So instead of going in all apologetic and sht he is aggressive player. Once they are your clientele no matter how ridiculous they are innocent, cause once you start to question their innocence or believe they are criminals you lost half the case, and you client didn't get the best shot to win cause of your doubts. If they are guilty they will be proven so by evidence but to you they are innocent, have to believe it by heart.

The point of the criminal justice system in America is everyone is entitled to a fair trial and the best possible defense. This is based on the constitutional right to legal representation and due process, which ensures that every person, regardless of the crime they are accused of, has the right to be defended by an attorney.

just because it is constitutional doesn't make it morally right. say I'm a defense attorney and I know for a FACT my client is guilty of murder and rape. defending him it that case doesn't make me a moral person, in fact it makes me the opposite. similarly calling a random person in the street a slur is well within my constitutional right, but it's probably not ok to do. I think this is most peoples quarrel with the whole thing is. of course if u have a low conviction for ur clients innocence, then most people are probably ok with that .

without defense attorneys who go for the "low blows," such as picking at the tiny minute details of a case just in hopes of getting it dismissed, prosecutors and law enforcement and investigative agencies would not be as thorough as they should be. every single detail needs to be critiques and questioned, and without defense attorneys who fight for anyone, even those who seem guilty, we wont get prosecution that fights equally as hard to build a case against a person and put them away beyond a reasonable doubt that they did the accused crime

True, if the laws and justice system is either broken or outdated, then more actual criminals will continue to be freed from prison until it gets fixed. As of now, more criminals will continue to be free. It's laughable people continue ignore the system while hating on a lawyer raking in the Ws. As long as stupid people continue to point in the wrong direction, nothing will get fixed or changed. Blaming a person is their only method of cope to feel good.

I guess legally you have to but if it were me I think I would like defend him terribly on purpose. And not boast on the internet about freeing him. And before people say "Uh accused not guilty" can you tell me how many of them got called again for repeated offense? And what about the people who literally admitted they were guilty. Like pretty sure people wouldn't even be that mad if he wasn't boasting about it. It is not something you should be proud of. I feel like some crimes shouldn't be defended if you know for sure they are guilty. Not accused, talking about being 100% guilty like they admitted to you. It just doesnt sit right with me. Also holy youtube chat is being dumbasses in this video lmao. Normally it is twitch chat being insane but now it is time for youtube Ig.

@@throwawaychannel4807 I understand your moral concerns as I personally wouldn't be able to do this myself, but that is why you and I are not lawyers and they are. As a lawyer you would know very well that it is law that everyone deserves a good defense, even if they are in the wrong, it's how we keep fairness in court and that justice may be done. There are a lot of false convictions that happens all the time, so the system is not perfect for the innocents and the truly guilty. But the solution is not that if you think someone is truly guilty no one should even try to defend him, it is the duty of a lawyer to represent a client, yes even when they think it's guilty, and purposefully sabotaging a case like that will also have an effect on your reputation as a lawyer and is very unethical in the profession. You will not have as much clients especially if you are very very picky about the case you want to take, history of purposefully losing a case, and not doing your best.

It makes sense for people to be hesitant about Defense Laywers who release alleged criminals, but I would hope that everyone no matter who they are gets the best defense a lawyer could give them and that the justice system is good enough to determine who's guilty. And from another perspective, prosecuters are financially motivated to put as many people in jail as possible, how many of those don't care how flimsy the evidence is or if the defendant is actually guilty? And how many people have been wrongfully put in jail just because they didnt have a defense lawyer like Jayoma who would take their case because of how bad it looks whether it be theft,rape,murder etc. even if the evidence wasn't great?

A common misconception is that lawyers "free up people", they don't, the law does, if the law doesn't allow someone to be freed, they won't be freed, as simple as that. (Of course, there are ways around that if you have enough money and/or power)
@throwawaychannel4807

But they literally carve the road for you to be freed? I mean lets say you are in a self serve restaurant ok? They give you some meat. And instead of you cooking it, a dude comes in, moves your limbs for you, cooks the meat for you, help you eat the meat etc. You can say "The restaurant feed me" yes because you did get the meat from the restaurant. But you can also say "The dude helped me get fed". If not for the dude, you would be hungry right now. Also, what about the cases were the dude is clearly a criminal? Like laws 100% say dude should go to jail. But sometimes lawyers can turn that sentence into nothing because of some weirdass loophole?
