depends on the length of the stubble though but the longer the better as there is no resistance. Good luck 👍

You can set this program up on any of the base programs yes however it is designed around goldmaxx power and honestly it is great on this one so highly recommend. Hope this helps 👍
