Well ,folks After having the Kreft set up for some time now I must say that i am pleased with the confidence & control over the stock Xplor suspension on my 17 300 XCW. Diving issue is gone,much more planted to terrain (deflection is dramatically decreased) .I can count on my bike not being nervous at higher speeds . Setting chart gives outstanding base settings for terrain style & talent level. Looks like many 2018 KTM/Husky will have Xplor suspension. If you are displeased with stock set up ,Give Kreft a call . Orange Al

With all the ways some companies can take your money & do poor work befuddles me . With the high quality parts & settings that the Kreft set up offers to the average consumer is amazing. Just went to (Hell in the Hills ) 100+ miles event,slippy,nasty roots & boulders ..so glad to have my bike dialed in ,made it safer & more confident . Special thanks for REP & Kreft for being an important (key) for making my KTM perform at its best,when the terrain is at its worst ! LOL ! more than happy !

Nice job on making a variable mid float adjustment, this should come as an adjustment stock.

Very cool! I haven't seen anything like this before!

to: MountAiryTrailRiders. Very pleased with the Kreft revalve control .Immediately noticed that the suspension was much more controlled & staying connected to the ground(started with Kreft settings). Much more adjustable than stock ,clickers make changes that you notice so you may fine tune to your terrain. Largest improvement was that the fork no longer dives in corners & also does not blow thru the stroke during high-speed hits (rocks ,logs) it just feeds on them! That was the largest complaint on stock set up of forks & Kreft revalve & my local shop that installed the parts (REP in Mass) ,the problem no longer exists & i love the ability to go one click plush or firm in revalve control when we are in the boulder zone for a few miles. The stock forks seems to have no hydraulic control in the first few inches of travel (ultra plush) which would be great for rank novices only ,but the forks go into seemingly( hydro-lock) after blowing thru the stroke creating the dreaded deflection into the trees! I also had the shock redone & i have no longer the kick in the rear & the rear plants itself better. Still fine tuning & checking different sag settings ( 110 and 115) i prefer 110mm. I went in one click on comp on fork & one click faster rebound on rear (compared to kreft base settings) . KTM screwed the pooch with its Xplor set up for 2017 as you cannot dial out the glaring problems as stated ,my stock 2012 300 xcw had better stock suspension balance /performance than my stock 2017 300 xcw Xplor suspension. After using the Kreft revalve control package installed at my local shop by suspension guru Tony at( REP ) I can truly say that my suspension is dramatically improved over stock & i am not finished fine tuning yet! Recommend the product & service . I am picky & been riding for over 35 years with a myriad of bikes & 5 KTMs . Orange Alan in CT..

Not a problem Mt Airy. Info is key to get top performance .I am pretty good in dialing in suspension . With the inherent design flaws of the xplor set up I could not find satisfaction after a season of testing/adjusting. (vet super senior c) ,after seeing Krefts video (especially with the overlay chart on performance comparison to old style 12 thru 16 open bath forks & slow mo video of diving ) I knew i was having the same issues ,just could NOT dial them out in stock form . Just drove my friends stock 17 back to back to mine over several logs (high speed hits) stock blows thru so fast with no damping control .. then ramps up FAST in latter part of stroke to prevent bottoming = deflection ,which is bad news when your in 3rd gear in woods! It is not a too harsh problem as it is too plush that makes it harsh as speeds & multiple hits overwhelm the stock components. I rebuild my suspension every season & run ktms full length fork skins. never have a fork seal leak & average about 1,000 miles of riding a season. The 17 xplor set up IS the negative problem on the xcw line.everything else besides the damn mikuni carb is an improvement over my 12..

So is the revalve control just adjustable MV float, or does it vary the MV preload as well?
@KTMcaptain6 жыл бұрын
So... You still have mid valve compression control in one fork, and rebound in the other? Besides the one setting that shows both legs symmetrical, I assume that it'll still be asymmetrical when you need to change those settings. How is the rebound adjustments? I assume because it was kept in the normal area that the stock unit didn't have the problems the compression fork did. Your prices are quite good considering you're adding things ktm omitted to make a few extra dollars.

Thanks Firestarter. In OEM configuration, all rebound damping occurs in one leg. We divide the rebound damping roughly in half and distribute it equally between right and left legs. The rebound free bleed is fixed on one side and adjustable on the other, so you still get a wide range of rebound adjustment.

Reminds me of the NOST SS Valve, but that had adjustments for low, mid and high speed. You still working on the adjustable mid-valve float? Or did that get shelved for this?

It's nice to have dyno evidence to support manufacturer claims. Some of the exotic adjustment systems are misleading in that they have little to no effect, or do not adjust what they claim to. For example, a lot of shock "high speed" compression adjusters actually only affect low speed. Go figure! I have no experience with the NOST system, this is just a general observation. The Revalve Control system is different on XPlor and AER forks. On XPlor, it is externally adjustable mid-valve float. That's how we get such a large adjustment range, and an adjustment that can alter the slope of the damping curve rather than just shifting the entire curve up or down.

Is this going to be available for other suspension models? For example, I have 08 Showa forks (KX250F) on my bike. It'd be nice to be able to go from moto to trail riding with one setup and just externally adjust settings quickly to work right in that terrain.

Kreft Moto Oh yes, I forgot about. Good to focus on one to make it work best, but sad for us with sometimes other brands.
@cushcore6 жыл бұрын
Our Revalve Control setup is an adjustable float design for XPlor. Our Revalve Control for AER is similar, but adjusts MV stack stiffness instead of float, just because of the overall design of the fork requires a different MV configuration. I would say none of our products resemble anything from NOST...
