I really like Petu's energy, he's the reason I picked up Shen for support. Something about the guy is very reassuring, no matter where in the Rift what elo, Shen in the hands of Petu will not dissapoint. like most League players I didnt think much of Shen before. But Petu showed me the importance of caring deeply about the small details and its helped me in League and in life.

Shen is an unusual but good choice of support. I rarely play him there, but he's in my support stable because of all that he can do for the lane. Personally I think jungle and support are his most natural roles, since Shen is more free to ult at any time without losing farm gold. He's tricky to play top/mid by comparison, since there's so much more he needs to be doing there and he can more easily fall way behind in gold. It might not work for you, but start Spectral Sickle and then go Ionian Boots + Rocketbelt for him for lane a few times. The dash helps you get on top of targets or get out when things go sideways, and the 20 AH on boors is extremely useful for both his summoner spells (Exhaust + Heal are what I think are best on support Shen; everyone has their preferences) and lowering his ult cooldown. Early Ionian Boots I find especially useful as Shen hits level 6, to roam up another lane after a recall then ult back into lane to make a play with/for your adc. Plus it really stresses out the enemy adc since you walk up into your dash range so fast before they usually even have 300g generic boots. I also suggest maxing your taunting dash first. (I do that even as Shen top; it's underrated.) Whether your dash is up is the main window for the enemy team to make plays, so lowering its cooldown as quickly as possible is huge deal. They will not expect it to come up as fast as it will, and that will help win the lane.

Hey Petu. In my Ghost RedempShen mid games I've been experimenting with Cosmic Drive, either third buy if I'm ahead or fourth after a tank item. The speed and haste provided are amazing for closing out frantic late game team fights, and battle-ults are extra thicc when Spelldance procs (more than other HP items would give in its place). Bami's also keeps Spelldance activated. I consider it good ShenTech this season so far.
