XP Deus II for Beginners: Lesson 6 Customizing and Saving Search Programs. Step by Step Guide.

We continue our series of videos on the XP Deus II for Beginners. This is lesson 6 and in this lesson I'm going to walk you through how to customize and save a new search program into the Deus II. There are a few things you need to know going into this video but don't worry I'll talk and walk you through everything. Its easier than you think. If you are just finding this video I have 5 other lessons listed below that will help you transition over to the XP Deus II. With the edited park program , can u still see the factory program as well , i think u said it at the end of the video , but still lost somewhat, the struggle continues, thanks a ton , these videos should be used by every single deus user

Thanks I appreciate it. Yes, once you customize a program and save it into its own memory slot, you can still you use the factory programs and compare them. That is one of the nice features.

Do you think Gregg's battery is dead on his Equinox? You did teach me something today, I didn't realize, although obvious now, what the number meant in front of the customized program name...you're the best!

I haven’t received my D2 yet. I have been watching videos trying to decide which base program would be best to build a custom program from for my needs. I primarily hunt old homesteads in Missouri that not only have iron but that also has modern trash such as tin and aluminum can. I hunt for coins. Most of my sites were homes built in the mid 1800’s which were present into the 1900’s. Which program would you recommend? I often find square nails, regular nails, tin, aluminum etc.

I suggest you read my article on my blog mentalmetaldetecting.com/how-to-use-the-xp-deus-ii/ there are some things in there about tones etc. that may help. I've been using a combination of General and Park but I've mostly been in Park just because of the same reasons you are describing. However, I have turned it into a 5 tone program and adjusted my tone breaks, changed the tone frequencies etc. The Deep HC program is good too but it eats through your battery pretty quick so you have to be careful using that one. I don't have enough time on the machine to honestly give you an absolute answer. Hope that helps.

With regards to the Big Numbers screen XP updated Versi0n 0.6 and added it to this one - i reinstalled it and have access to the big numbers screen now - i have also heard 0.7 coming soon too.

If u make a program off 1 of the stock programs , do u loose the stock program , thanks. This is my go to channel for my deus 2 , i threw the mauel weeks ago (i didnt) With me u will get a ton of views as i go over the same video over and over , 😅

so what are your thoughts on the Deus2 over the nox still on the fence on getting one

Still too early for me to make that call Ralph. I do feel that the Deus II is a better relic detector but I've always said that about the original Deus too. For coins, its close right now, I've pulled 2 silvers with the Deus that I never heard with the Equinox (or never walked over the same spot) and I've been hunting this permission since my early days with the AT Pro so I do have some miles on this permission.

@@MentalMetal ya thanks .I do want it but will it improve my finds .i think im going to stay with my Nox for another year .its hard to justify the 1000 dollars more for the D2

Yep I think you will know when you are ready. Its hard to put down the Nox to be 100% honest. I'm not going to go on record and tell folks that the D2 is better than the Nox, I think they both have their purpose and I'll keep them both. Eventually I will use one more than the other.

Yes I accidentally scrolled off the coil when I was clicking through the menu. It came back once I selected it again. My mistake.

I’m still at a stand still. I’m going to get a new detector so it’s a legend or deus 1 or 2 might just flip a coin lol

I can tell you for a fact the Legend will not come close to what the Deus 1 or 2 can offer. Especially the D2. But for the price you can't really beat the Legend. I'll have one this week and put out some videos on it.

You can get a good price on them now, check with Fort Bedford and tell him I sent you over. ;-)
