Excellent creative video reflects well on the Xeng brand...if only one can be had in Canada...a G9 please.

We visited their showroom in Mall of the Netherlands (Leidschendam) yesterday. Conclusion: Esthetically a very nice car, but with six (for us) negative points: 1. The front chair seats recline far too much (I am not talking about the back of the seats). When trying to correct this the seat goes up but also forward. We are over 190 cm tall and thus our knees got clamped. It is not possible to only raise the seat such that the seating surface becomes more flat. For elderly people the front seats are far too low. Getting out of the car is a struggle. Thus the car is not very suitable for tall and elderly people. 2. The console between the front seats is huge: very high and wide. It would be impossible to climb over the seats if one of the front doors can not be opened far enough to exit the car from the other side. Sitting in the car gave us claustofobic feelings of having no space to move. 3. Three displays looks nice, but it is only a matter of time before regulators will find the need to ban them. These screens show far too much information and entertainment while driving and is most certainly very distracting from keeping the eyes on the road. 4, There are no buttons, apart from some on the steering wheel. Everything has to be done with the touch screens or (English only) voice commands. Safety wise having buttons, that can be found with eyes closed, are much better than touch screens, especially when needing to use functions that are a few levels deep in screen menus. 5. Xpeng only has 3 maintenance centers in The Netherlands: In Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. We live near The Hague so no center nearby. A big drawback! It doesn't seem Xpeng is planning more maintenance centers in de Randstad soon. 6. If buying a Chinese car does make us think about the moral and ethical aspects: why support China who are not very supportive of Europe and why harm the European car industries (although they have been asleep thus leaving far too much room for Chinese companies to become dominent in Europe)?!

I noticed that the lidars that used to be in the front of the G9 seems to have gone. At least from the XPeng homepage in my country. Anyone knows whether Xpeng has dropped using lidars or if it's only something you get in a certain trim-level?

Cool video but showing off a performance model and being so booring driving does not really complement showing of that model could have been the Rear wheel drive and it would be fitting let us se something more spirited driving comercal with a performance model.

Give me back my stock reputation of $24 dollars.
